  1. Not to mention he'll still be able to walk and remember his own name in 10 years
  2. Very true. They also cleared McCargo a bunch of times, let Troup keep playing, kept McGee around, and also cleared Mario to start with a known injury. I'll even go as far to blame them for RG3.
  3. I didn't see any of them wearing a Bills uni. Should we be panicking?
  4. For a decision as monumental as this one, two threads are needed.
  5. Seeing how even the Bills don't expect to win this year (new coaches always get a freebee their first year to "evaluate the roster"), let's call his bluff and cut him. We'll take the cap hit now and he'll get nothing.
  6. Just another example of a player who the Bills could of had for very little....
  7. With our first pick, a big investment in my mind, I would like a guy who will be a Bill forever. As our current FO is showing us now, us drafting a OG in the first wouldn't fullfil this criteria. If Levitre is commanding 8 million a year, imagine our FO's response towards a perennial All-Pro guard.
  8. This is really not a bad idea. It would increase our odds and we really need that at this point. I don't even care if it means us losing out at another position. If we get a franchise QB and nothing else, the draft will be a success. My only hesitation is that it's asking for a QB controversy. We'll have to listen to "put (insert name) in" all season.
  9. This Manziel talk has got to stop. Don't people understand the planning/hard work/ineptness/price that goes into getting the #1 overall pick?
  10. But, wouldn't that mean you need a good defense then? I don't see the Ravens or 49ers D as crappy. Both their offenses were built around QB managers, except that Flacco became hot.
  11. Even a RB? My guess is next year is the time to draft Spiller's replacement.
  12. In regards to all this analytics stuff, wouldn't us fans be able to match or exceed the accuracy of the Bills analytics machinery? After all, analytics is supposed to take the subjectivity (GM or scout personal experience in selecting talent) out of the equation for identifying particular football players to invest in. Analytics likely focuses more on objective findings (individual or team stats, strength of opponents, years of experience, etc) and that, we as fans have access to.
  13. I totally agree with this. The first round can be thought of as 2 separate drafts; one for QBs and one for every other position. Before the draft, teams ask themselves which draft they want to be in. Whether you need a QB or not is a simple question. There's no gray area here. If they then decide they need a QB, it's which one and they are then competing with other teams lined up to get a QB. Teams don't ask themselves whether they should draft a QB or a DE, or a QB or a CB. And as it happens, there are a handful of QB needy teams in front of us.
  14. With the word on the street that the Raiders are trying to trade their #3, I think that's the only way we get Geno. Even then, it may be too late if Jax grabs him. Otherwise, there's no absolute way he falls to our spot.
  15. No. Mathematics and probability theory told me. Seriously though. QB is THE most important position in football. No question there. 5 teams ahead of us saw inadequate play out of this position. How else who you solve that problem? Pick the best QB this draft has to offer?
  16. I still don't get this. There's 5 teams ahead of us that may likely pick a QB. For those who want Geno, keep dreaming. It ain't gonna happen.
  17. True. I also don't think Kaepernick should be on there either. SF was winning with him and without him. Plus, he's played so little. Teams may still figure him out.
  18. We're all saying Kelly matured when he came to Buffalo. Did he? Even with all the wife beating and blow rumors? And not being disciplined enough to give it your best 4 Superbowls in a row? I think I'll skip the "dick" QB.
  19. Cassell missing Brady? Not really. He did pretty well in NE without Brady.
  20. I would like him better if he was in the disinformation business.
