  1. I think Spiller needs to man up, take a pain killer, and suit up this Sunday. It's a division game and he means so much for this team.
  2. Did he change his name once he signed with Philly? Demetress sounds much more manly anyhow.
  3. Don't worry. Their hand has now been forced. We'll see how this goes. But judging from last year, I think we'll be fine. Nevertheless, I think with Jackson out, our offense has just lost a dimension.
  4. Let him role the dice. Some win (Peters), some lose (Crabtree).
  5. No conspiracy. If they thought he was NFL ready, after 3 years to boot, then he would've been on the 53 man roster. Plus, every team had the chance to not only sign him to their own 53 man roster, but also "stash" him on their own PS. Neither happened.
  6. I really don't think fines are actually fines. Did Peters ever pay the fines he accumulated? Doubt it.
  7. True, but we were going to keep TT anyhow, be it him making 5 million or $50,000. Him making a million less doesn't make this situation any more Kosher. And if him making a million less really matters, then Ralph's cheap. If I were TT, I would have told Nix to shove it and would have dared him to cut me. We all know that he wasn't going to be cut.
  8. No. There was no common sense. How does paying him 1.5 million instead of 2.5 make him a player that doesn't suck? This whole situation reeks of stupidity: Nix: hey, Tyler. We're gonna cut you because you suck. Thigpen: wait, I really don't want to be cut. My Mom will kill me! How about you give me 1.5 million instead? You'll save a million dollars! Nix: Well, son, I like your style. You got a deal!
  9. True. The money he must've made in those 5 years is more than most anyone of us will make in a lifetime. While not a successful career, he has been successful nonetheless.
  10. My sources tell me cj ah you is now out of football. Oh how the mighty have fallen.
  11. Martin Nance. Everyone here thought he was the second coming of Christ. Another OBD future-HOFer was Joel Bell OT from 2009. He, too, disappeared. Too bad this guy wasn't snatched up by another team: http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Leif_Larsen
  12. Don't be puzzled by Tank's tweet. It was classic sour grapes. He said this to distract from the real reason he was cut; because he sucks. He wasn't going to tweet about how his lack of NFL readiness lead to his release.
  13. Probably just a stubbed toe. Just so they can protect him from other teams. But a year without even practicing can't be good for player development. Is he going to be this generation's Easley?
  14. Any ex-GT insurance agents floating around?
  15. Let's be real. After last night's debacle, I'm not shedding any tears over any of these cuts.
  16. 2.5 mil for 1-2 weeks worth until TJ knows the play book. Talk about winning the lottery.
  17. Strange. If he was in good condition, then why is he in the hospital? He's doomed!
  18. It's not Vick's fault that he's making the conscious decision to wear a performance-enhancing device? Plus, this is not the same as an injured player wearing extra protection on his injured body part. If so, what's Vick's current injury that he wills to protect? If this body armor serves to protect the person wearing it, I sure hope it doesn't lead to an injury to the 270 lb DE running balls-to-the-wall into it. lead with the helmet, I'd say. Would be worth the fine.
  19. I guess I missed it too. That's the problem with these Vick threads; brings out the crazies full-force. For every one person trying to argue that black is really white, there usually are a few who agree with him. You have to be careful what you read.
  20. I can't see how this is legal. It's giving him an unfair advantage in a game where pain inflicted upon your opponent is a strategy (especially to shake a QB). Sure, the same can be said for pads preventing pain and discomfort, but everyone is using them, it's an even playing field. In addition, where does it end? Metal helmets and shoulder pads? I sure would want to be tackled by metal/armor exoskeleton.
  21. Your argument is flawed. I only said I would root against the Bills if Vick was their QB. You took this statement and generalized it. Again, flawed argument. Next, it's laughable to compare Kelly to Vick. Excuse the cliche, but Vick couldn't even hold Kelly's jock strap. Kelly is a HOF QB who brought his team to 4 consecutive SBs. Only way Vick gets into the HOF is if he stands in line and buys a ticket.
