  1. I'd give up a 7th round pick in the 2015 draft for Pryor. Or, a bag of used jock straps.
  2. The jury is still out on Vick right now. Pre-jail, he was an often-injured, average QB at best. Now that teams have a full year of film on him, we'll have to see how he now performs. Either way, without a stellar defense, he's not the type that's going to win a SB.
  3. You know something is slightly off-kilter when Crayonz becomes the voice of reason around here. If you don't know how much of head-case Mendenhall is, I suggest you do a simple Google search. I'm not trying to pick any fight here, but the guy is simply nuts. Muzzle on who, Mendenhall? I would agree. Whenever that guys even opens his mouth, something completely against the basic societal mores comes out. What Harrison is saying against Goodell is because Goodell is trying to castrate one of Harrison's strong points - being a very aggressive player. We would love such a hard-hitting person on our team.
  4. I agree, he should try to be more respectful, but he's not the first to publicly insult the Comish and won't the the last. Sure, the rapist wasn't convicted, but let's get real here. Casey Anthony is innocent too, I guess. I'm sure we can agree with any insults hurled towards Mendenhall though, he's an insult to the human race.
  5. What's so wrong with what he said? Big Ben is a legal rapist and Mendenhall is one of the biggest clowns in the NFL. Neither of them should still be allowed in the NFL. Why are people shocked? Besides, is there anyone on here who wouldn't love to have him released by the Steelers and picked up by the Bills?
  6. I would cease being a Bills fan if Pryor became a Bill. In fact, it would force me to become a Brady or Fish fan. Here's why: "Not everybody is the perfect person in the world," Pryor said of Vick. "Everyone does -- kills people, murders people, steals from you, steals from me. I just feel that people need to give him a chance." This idiot should be put out his misery. Some people call him another Vince Young, but that's insulting to Young.
  7. "A lot of people tell me what I can't do. I wasn't supposed to be here. I've carried that with me for a while, and it's grown like a fire. I'm just ready to go." What does he exactly mean by this statement? Specifically, about "I wasn't suppose to be here"? On the Buffalo Bills? In the NFL? In Elma?
  8. I really can't see why they would re-unionize. There's zero incentive to do so. In their present form, the players can still act like a union (which they are), but the can also continue to reap the benefits from not being unionized, like the ability to sue for antitrust violations. So, basically, whenever the players don't get their way (like poor helmets, not enough peanut butter, etc.), they can parade their star QBs into the court and litigate.
  9. If the players are restraining from spending their money, it only makes sense that the owners do so too, especially since their TV money is being help captive. And besides, everyone is still getting paid as before. Maybe the article is wrong, but Bills only suspended their program to participate in paying into employees 401(k) plans. This is not money that one can normally access anyway, it's retirement money. So, no one is suffering any lapse in cash flow. In fact, they're lucky for not being outright laid-off, which is what any real-world company would do. In fact, in recent times, many companies have opted-out of matching or at least contributing to employees 401(k)'s. I know my employer no longer does. Cry me a river.
  10. Exactly. I thought they disbanded? So, how can a union that doesn't exist be paying salaries?
  11. I don't see the part where Nix says he has a lot of faith in Merriman. There isn't one person in the NFL (or who is a fan of the NFL) who wouldn't agree with Nix. The problem is, and Nix himself says it clearly, "all he's got to do is get well". The problem is he hasn't done this in 3 years. That said, Nix really doesn't comment, at least in this quote, on the likelihood of Merriman becoming healthy again. I would say Nix has a lot of faith in Merriman if he says "all he's got to do is get well and I know he will". Nix actually sounds like he is already looking for an excuse if Merriman doesn't work out. So when he doesn't work out, he can just say "Listen, I've always said that 'We've got an outside backer if he can get back to where he was', but he never did. So the Bills moved on."
  12. I think it would be a cold day in Hell before we go after Clabo. Nix/Gailey have consistently told us that they will build through the draft (or at least acquire young/unknown players cheaply and not rely on big name FA signings). We already have the 3-headed monster of Wrotto, Pears, and Howard. And they just added Hairston via the draft. This gives the Bills 4 different possibilities at right tackle and if they can't develop at least one of them into a decent player, then something is wrong.
  13. I can't agree with this statement. We would be lucky if we could replace aging veterans with rookies and not have a drop-off in play this coming year because that is huge clue they will be even better the next year. We can't suffer from mediocrity any longer. We need youngsters that can outplay our current vets right away.
  14. I agree. The irony of the whole situation is that Edwards is an ex-LB coach of 4 different teams. So, if anything, he should be considered an expert at coaching LBs. The Bills weakest link last year were their LBs (red flag anyone?). So, what do the Bills do? The Bills go out and hire another LB coach who's an expert at being a DC coordinator. Anyone see anything funny with this situation?
  15. I'm going to wait until after the first preseason game before I draw any definitive conclusions.
  16. This is just a Colts decorated airplane. I've seen it Reagan National before.
  17. This is completely incorrect. So, if I peaked at Bowers medical chart and tell my neighbor what I saw, I'm breaking a law? No. Hippa only applies to the healthcare providers (anyone who works at patient's doctors office), billing, and insurance companies.
  18. Not for the Bills though. They let DBs LEAVE via FA, not SIGN them via FA. And the draft is probably the cheapest way to get them. You pay an arm n a leg for them during FA.
  19. Hey, I thought we were all racists for not falling in love with Cam? Don't try to twist the story the other way.
  20. NGU, just like what everyone else says, thank you so much for your insight. I haven't seen you answer this, but besides Newton, what's the team's attitude towards any of the other QBs? Of Gabbert?
  21. He probably just went there knowing he would be turned away. Makes him look good if he is showing up. But, it's sorta like calling someone you don't want to talk when you know they are not home - just so you can leave a message and fulfill your obligation.
  22. Oh no, I'm sure he's completely innocent here. You know, he was just sitting on his couch watching the NHL Playoffs, minding his own business, when, bam, his wife sneaks up and stabs him. Happens to a lot of innocent husbands, in fact. And we also know Brandon has been an angel over the past few years.
