So, there is an appetite in Buffalo to buy up to $1 Billion in undervalued bonds? 50,000 people willing to lend $20,000 interest free (or very close) to keep the Bills in Buffalo?

Getting old? It has happened twice this year and we are still 21st in the league in scoring. Although the offense may be ahead of the defense, it's not that far ahead. We still need talent on both sides of the ball and I don't think we can ignore either side.

I was trying to do a "back-of-the-napkin" valuation for the Bills and I looked at the most recent Forbes list. The number that really stuck out to me was that the Bills have approximately $127 million in debt. Any idea how/why the Bills acquired so much debt?

I prefer to think that releasing Edwards shows some confidence in Brohm and Gailey wants him taking more snaps in practice. Edwards may have preferred to be released than be the third string QB and the team granted his wish.

The team needs to be sold. If it's not economical to put a winner on the field in Buffalo, then the team needs to move. Before they move, I would like to see one of the groups talking about keeping the team in WNY given a shot at turning it around. I know Mr. Wilson has said that he won't sell the team, but I'm hoping he sees the light before he "Sees The Light."

One more difference - it would show that the Bills could get a coach like Cowher. Still lots of stories out there that the Bills chose Gailey because top coaches won't come to Buffalo.

Except I think the original post wanted the stadium paid by taxpayers. Of course a new stadium would increase the value of the team and cause the new owner to go further in debt anyway - but it might make it worthwhile to keep the team in Western New York - at least Ralph's heirs would make more money.

It's been talked about before, but the team only has no debt load as long as Ralph owns the team. Any new buyer will be borrowing most of the cost and the Bills will be in the same position as everyone else in the NFL (except with an old stadium unable to generate sufficient revenue to pay off the debt).

Missed penalties are an expected part of the game. In my mind, the original lawsuit was dismissed because the plaintiff received the contracted entertainment, however the gambler bet on a game that was misrepresented. If you told a gambler that there will be missed penalties in the game, he would probably still make his bet; if you told him one side was filming the other team's practices outside the rules of the NFL, he probably would not make the bet or change his bet.

It seems the court is simply saying that the teams provided the entertainment that was promised by the ticket, but I wonder what would have happened if the case was brought against the Patriots by somebody that legally bet on the game and lost money.

Maybe, but that pressure is on the coaches/management, not on the players.
