  1. just the same its very good were getting McKelvin some playing time and still winning besides his mistakes. He'll get better.
  2. locking up depth is not a bad idea... 5.3 guarenteed on the extension is easy to absorb...
  3. Polian #3, Levy and Co. #4 and AJ Smith # 6 are all at the top and all come from the same Buffalo bills pedigree.... that is interesting and encouraging. We know Polian is a bonafide GM stud. AJ Smith has bee a shrewd GM and made some great moves in his short time, and Marv IMO has done a solid job getting the Bills back on track. Hopefully the Levy leftovers can continue on and maintain the same mindset that got Polian Levy and Smith there top of the NFL rankings
  4. This is a very simple question to answer IMO The game is won and lost in the trenches. If you do not have a very good OL and DL you won't have a very good team. DOnahue avoided putting any real talent on our OL and our team suffered. TD took only 1 chance on Mike Williams and that busted, but he never tried to adrees th eOL iwth talent ourside of that one draft pick, sub par FA's and late round picks. Marv Levy went right to work on the OL, and when he left this year the regime behind him went right to work on the DL... this will make the Bills a better team. We need both Peters and Evans and we have the money for both so this should be a non issue
  5. The Pats are cheaters..... no one should ever forget how big of scum the Patriots are and their fans have become defending it and turing into obnoxious ass-wipes after years of losing football. Give New Englanders a couple of championships and they become more unbearable then NYC people
  6. March 8 traded RB Willis McGahee to Baltimore God that SOB broke my heart. I thought we got ourselves a player who would prove to the world he was shunned, and would forever be grateful to the Bills for believing in him. Being on the recieving end of the shaft sucks. FU WILLIS
  7. I agree, people here who throw around the #1 pick as fair compensation are impatient. there is absolutley no reason to even consider a 1str rd pick be involved in getting Turner.
  8. The Bills are not going ot offer a 1st rd pick straight up, nor is any other NFL team. The Chargers will be lucky to land a 2nd rd pick straight up, so why should the Bill overpay. The market is between Buffalo and Tenn and Tenn has no intention of offering a #1 pick.
  9. I'm slappy
  10. Heck I'm specualting everytime I hit the refresh button. I'm glued to the monitor in anticiaption.
  11. I hope Marv get the trade done and Turner signed, but it shouldn't cost us our 1st rd pick. Give them a 3rd this year and offer a conditional pick in 2008 that gives SD a 1st rd pick if Turner rushes for 1500yds + gets a probowl nod. A 2008 2nd rd pick for either a 1500 yd season or a probowl nod, and a 3rd in 2008 straight up if no conditions are met. We might have to sweeten up the guarenteed compensation some but it shouldn't cost us more then a 2nd this year IMO.
  12. cause no RB has been traded for a 1st rd pick in years + SD will lose him next year for nothing, and they will be stuck with a 2.5 million backup this year if they don't move him. regardless of what Turner may turn out to be worth, he hasn't had any 1000 yd seasons, he hasn't started an entire season, and he get 75% of his stats during garbage time or when the D is already back on his heels. yes Turner would be great in buffalo but why the hell poop out draft picks when nobody has to. SD will take less then a 1st rd pick and less then a 1st rd swap.
  13. With our significantly upgraded OL WR's will have more time to get open and gain seperation. i wouldn't object to a WR who could start at the #2 position immediately, but under n0 circumstances is it a higher priority then LB
  14. we traded away Spikes and Holcomb which freed up cash and we still had more then enough cash to sign draft picks beofre we made these moves.
  15. LMAO I think we will see these outlandish rumors every couple of new threads
  16. Patience = "In Marv We Trust" or let the man do his job and negotiate fair compensation for a career backup RB with potential. We just don't need to trade away our 1st rd pick for Turner IMO, and I'm confident that Marv has no intention of doing so.
  17. I agree completely There is absolulty no reason to offer up a 1st rd pick for Turner. A pair of 3rd or a 2nd rd tops would be more then enough. Hell Mcgahee a proven starting NFL RB with multiple 1000 yd seasons netted us 2 3rd picks. Don't see how Turner, a career NFL backup, running behind a all pro OL, an Offense that usually has D's on their heals, and has LT as a starting RB softening up D's for him could be worth more. Show some patience. This deal will get done for much less then a 1st rd pick. Let alone a pick this year and a 1st in 2008.
  18. LMAO Peters is going to go down as one of the greatest undrafted OL in history, not to mention he is is well on his way to being considerd a Stud LT. Hell Peters was an undrafted TE to boot, and in a few short years he has become a very solid starting NFL LT, the Bills O improved the moment he switched to LT. calling Peters a backup was some good comedy.
  19. this board has always been a mess. Too many people with strong opinions and an intollerance for anyone who views things differently. heck when the Gulf War started this board had more right wing conservative nut jobs posting pro-war, pro-Bush BS then football crap. Today we get to look back and realize just how rediculously retarded those meatheads where, and probably still are.
  20. Takeo and a 4th won't get you Briggs. It'll take Takeo and a swap of 1st rd picks minimum to even be considered a player for Briggs. As for Lynch, I think at #12 we take the very best D man at DT or LB. If Marv wants Lynch he'll try to move back into rd #1 with a trade
  21. he'll embarass the Ravens eventually guarentee it. It in his character and he won't be able to help it.
  22. it kills me. Willis has been nothing but a POS the last couple of years with barely a few flashes of greatness. He's opened his mouth and made retarded comments, he is a low character type of person. Why aren't these media outlets painting the real picture of Willis McGahee, how does all the negative crap he has created get swept under a rug.
  23. Did anyone watch McGahee while he was a Bill ? The man has 0 heart, didn't know the playbook, refuses to come to offseason workouts, fathered 3 illegitimate children, suggested the Bills move to Toronto, never dictates an NFL game, can't block well, and misses blitz pickups regularly. Willis' action speak loud and clear McGahee just doesn't have the heart to be a probowl RB, nor the desire to be a Bill.
  24. The Bills will be draftng earlier then 11 or 12. I think we'll be in the top 8. We're that bad. In fact I'm really thinking top 5.
  25. I hate being a conspiracy theorist, but between ESPN's shunning of anything Buffalo, and som eof the frustration being echoed via ref calls, and then all of the Ralph Wilson crusading for revenue sharing and sticking up for small markets I can't help but wonder is there is a bit of this going on. The only obvious thing I saw by the refs was the obvious 3/4 of yd they added to the spot of the ball that assured NE a 1st down. I wasn't watching for holding on the OL, but the gae is Tivo'd so I might go back and take a look.
