  1. Unless its an elite special RB with lots of wear left, I would never give any RB a big second contract.
  2. That was Russ Brandon and John Murphy propaganda. He wanted to be paid after a position change. Simple as that. The Bills didnt want to pay the going rate and dealt a future hall of fame LT just entering his prime for a very late 1st rd pick. It was a horrible trade by a "GM" that didnt know what the hell he was doing.
  3. Whaley, Brandon, Overdorf gave Dareus a huge deal with no boilerplate voided guaranteed money clauses despite constant drug, weight, and maturity issues. Good riddance to those clowns...except Overdorf.
  4. Go O‐line. Despite all the additions to to the Oline, only Morse is a proven good player. The rest were average to journeyman Guards and a 34 year old swing tackle thst played good in spot duty. The Bills are in a great position at 9 to grab one of the top 3 Offensive Tackles in the draft and solidify the O-Line.
  5. He totally stunk in 2017 and barely played with concussion issues last year. I don't mind taking a flyer on him for a cheap price, but I hope Beane doesn't offer him good money.
  6. The trade by Russ Brandon will go down as one of the worst in franchise history. You simply don't trade a franchise LT that flashed Munoz level ability according to his Oline coach and was just entering his prime for a late 1st Rounder. Peters will be a possible 1st ballot hall of Famer while Eric Wood was an oft injured above average to good Center that was forced to retire early. The Bill's actually hit on that 28th pick and it was still a hose of a deal. Yes, Eugene Parker was a doosh, but the Bills weren't blameless as well as they moved Peters to Right Tackle and gave him a raise, but then immediately shifted him to Left Tackle and signed a RT and Guard to huge money that dwarfed his. Meanwhile Peters is playing All-Pro level LT while two stiffs playing lesser positions are making double and triple his salary. Bottom line is Bills shouldn't have let him get away over money when 10 million a year was reasonable. Don't fall for the Russ Brandon John Murphy spin that they peddled after the trade.
  7. Edmunds stinks at Middle Linebacker so far. I expected growing pains and know it's early, but he is downright brutal right now.
  8. Graham and Carucci don't get along...Tim knew he was leaving and gave Vic a parting shot with his Cornelius Bennett comment.
  9. 1) Nate Peterman will start week 1 2) Bills will have worst pass blocking Oline in NFL 3) Bills will have a top 10 defense Bonus: Kerley leads Bills in Receptions
  10. 1) Ability to process the game quickly 2) Accuracy
  11. "When confronted by Kim Pegula, the sources said, Brandon denied any such relationships, but the investigation indicated he was deceitful about that and other job-related issues that were uncovered." This line caught my eye...Hopefully more news forthcoming.
  12. Buddy wasn't named GM until December 2009...Peters was traded in April 2009. Brandon and Overdorf handled the negotiations with the Eagles.
  13. Least Favorite...When he traded a future HOF LT just entering his prime for a late 1st Round pick as GM.
  14. Tasker once said on a preseason broadcast that it would take multiple 1st round picks to pry EJ Manuel from the Bills. John Murphy once said when Tyrod signed his 1st contract extension here that he would take Tyrod over Matt Ryan. Baghdad Bob thinks these two guys are ridiculous homers...
  15. Bills should take a flyer on Bridgewater if he becomes available...and still draft a guy early.
  16. Preston is durable as all hell, but lacks the speed and playmaking ability of the elite linebackers...You simply can't tie a ton of money into a player like that, which I am sure he will get as a UFA.
  17. I watched quite a few Wyoming games and it mystifies me that this guy is considered any better than a 3rd Round project let alone #1 overall by Kiper. It's insane.
  18. I like Gaines a lot but he is going to be pricey and has missed 26 games the last 3 years. Too much of an injury risk.
  19. Taking Whitner at 8 and trading back into first round for bust McCargo who was projected as a 3rd rounder was inexcusable. Also traded up for Poz. Kyle Williams saves the Levy Era from being a total joke...not that Marv was really running the show anyway.
  20. I banged the drum for Watson predraft. He is a special player. Scouts get caught up in measurables and you get people like EJ Manuel taken in the 1st Round. Meanwhile guys like Russel Wilson, Watson, Carr and Bridgewater drop. It's why a guy like Josh Allen who has no accuracy or pocket presence will go early in next years draft and be a bust because he has great measurables.
  21. At Whaley's urging, Impellia hired Percy Harvin, but unfortunately he got a migraine on his first day and went home at lunch.
  22. Whaley went into training camp with Manuel, Tuel, and Lewis as his QB's, not once which is bad, but twice...that is inexcusable. Kyle Orton was a journeyman QB brought in at the last minute after Marrone blew a gasket. Tyrod was not a hot commidity when brought in and all reports were Rex pushed hard for him. Peterman and Cardale were 4th and 5th round picks, one considered a major project and the other a quality backup candidate. When you consider what little effort and treasure Whaley put into replacing EJ and the fact Whaley was according to reports pushing EJ on the coaching candidates during the Rex hire, traded away the coach's choice for backup QB (Cassel) to elevate EJ, and allegedly pushed for EJ to start last year...I would say Whaley was clearly delusional to Manuel's ability and didn't do nearly enough to find a replacement when it was clear to just about everyone that EJ didn't have close to what it took to be a good NFL starter.
  23. I agree changing D schemes hurt Whaley, but he was a weak drafter, poor at cap management, did not find franchise QB (in fact put in little effort as he stuck with his guy EJ), traded up far too often (1,1,2,4,4,4 for Watkins & Ragland is ridiculous). Whaley was a good pro scout, especially on the D side of the ball, but was overmatched as a GM.
  24. Cap Trouble and trading away picks to win now and the best he could do was ,500 EJ and Cardale... Using a 1,1,2,4,4,4 on Watkins and Ragland... Horrific contracts... Moronic press conferences... Weak drafts... 7 years in major role without playoffs... No I don't miss Whaley. Does it mean McBeane is any better? No, only time will tell.
