Here, let me help you with that one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Bowl_XXVI Think nothing of it. But, back on topic. I believe this is a very strong, malevolent curse. Case in point, according to a well regarded source (wiki), the Buffalo Bills were actually named after a male bison named "billy", hence the Bills. This is a very clear snub to the historical figure Buffalo Bill, who was a strong proponent of Native American rights. Thus, the name the Buffalo Bills is basically an affront to Native American rights.

Fans brawl at Lingerie Football League game

Maybe once the Bills leave Buffalo we can get a franchise. Strictly football-speaking, we may not know the difference. -

Even a chick got into it. Awesome. -
I'll gladly ship Freddie to GB for a 2nd or 3rd, but a RB over 30 usually has very little trade value.

QB's we can make a play 4, Other than Draft
Saint Doug replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Vick's sorry ass would get knocked out within the first 6 games and we would all be clamoring for the rookie QB to come in. Seriously, this guy hasn't won a meaningful game in years even with the way better supporting players he has. Does the Dream Team ring a bell? We all know how that worked out. I don't think people are necessarily saying Fitz is better than Vick, but rather Vick is no better than Fitz. For the purposes of our team, such a lateral move would be meaningless. Why would we draft a QB in the first only to have him sit on the bench behind Vick of all people. What would ever be the purpose of that? Come on, your missing Ryan Leaf. He's in much better shape health wise than Manning at this point, so it should work out well. -

I think there's a bit of politics involved in regards to who beats who during preseason, especially in regards to the QB position. Who knows if it was even a fair contest. Trent supposedly beat out Fitzpatrick during preseason 2 years ago and we all know how that worked out. -
The next Bills GM is... Kevin Costner?

Kostner is a retread himself, so this is all very fitting. This thread is full of all sorts of win already! -

I say pick up one of these young QBs (Yeats) in addition to drafting one in the first round. If by this time next year the Bills aren't trying to develop 2 young QBs, then something is definitely wrong. The Bills should have been grooming a young QB - maybe not first round talent - for the last 2-3 years, but haven't. Why do all these teams with decent QBs also have a young developing QB? Because their GMs are smart. Nix dropped the ball on this one. -
Let's say the bills bomb out... is anyone else

In terms of QBs, crazy things begin happening in the 1-2 months leading up to the draft. It's a time when all prior accomplishments (or, rather, lack of) during their college careers are thrown out and a whole bunch of turd polishing begins. QBs you never believed would be 1st round draft picks suddenly begin to be discussed as top 5 picks. My point is, if we don't grab one early on (in the first round), there will be some run of QBs picked sometime after our 1st pick and we'll be left with no one to pick from in the 2nd. -
Aaron Maybin is a hell of an artist

Look at all that art he has in his studio. It must've taken up a lot of his time. For a minute there I forgot that he also plays football too. -
What will the team do about the offensive line injuries?
Saint Doug replied to ny33's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is a perfect set-up for Arizona to destroy another one of our QBs. Problem is, even with 4 QBs on our roster, do we really have a 2nd string back-up? -
I like what the Skins did in last years draft; picked up a QB with their first pick and another later in the draft. A team should always have a QB in development, no matter who their starter is. It's just good planning. If we had done so, we likely wouldn't be in such a horrible position now.

If he finds us a franchise QB, I'm all for it. Get er done Kevin! -

Vick wouldn't be an upgrade over Fitz. If anything, this would just be a lateral move. Plus, unlike now, we would be required to have a decent back-up QB for when Vick's injured. People need to start realizing Vick is never going to carry a team deep into the playoffs. -

What would you guys rather do: tank the rest of the season or trade away 4 consecutive 1st round draft picks to move up to get Geno? -
PFF: Interesting Stat Re Fitzpatrick
Saint Doug replied to Peter's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Or this is telling us that when Fitz is given the chance to actually think, he is less accurate and/or makes poor choices. -
This news is OK. It's not like he was making a difference anyhow. Either plug in Kyle Moore or bring back Robert Eddins. Youth movement is needed at this point.

While I think this post is fantastic, it's applicability to the Bills is limited. We do not how many of these failed QBs would have faired on the Buffalo Bills. While not likely, perhaps Gailey could have better developed some of these QBs or perhaps they could have faired better under our system. In addition, there are some QBs we could have drafted had they not been snatched up to ride the pine by other teams. Mallet and Kaepernick come to mind. These two will likely never get a chance to start on their respective teams, likely stunting any potential development. We'll never know how these guys would have faired on our team.
