  1. This thread is great and all, but we had one of the best o-lines in the NFL last year and where did that get us? So, /thread.
  2. Some fine dumpster diving. Who now said we wouldn't be active in free agency?
  3. No, Provo, Utah. They are the next city to get Google Fiber. Good for the Bills.
  4. I would say the Federal Government doesn't charge someone with a crime unless they have overwhelming evidence and are assured of guilt. Look at Richard Jewel. He was harassed to no end by the FBI, but at the end of the day was never charged with the Olympics bombing. Still destroyed his life.
  5. You're being very provacative. Truth is, it's not black and white. Agents are like lawyers. There's many working for their clients, but many working just for themselves.
  6. Not at all. But when I read these stories about players holding out and crying to the media about how they need to be able to put food on the table, I can't help but think the agents are getting into these players' heads and getting them all worked up about how they deserve to make more money. When a players sits out training camp or half the season, I don't think the players want to do this, but their agents convince them to. He may have had a bit of a down year in 2012, but is there another defensive player in the NFL as dominant and game changing as Matthews? And he's only 26. We probably hasn't even hit his prime.
  7. But the dude probably could have waited to the end of next season and been the highest paid non-QB in the NFL. I do respect him for having his own brain though (not being lead astray by his agent) and realizing $31 million is plenty enough money.
  8. Keenan Allen, never knew he was Zach Maynard's half-brother.
  9. That's disgusting. She littered my internet viewing. Arrest her at once.
  10. This doesn't look like a well controlled study. I would have made a group of people who like beer vs people who state they don't like beer vs a non-alcholic beer group. Bad science.
  11. So, Clay Matthews gets a 5 year extension with $31 million guaranteed, but we signed Mario Williams last year for 6 years with $50 million guaranteed. Hometown discount or did the Bills vastly overpay? Probably both. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/9183033/clay-matthews-signs-extension-green-bay-packers
  12. Then I'm fairly certain it's the chart used by Buddy Nix.
  13. It's true. If you knew any ortho docs, you would agree. And the ones that don't match in ortho, which is fairly competitive, become sports medicine docs.
  14. And this is what makes it a physician's dream job. I don't think there's any ortho docs out there that would turn this gig down, regardless of the lack of pay. It pays in many other ways. Also, orthopods are just frustrated jocks who went to med school instead of devoting all their time to playing competitive sports. They love this stuff. There's also mid-level providers too. Remember, nurse practitioners and physician assistants can prescribe medication, as well as podiatrists. NFL teams need full-time providers 24/7, I doubt they are employing physicians full-time, so mid-levels would work out well here.
  15. I think the team physicians are under great pressure to be "yes men" and prescribe anything, within reason, to players. They're not going to be a Michael Jackson doctor, but if they say no, there's likely a long line of other physicians waiting to take their dream job. And it must be tough too. These players live under extreme circumstances and are going to have chronic pain during the season (and likely after it too). You need to treat their pain and ketorolac is a non-habit forming analgesic. You can't place them on chronic opiods, so there's a trade-off. That said, there's something to be said for Motrin 800 mg. It is also a great analgesic, but is also associated with side-effects with chronic use. For those who don't know, toradol and motrin, while not exactly the same, belong to the same drug family, NSAIDs.
  16. Ketorolac is an excellent analgesic. It has been shown to be as effective as opiods in trials, but has zero abuse potential. Let's not give this drug a bad name. However, this drug has restrictions as do most medications. Due to renal issues, it shouldn't be used for more than 72 hours. It's the team's physicians we should be pointing our fingers at. This medication cannot be dispensed without a prescription. But, let's no drag a perfectly good medication through the mud.
  17. I think that's just a function of a GM coming in, cleaning house, and installing his players. Letting Levitre go and plugging your own draft pick isn't always a good idea. Plus, the Bills are a charity. They're giving out paychecks that no other team would do.
  18. Either the Chiefs are totally inept or they're trying to desperately convince another team that the player they're opting to replace in this coming draft is actually pretty good. I don't think they're even going to get a 2nd and may end up releasing him. He's sort of thrown a wrench in the Chiefs' plans of trading him for a couple high picks and drafting a blue chip LT. If I were the Bills, I'd offer a 4th in the 2014 draft and switch him to LG.
  19. The other huge assumption here is that aliens having a human-like form. This story's a bunch of crap.
  20. This is all based on the assumption that aliens contain DNA, which is a fairly large one at that.
  21. Any other scrubs we can convert to WR? Man, I just looked at the Bills current roster. I have no idea who 50% of these people are or where they exactly came from.
  22. But are they going to find anyone that does have a good resume? It's not like there's a big name coach out there that's available. Anyone they pick likely isn't going to have a great resume.
