  1. If he was so easy how the hell did he end up with a 38-28 career record with less than stellar teams? That is not a game here or there. http://www.patriots.com/alumni/index.cfm?a...etail&bio=11532 You are right. I was wrong about the 2003 game being his last. It wasn't that one I posted where he was AFC Player of the week or the one you posted where he lost on the road at Denver. I'd forgotten that his last start was in 2004 in a 24-17 win against KC. (13 for 22 for 199 yds 1 td run and 1 td pass). My point still strongly stands. Even at an ancient age, Flutie was never "figured out". He was (and still is) a far better QB than the stiff that is wearing his number Loserman supporters are pathetic for supporting a guy who can only dream of his team scoring 24 offensive points.
  2. That's a bunch of crap. In his last career start with the lousy Chargers, he led them to 42 points, the most in 10 years. Flutie was 21-of-29 for 248 yards, ran for 2 TD, threw for 2 more and had no interceptions. http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/recap/NFL_20031109_MIN@SD In the season finale of his last year as a starter, he threw for 377 yards. Sure wish defences could "figure" out Loserman and "shut him down" like they did Flutie.
  3. I'd say Flutie's 21-9 record was pretty consistent. He clearly demonstrated that a good QB can function with a mediocre offensive line. The JP Loserman bashers have it completely right. He is beyond terrible. He is a direct clone of the other sack prone long haired loser QB from California that Bills fans put up with for far too long.
  4. Flutie was 21-9 starting for the Bills and led us to two playoff appearances. He does not deserve to be put in the same breath as the rest of those losers.
  5. You hit the nail on the head. If Donahoe and Wilson had been Flutopians instead of two of Rob's Knobs, the history of this franchise would have turned out so much better. All of these JP Loserman fans who make excuses for him because of his below average O line have totally fogotten what Doug (21W-9L) was able to do with a mediocre supporting cast.
  6. Go back and read the beginning of this thread. I did not start calling anybody names. I just agreed with the guy who stated the Bills would be better off with an old Flutie than what we currently have. Like anybody who dares to speak well of Doug, the abuse was hurled my way by the alumni of the Rob's Knobs fan club.
  7. If you get my point, you can politely say, "I agree with you." instead of being a rude hole.
  8. Flutie amounted to a trip to the Pro Bowl and named as as an alernate in 2 of the 3 seasons he was given a chance as a starter. That is considerably above marginal. I would lay heavy odds against Loserman ever coming close to making that trip. Sorry for bringing up this history but I finally snapped watching the ghost of RJ play today. Bills fans have a history of defending losers and disparaging winners. Lossman believers are Rob's Knobs Part 2.
  9. The Knob and Flutie each had plenty of playing time during their seasons together to be able to make apples to apples comparisons. One doesn't have to look beyond the time Flutie left to draw any apples to oranges conclusions.
  10. That's the sort of warped thinking that's enabled the Sackson/Deadsoe/Loserman eras. I don't care if a guy is 4 foot 3. If's he's 21-9, while the tall guy is a perrenial loser, the midget gets the call every time.
  11. No it's obviously not but the one thing the 21-9 Flutie vs Sackson debate should have made abundantly clear - a QB is far more important than any other player on the field. It's painful to root for a team with a crappy one. I don't want Marv's legacy to be tainted by hitching his wagon with someone who is in over his head.
  12. Yes, the whole league were a bunch of tools for not signing Flutie in his prime. It was the equivalent of not bringing up a guy who scores 120 goals in the AHL. When he was winning all those CFL MVP awards, it was bloody obvious that he was superior to garbage players like Todd Collins and Billy Joe Hobert and I rejoiced when AJ Smith was finally able to win his case for bringing him here. If senile Wilson and Donahoe hadn't fallen in love with the bandanna boy, Bills fans would have had far happier memories over the past few seasons.
  13. The only retards here are the guys who do not remember how great it was to cheer for a winning team. The Kelly era was obviously the best time since the 60s but the Flutie seasons were infinitely better than the crap the Bills have served up since. Doug deserves far more respect than what is shown on this board.
  14. The decision is important because the same guy who chose Roberta drafted Loserman. Bills fans should learn from history. Why would the Bills ever have faith in this guy? Let's hope that Marv gets this corrected by the next training camp.
  15. True, Flutie did not transform the 1-15 Chargers into a powerhouse but he did make them respectable. Marty made the same mistake that the Bills made and went with youth way too soon. Flutie was the answer from 1998 thru the Deadsoe era. If you put him on the field today, he would be below the top echelon of NFL QB's but clearly superior to a stiff like Loserman.
