  1. The only way we move up to 1 or 2 is to package Spiller. And there's no QB worth that trade. No one cares about Jackson. As far as the NFL is concerned, he's done. It is extremely rare for a QB to fall. They go the opposite way, up. And when they do fall, it's because it's consensus among the GMs that he's likely a bust and that's pretty damning.
  2. All this 3-4, 4-3 stuff is nonsense. First, good DCs out there are not running pure 3-4s or 4-3s. Second, there's likely no such DC currently employed by an NFL team who doesn't know how to run both. If he doesn't, he doesn't take his career seriously, which would be unprofessional. That said, if you held a toy gun up to one of their heads, they'll definitely have an opinion on what they think is the superior scheme. But, this may change based on personnel.
  3. Hiring Lovie could be seen as equal to never having fired Wade, which, in hindsight, we probably never should have done.
  4. Yeah, every chick probably has her own. She must have an anti-gravity belt on we can't see.
  5. I would take Flacco in a half-heartbeat. I just don't think the Ravens will let him hit the market. Ever.
  6. And we all know Marv was infallible in his actions and words. If Russ cares for marketing in the very least (and we all know he does, more so than fielding a winning team), he better be open to fan feedback.
  7. I get it. If we get this vet that you desperately want, then in the very near future we will be placed in the position to pick this unanimous, consensus #1 QB, correct? For once I agree with you.
  8. It would be great if Jones (and T'eo, for that matter) are gone before we pick. That's 2 more QBs we get to choose from then.
  9. Geez, after reading through all this, it looks like Whisenhunt is dead in the water without an arguable future HOF QB to run his offense. We don't have that and history and probability argues against us having one of these in the near future. I know that Nix and Whaley are probably pining away for his services (it seems like GMs prefer the "safer" pick rather than the best person for the job). That said, I think Russ would block this sort of hire. Russ knows the fans have read this chapter before. I dunno, the way this coaching search is shaping up, I think many of us on here are silently wishing we never fired Chan, but just Wanstanche.
  10. 5 of them are still in this league (as of today) though. They still suck, but many of them stuck to the side of the barn compared to other years.
  11. I remember when this line of thinking was jammed down our throats when we hired Jauron.
  12. 3 different offenses sound good. Better than a HC/OC trying to jam players into his system.
  13. Great throw. Something I haven't seen as a Bills fan.
  14. With him being pulled 2-3x a drive, we may not need to move up. But he is looking good, minus those dump-off plays they've been running.
  15. If I was Jones, I would be super pissed. Doesn't his coach even have an ounce of respect for him? I've never seen an OU game before. Do they do that a lot?
  16. What is this crap with Bell? Why did they just do that?
  17. Bills must lose ALL games next season to get Johnny Football. To do this: hire Whisenhunt.
  18. I wonder if any of these Vick haters would choose to retain Fitz over Geno Smith or RG3.
  19. I don't know about the love for McCoy. Peyton is McCoy's OC. I really like the Bevell idea. A lot. And why hasn't Jay Gruden been mentioned at all? Did he send out a memo to the NFL that he wasn't interested in any HC jobs? It's becoming clear that whoever is running this team (ie. Ralph) doesn't understand that our next QB will be in charge of developing a rookie QB.
  20. Looks like Buffalo is going to end up with the leftovers. What's progressive about Smith or Whisenhunt? I would go more for Arians, Jay Gruden, or Bevell? They have proven they can develop a young QB. Sure, Whisenhunt developed Big Ben, but their original intention was to have him ride pine for a year. An injury to Maddox caused Big Ben to come alive. And what has Whisenhunt done with the QB situation in Arizona? A complete joke. In fact, the Bills and Whisenhunt deserve each other.
  21. Just based on what he did with Wilson should be enough to earn him an interview.
  22. You didn't get the memo? We won our last game against the Jets. We no longer have a "culture of losing".
  23. Yep. Once we hire Whiz, we'll know nothing changed despite Monday's press conference.
  24. Why do you combine Smith with Vick? One just wins games with few mistakes made and the other one does the opposite. Arguably the worse part of Fitz was his in opportune turnovers, which would invariably lead to our D not being able to stop the opposing team's offense. This would be one of the major reasons we would lose. It was not so much our offense's ability to put points on the board. Now, Vick. Not only could he not put up the points, as you astutely point out, he's worse than Fitz in the turnover department.
