  1. My thoughts exactly. If those 2 excellent football men didn't see any potential in this guy, they would've just outright cut him rather than placing him on a PS. Many time gems are found hidden amongst the rubble of practice squads.
  2. Not trying to start an argument, but do you really think this was Chan's choice? Based on what we're seeing now, do you think Chan misjudged Trent and Fitz's ability - and what he could do with that ability - that much? I think this was a political "choice" that came down from above. We saw glimpses of what Trent could do in the past. He really lit it up for a bunch of games too. I don't think a new face could've come in here and rightaway declared Trent garbage and cut him. I don't think Ralph (who picked him if I remember correctly) or the fans (who saw glimpses of brilliance in the past) would've got behind that move. Instead, it looked like Chan had to show us (and the rest of OBD) that he was trash.
  3. Ummm, Ralph said we would. Although it was in the beginning of the season, Ralph said QB will be the #1 priority in this year's coming draft. And he is the one who calls the shots. He was likely the one dictating that Edwards start the season. I find it very hard to believe that was solely Chan's decision.
  4. Exactly. The NFL should really attempt to clean up this trash. He should be fired.
  5. Even if he's not doing much, I just don't get the "cut Evans" parade. First of all, he's not taking up cap space. The Bills are near $30 millions under the "cap" and by inspection of his current contract, he's making #2 receiver money (which is actually a bargain). Second, as far as we know, he is not a "locker room cancer" causing discontent amongst the team. And lastly, who's going to replace him? Another hole in the roster is not what this team needs right now. Even if he's not a #1 receiver, who cares? We should be looking to add a #1 receiver to Evans, not necessarily replace him with a #1 receiver. OK, Jeff Littman. Really, who really cares about Ralph and his bags of cash?
  6. He's not going anywhere. His contract from this point on is actually cheap compared to other WRs. There's really no point to cut him. As for trading him? We could probably get a 4th or 5th round pick for him. Not worth it.
  7. This is exactly what the Bills should be doing, pilfering other teams' practice squads. I like this.
  8. They have been told to "save their last 3 game paychecks"? What exactly have they been doing with all their other paychecks then? Just blowing them? They make it sound like being laid off for a year is going to be tough. Even the NFL's lowest paid player will make more in 1 year than many fans will make in their whole lifetime. These people disgust me.
  9. Poor baby. It's basically akin to denying his kids an education. How will they ever recover?
  10. Geez, I finally watched the video. That reporter sounds like my wife. Nag, nag, nag. Can't blame him for walking out.
  11. Vick is ripping it up on the football field and Brady is impressed, we should all forgive what he did. Can someone tell me how these two are related at all? I'm really unsure what the article is trying to say. Vick is playing great football, so as a result of this, people should forgive him for drowning and electrocuting dogs? What if he wasn't having an MVP season? No forgiveness then? And all the pro-Vick people bring Big Ben or Stallworth into the argument, but I'm unsure what they have to do with Vick's past actions either. Good Strawman arguments though.
  12. Geez, by the length of that list, you would think the Bills are competing for a playoff spot or more. The only two players on that list that should be extended are Stevie Johnson and Kyle Williams. In fact, this thread is a great example about how Bills fans easily accept mediocrity.
  13. I'm sure NFL player physicals are much different than our routine physicals. For instance, I've heard that every NFL player gets a baseline brain MRI. That is definitely not routine. Regardless, this is def no big loss. What did people really expect? He hasn't played like his former self in 3 years, why all the sudden would he being Lights Out again for the 2nd half the 2010 season for the Bills? I'm sure the Bills just picked him up for the comp pick they'll receive when he leaves them. Which will likely turn out to be a 6th round pick. It is were the *Pats, a 4th round pick. Ralph loosing 1.7 million is no big deal for anyone. Who the hell cares about Ralph money (besides Littman)? I could see if we were cap-strapped, but we're not. Losing this money means nothing. We likely just bought ourselves an extra comp pick.
  14. Funny, Peter King still thinks we're gonna get the #1 pick. I think he needs to turn on his TV and watch a game or two: Read more: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writers/peter_king/11/21/monday-morning-qb-week-11/5.html#ixzz1627Vm2RA As for Fitz, I think I'm slowly changing my mind. I think Fitz would work in combination with an elite defense. So, if it comes to Fitz and getting rid of Edwards and getting someone to build a top 3 defense (I'm talking a Ravens with Dilfer defense) vs Luck and our current defense, I'd pick Fitz.
  15. So, apparently sainthood must mean you don't fight dogs? And when was Big Ben ever convicted (or even charged for that matter) for rape? I also don't think people against Vick are OK with people that "fight bulls beat and rape women" either. Next time, take a few minutes to think before you write. So, keeping my pitbull in my 1500 SF condo during the day and then taking her for a walk around the block at night is just as bad as electrocuting and drowning her? Yep, OK. There really should be an IQ limit for posters.
  16. Whereas I see nothing wrong with the Jackson quote (regardless of Vick's past, I don't see who or what it is offending) and I own a beautiful pitbull. Most spoiled girl on Earth, too. However, this Pryor guy.... If Buffalo ends up drafting him, I'll never buy another ticket for them again. What an idiot. I hope he breaks his throwing arm next weekend.
  17. For all the reasons states above (Pike and Claussen), I really don't see Carolina going QB either. It doesn't really matter that Claussen is sucking it up right now as all rookie QBs do. They have way too many holes to fill to just so easily give up on two young QBs. Plus, they would be admitting they wasted 2 draft picks last year. Suppose the next sure-bet Adrian Peterson was in this coming draft, would we draft him?
  18. Pointing out that getting the #1 pick won't work out for us because it didn't for the Lions is laughable. Excuse me, but has someone replaced Nix with Matt Millen without anyone knowing? That's like me saying that I won't like to eat Apples because I don't like Oranges, because afterall, they're both fruit.
  19. Some people on here (you know who you are) are almost reaching stalker status. For Godsake, let's break our Stanfords course book and start talking to his ex-girlfriends.
  20. Or, another way to look at it, Gailey was running his Steeler or Cowboys offense at Georgia Tech.
  21. And also, given Merriman's past, it would not be the slightest surpirse. Really, would anyone in their right mind be surprised to hear that Merriman will be out 6-8 weeks? We should just cut him and give his roster spot to a player we want to develop. He's obviously finished. I really wonder if this was a Russ Brandon get-butts-into-seats move.
