I really disagree here. Hagan is stepping up big time. Nelson was rock solid last year in his 2nd year. We already have Johnson Jones is a ? but his injury and lack of experience worked against him. If Jones plays better and more consistent then last year then our WR situation will be just fine. Graham appears to be ahead of the curve from what most anyone expected this early. What I don't like is the thought that a older FA WR vet is the answer.. Better to develop your own and that is what this team is doing, and I think it is and will pay dividends. I am not worried about the WR position. What we need is better OT depth if Pears is going to be dealing with a chronic situation all season

Spiller the Thriller ! Yeah him being used sparingly and being allowed to develop behind Jackson will extend his career, and possibly be the catalyst that makes his career. Happy B-Day CJ

Buffalo Bills Training Camp Report: 8/4/2012
ddaryl replied to Mike32282's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mike has the best reports IMO.. I appreciate everyones reports, but I just enjoy the way Mike breaks down each play quickly and efficiently and throws in some brief to the point observations to boot. Yeah it's me Mike -
Concerns rasied about Buffalo's receiving corps
ddaryl replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
WHAT ?? Graham has looked real good in camp.. Better the advertised. He has a nice set of hands... We don't have a WR problem. Hagan is looking sharp. Nelson was solid last year and will be again. Jones is having a solid camp. We already have Johnson. the only question we have left is who grabs the 6th spot. All the camp reports I've read I have not heard much to be concerned about outside a few off days, but practicing hard in heat day after day is bound to beat down anybody, and everyone in camp has a bad day or 2 If we lose our #1 WR and our #2 WR production wise yeah this team will suffer. But name one pro team that couldd lose there top 2 WR's and not suffer... -
None of the people commenting negatively have read the numerous reports from different sports journalist that are gushing about the Bills DL. but they are right to be skeptical, were Buffalo and we have to re-earn the leagues respect

Is there room for Roosevelt?
ddaryl replied to Logical Reasoning's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Johnson, Easley, Graham, Nelson, Jones, Hagan are my locks at this point Do we keep a 7th WR ? it would have to be Roosevelt... LOL, anyone else see it any different ? -
Kelsay is the type of player who does little things well. he is not a speed demon edge rusher but he can set an edge. He will benefit the most from our revamped DL.. We also won't have to depend upon him as we have multiple players who can step in. He will be used primarily on run downs.

I would like the Bills to be ahead of the curve for a change
ddaryl replied to Toshiero's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills OL and DL are HUGE. So size is there. the 4 WR setup is fine, especially if you have 4 and 5 WR's who can be effective, and the Bills are demonstrating this in camp. Spreading thee field and having some success throwing the ball softens the interior for the RB's We have a 2 headed monster at RB and Chan has said there will be more emphasis on running the football. Why would you want to scrap 2 previous years of implementation and revamp it? We saw what the O can do when healthy last year, and it was fantastic to watch... Depth issues, experience and injuries derailed us. last year we had no off-season and the playbook was smaller because of that, and getting the young WR's OTA work was non existent and that hurt... I am very excited for our O given the the fact that we have multiple WR's doing real well in camp, and the fact that Fitz is having a real good camp and looks more accurate hitting WR's in stride down field more often -
Bills Fitzpatrick has earned trust, respect of teammates
ddaryl replied to GoBills!'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ok but a couple of years back Eli Manning led the league in INT's.... Just saying. Fitz will improve this year for 2 reasons. a.) The team around him has improved, and the youth on the O has gained a lot of experience b.) Fitz is workings hard to improve his own short comings. I can easily see Fitz throwing 5 more TD's and 5 less INT's this year... I expect even better then that -
unfortunate.. But a bad back like that is very tough thing to play football with. 2 fused discs can't be good for a DL

the Patriots are on the downward slope.. and we will get to see all the so called die hard Pat's fans slowly distance themselves from the sinking ship

Is Vince Young a wacko or just a player that needs coaching?
ddaryl replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Me too.. I hope he does come around... I'm just not expecting much from him.. If anything a year or 2 in the Bills system might get him to the point where he can be dominant. -

my take is he is mentally weak, and physically gifted physical gifts can only take you so far. Coaching might help, but so far it doesn't' look like VY has the mental power to become a great QB -
Michael Floyd called out by Larry Fitzgerald
ddaryl replied to OldTimer1960's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LMFAO IMO it is obvious that Gilmore is the better all world talent, and IMO Floyd will go on to be an average WR. Are you trying to tell people here that we should of drafted Floyd over Gilmore.... -
Any interest in Josh Gordon in Supplemental Draft
ddaryl replied to Smiley Dear's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I doubt Nix would waste a 2nd rd pick for a guy who's best chance will be a year on the practice squad -
Anyone else have the feeling .....

I get excited every new offseason. Never going to let that change no matter what. -
Jason Peters -- First Team All-Pro
ddaryl replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Peters was offered big money Peters took the exact same money to go to Philly. I don't miss him. -
injuries don't help Fitz is still in the top 1/2 of QB's in this league.. That means 16 other teams have QB's that are not as good as Fitz. He is 12 in Yards and TD's, he is one of the least sacked QB's in the league. 9th in completion %, His negatives He is 18 in rating, and yards per game, and 24th in yards per attempt. However if the Bills are going to move forward Fitz is the short term need.. I doubt we will be drafting Luck or RG3, and Barkley is out so the rest of the QB's are all going to need some grooming time, and IMO Fitz is a good option for that.
-
of course he is not, that is why the Bills didn't pay him like an elite QB. He is a slightly better then average QB that we have until we are in a position to bring in and groom a real future prospect

ddaryl replied to EldaBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives

Mallet 5.4 in the 40 does it matter?
ddaryl replied to ....lybob's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
it matters when a 350lb DT is gaining on you -
What would upset you more?
ddaryl replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
any QB @ 3# will have me thinking we just set ourselves back another 5 years -
Strouds best days are well behind him also I doubt the Patsies are paying him what the Bills would have been paying him this season
