Agreed and I like Campbell. It would need to be a generational type LB and Campbell doesn’t seem like he’s that type. It also seems like bad team building. Draft a guy in the first, let him walk, and then draft another guy in the 1st 4 years later? Most LBs are a product of the d line in front of them.
I think this depends on the player and the position. If it is a position that doesn’t have a steep learning curve and a rookie can easily be plugged in, then letting the vet walk is a good plan. If you are replacing a player that is cost prohibitive to sign, you draft his replacement. Due to cap reasons, we just can’t re-sign every player we draft. Players on rookie contracts are very attractive, especially for expensive positions. I don’t think many people on here would’ve been happy giving Edmunds the contract he received from the Bears. That would not be good team planning.

Gosh, looking at Farve is like looking at a crystal ball focusing on Rodgers. Maybe they are even the same person.

Weird use of resources considering the holes elsewhere on the team.
Did you not watch the 2022 NFL season? Here’s a recap: Hyde suffered a career-threatening cervical injury, Poyer who started strong but was injured a bunch and was a non-factor late in the season, and a guy who died on the field after making a hit. We need safety depth. It was going to come via FA or early in the draft, but it was bound to come.- 2

Jake Kumerow. The guy that somehow still has a job in this league all because some hippy shroom eating freak QB said something nice about him once.
Maybe the Jets will give us a 2nd rounder for him.

I’m hoping we draft a special teams player round 1
Don’t forget, a process guy.

My inside source says Frazier will be calling the defense plays from his couch at home.

Didn’t his parents ever tell him never to work out on a full stomach? -
Don’t worry, once we add Hopkins and Ertz, the leaders on this team will show up and we’ll suddenly start playing like we want to win. Like a team, instead of a group of individuals.
-
So, does this mean we’ll go from 1.6 to 4.0 at WR once we get Hopkins and we win the offseason?

This seems like Zach Ertz all over again. Every reporter had him coming here and a lot of the board did as well. I’d love the move but will believe it when I see it.
Wait, the trade for Ertz is back on?

There’s no confusion. A player doesn’t get to decide how much he plays for. The teams willing to pay him do. His only choice is to take the best offer or not to play at all.

Yeah, they forgot the more recent example of Russell Wilson.

This signing is really meaningless in regards to the Bills. We couldn’t beat their average OL when half of them were injured and we were facing back-ups. So, they sign Brown, but nothing really changes.

Pass, his contract is almost up. Wont get any value from a trade and then have to work on a deal while he hasnt proven much.
He hasn’t proven much because he hasn’t had any decent QB throwing to him. Still he put up decent numbers. I think there’s a lot of value to unlock here. -
I’d give a 2nd. A 1st if we knew we could sign him long-term. After a year of Josh Allen throwing to him, I doubt he’ll come cheap.

Pretty sure Hoodie was filming that.
That’s the same workout. Unless he did 2 one-handed catches while just wearing shorts.

Re-signing, not resigning. Important distinction this time of year.
That only happens during half time.

So now they have 2 QBs on their roster that have been kept in games against the Bills instead of heading to locker room (or hospital!).
