  1. Yes, I remember that now. He went to the stadium, spoke with Pioli and Crennel, then offed himself. Very sad story all around. I'm not surprised about the alcohol bit. For someone to do these types of things, they really can't be sober.
  2. Who? Someone was drunk?
  3. Horrible mess of a hire: http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2013/01/14/lions-special-teams-coordinator-danny-crossman-wont-be-back-on-team-retooled/ So, which ST coach will Russ force Marrone to hire in 1-2 year's time when our ST is in the basement?
  4. We have seen this season the complete transformation a team can enjoy if they get the right QB. And it also seems that rookie QBs can flourish just as well as 2-4 year vets. The fact that 2nd and 3rd QBs are doing so well is going to even raise their premium higher. That said, I really believe that if the Bills are targeting a QB with their 1st pick, whoever he may be, they better pay to move up.
  5. Flacco is playing himself for a huge payday. They're never going to let him hit the open market.
  6. I don't get some people on here wanting to draft a pass rusher. We just spent a boatload of cash on 2 pass rushers, plus we have Williams and Dareus (doesn't say much, I know). These players need to be coached up to their potential or get a different job. What we need are LBs. I also wouldn't be totally against drafting another DB early. I think our team was set back quite a bit with McKelvin basically being a bust.
  7. Yes, it's been done before, but the commentary was actually very funny. C'mon people, that was funny.
  8. Great post! That said, I fully expect Spiller, if not this coming season, to hold out for a new contract the year after.
  9. This guy's saying all the right things. Like him already. I especially love the stuff he said towards the end of the clip.
  10. Don't worry folks, even if he's on another team, he'll still be posting on Twitter. That's all we need.
  11. I guess we need guys who can cover.
  12. I would trade Spiller for a 1st and a 2nd in a heartbeat. There's no one irreplaceable on this team (yet). Plus, the right line can make any RB look good.
  13. My money is on the Bills taking their QB at 8 (if they don't move up to get one). If another team takes their coveted QB before our turn, consider the draft a failure.
  14. Not unless we hire this guy: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/04/23/AR2008042303237.html
  15. Sarcasm, dear friend. There will be a quality QB available to us at 8.
  16. There's no Luck or RG3 in this draft! This draft sucks for QBs!
  17. This is your typical Bills off-season; much more exciting than the regular season. In fact, we're a regular in the off-season play-offs.
  18. If he does well, I think this may be sooner. I guess it's a good problem to have. Better than nobody wanting him.
  19. Just because it hasn't been said yet: It's on like a MOFO!
  20. Most of the NFL D-coordinators are going to eat this kid for Sunday brunch.
  21. I don't know if was the plays, but he looked Fitz-ish to me. I didn't see one deep ball.
  22. Bills need to sign this guy and fast. Make him assistant HC and show him the money.
  23. By the looks of the video, it wouldn't surprise me if Marrone told Russ/Nix/Whaley that he could revive Fitz. This worries me.
  24. The NFL should investigate this for sure. And I won't shed a tear if RG3 misses time in 2013 due to this. He's an adult. If he feels he needs medical attention, he should ask for it. And it's Shannahan's job as HC to be able to identify potential injuries to his players and refer them to the medical staff to further evaluate any such bodily insults. And I just love the way Dr. Andrews threw up his arms and said "he's running, he must be OK". How unprofessional can one get. Somewhere in this story is the truth and I don't think Dr Andrews is the idiot he makes himself out to be. I feel the NFL needs to be more aggressive in protecting its players. I'm fine with players becoming injured due to violent, aggressive play. It's part of the game. But to knowingly put an already injured player back on the field is wrong. It should be punishable via a loss of a draft pick. Fines do nothing.
  25. When I say "fall", I meant "fall" a whole round (and I'm sure you did too) like Claussin or Mallet. Nassib will not fall to the 3rd round. If anything, he'll move up to the 2nd or even late 1st. Just look at last year's QB class. There were many that moved up into the 1st that nobody would have predicted to. As for Aaron Rodgers, being picked 23 is not a fall. In fact, based on his college career, he was picked in the appropriate spot. And as someone else pointed out, Marino and Favre are from a much different era. The premium that is placed on QBs in the current NFL is huge compared to back then.
