  1. I'll watch the games regardless.. Watched all the games for the 17 year drought not stopping now.. but Frazier and Dorsey fill me with worry. Beane hasn't drafted well in hindsight, and Coach McDermott always seems to find another thing he needs to work on for next season. So my confidence is not high in regards to winning it all with this gang
  2. Where were all the short crossing patterrns, where were the quick slants.. They were very rare. Our screen game was mostly to the outside. How many dump offs did we see between the hashmarks? I too watched film and yes there were players open on the shorter routes but most time they were off to sides. Lots of tiimes we had 3 WRs 15 to 20 yards down field this was by design so I ask why? You think Allen is incapable of throwing short? Allen was not getting the ball out quick enough and took a lot of sacks this year. Our OL is below average, but he was also waiting for plays to develop and while he was waiting pressure came and he either fired the long ball or took the sack. A good OC would have better designed outlets... Our dsesigned outlet was Allen scambles and that was shut down. I started asking about crossing patterns and quick slants mid season and it never changed.
  3. Like we say in Buffalo "There's always next year"
  4. Dorsey's scheme was all about keeping the middle of the field open. He basically sent receivers on out patterns or sent them on longer patterns, the majority of the time, just to keep the middle open for Allen scambles. As we saw Allen scambles became less effetive as the year wore on and the mind boggling thing is no adjustments were made, a solid portion of our Offensive plan was nullfied. Our OL couldn't keep the middle open, and teams ran a spy on Allen as well. As we saw during the Bengals Allen tried numerous times to step up and run only to be shut down immediately. Basically Dorseys O scheme had no answers to counter this and it got woefully exposed.
  5. The defensive scheme works... IF! playmakers are making big time plays consistently, pressure on the QB / sacks coupled with turnovers.... When that doesn't happen the defense is very vulnerable. With the injuries we had to key players adjustments should of been made
  6. We either are the better team or we are not. The Jets are going to make some big moves so adjust your thinking, and accept it.
  7. I don't care if Brady goes back to the Pats or to Miami and Aaaron goes to the Jets... You want to be the best, then beat the best, any one hoping for a weak schedule just so we can dominate and have an easier ride to the playoffs is just weak sauce.... BRING IT ON...
  8. No of course not, you fire McDermott and the new HC will bring in his own Coordinators... silly
  9. But it does not fix the Bills issues because we had Crowder and Cook both capable of being receiving options out of the backfield and we didn't utilize them. Heck didn't even design plays specifically for that skill set. Breece Hall would of not fixed our issues IMO, maybe he covers them up a little bit but the underlying problem would still be overall O scheme.
  10. And how does this fix our OL.... or our non existent short passing game... It does not. Maybe Brece disguises our weakness a little more but our OC is incapable of designing an O that would of taken advantage of what Breece could do. Heck we barely used Crowder or Cook both whom should of been more involved in that way. Although I wish we did spend more resources surrounding Josh with a a better cast, we need 3 new OL and another TE and true #2 WR.... but cocching was our biggest enemy and Allen struggled because of a tired predicatable O scheme.. Allen was capable of masking the ineptness of our scheme, but when you peeled back the layers you end up with the OC
  11. this is the way it works.. You win you get noticed and you get accolades just like lots of people are now saying Allen is fraud and has been exposed... it doesn't matter what we think, what matters is how many AFC Conference titles and SBs you've been to. When you beat up a team with another solid QB and make it look easy you leap frog and rightfully so. If Allen is to be considered the best he is going to need a new OC and he needs to adapt his game to something a little diffeent because the Daboll/Dorsey Offense designed for Allen has been figured out and if we do not change it will be a real long 2023. Daboll/Dorsey offense is mostly about sending WRs deep or on outs keeping the middle of the field clear so Allen had scramble options, when opposing Ds take that away and our Coaches having no adjustments ready screwed this team over. Also if Allen is going to have a chance at the greatness we envision for him our management team has to take their collective heads out of their asses and actually build an OL and develop some more consistent WRs
  12. Why do they suck at drafting and developing OL? why did we do little to help the offense the last few drafts? why do they not get TE's more involved in the passing attack? why do we not have a short game to counter teams who blitz or play us deep? WHY ? WHY? WHY?
  13. Next Year is going to be a step backwards IMO.... We have to let 1/3 of our roster go and find better replacements Add in the fact that in hindsight we draft like turds that order just got taller. then we obviously have inferior coaching because other teams have weak areas but remain strong and dominant when the time comes
  14. The game is won and lost in the trenches. You may win in the regular season but you ain't winning in the post season with porous line play. Lots of injuries on the DL skewed that side a bunch... BUT the OL is just a gigantic swing and a miss....
  15. I'd vote to clean house but we are not going to get rid of Beane or McDermott. Beane needs to hit a grand slam homerun this offseason, we need to let some expensive contracts walk and replace them with cheaper and yet better options. McDermott needs to revamp his process, because we are losing trust in it. Best we will get is purge the OC and the DC...
  16. 1st of all, and I can not stress this enough, Who the hell is racing to Upstate NY??????? Maybe for retirement.. but you are not going to find any job in pro sports in Upstate NY. Which brings me to the next question.. Where were you born and what made you a Bills fan, because you are very obviously not from the Buffalo or the NYS area. Dorsey was rookie, no coordinator is going to be scrared if we fire Dorsey after a season. In fact his promotion had to be seen as a trial because he has never been an O. Cord. before... I was luke warm on our Offense this year. It was on fire early but we were figured out. No short routes, no succesful screen game, no quick slants, no adjustments when it became obvious we needed them... That should be a part of every pro offense but its such a small part of ours... Allen was able to mask the short commings... Frazier, maybe if we didn't have injuries his system may work, but the fact is you're going to have injuries... Now I think our philosophy of having enough personell for constant DL rotation is causing us issues with other parts of the team spending to much resources there... But my real issue is we have way to much cushion / soft zone for my tastes. A lot of this goes away if we can pressure the QB but Frazier hasn't been great at getting pressure on the QBs, and couple that with a soft bend don't break philopsophy that needs pressure to succeed he had no adjustments. We rush 4 then we should have had plenty of players able to clod everything up.... but 10 yd cushions is inexcusable I seriously doubt we will have any issue attracting coaches is we decide to look..... but I fear is wasting the Allen years afraid to make changes when it becomes obvious we will need some
  17. we need new coordinators.... I just don't see us purging McDermott or Beane but their leashes are much much shorter we are going to have a mini rebuild this offseason when we let a few players go and sign some cheaper alternatives... Now is the time to bring in some new Coordinators to work with a new players/core
  18. team needs a mini rebuild but that will be dangerous knowing that McBeane has been average at best at drafting
  19. I think most of our problems is a common denominator... coaching/coordinators Our O scheme.. We do 2 things routinely and it has worked but its been figured out. You either send our receivers on outs , or you send them long on pass plays so the middle of the field is open for Allen scrambles... We haven't seen much of that at the end of the year because teams have figured how to negate that. A lot of us wanted to see the underneath stuff more often. Quick slants and crossing patterns, screens that work etc... but it was never schemed in. I don't see Dorsey flicking a switch and creating a more robust scheme. He basically took notes from Daboll and kept running the same concepts. All of this is magnified by our purtrid OL. Our D is bend don't break, which requires the D to make big time plays. If they do not make big plays then we get long days.... We did have lots injuries, but we invested heavily in the DL with little to show for big plays once Miller went down.
  20. A lot of us saw our problems very early in the season with losses to the Jets and Dolphins.. Our D scheme and O scheme have exhausted themselves. We are now on to a minor rebuild. We will need to make hard decidsions this year on salary cap and cap gymnatics is not the answer. We need to draft much better, not many difference makers have been drafted by Beane and Co. Lots of roll players but we need more difference makers
  21. if we need a dome to win, then we are not good enough call a spade a spade, we saw our problems very early on in the year when we lost to Miami and the Jets, those problems were on full display going against a top playoff team
  22. the other reality we are forced to endure is a bit of rebuild the next few years. Our drafting has been so so , and our salary cap is extremly tight. Cap gymnastics will only make it worse because we need new players and a few different key positions and FA is out of the question.... So now we need to draft way better but we are already 2 drafts behind the 8 ball now with role players instead of difference makers
