Could the Bills be looking at Denver?
ddaryl replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ok we are/were 40 million over the salary cap, we need more cost controlled players on entry level deals, not FAs which will cost much more. We do not need anymore void year deals either. We have no real need for #3 #4 or #5 WRs on this team. We need a player capable of being a #1b to Diggs #1a and that player in FA will cost closer to $20 million. So now since you so gleefully assumed I am Doug Whaley, you explain how we can do that and fix our cap situation, fill all our holes, without adding more trouble in 2025 - 2026 and have a bonafide replacement when Diggs is no longer with us. No we are not looking at FA for much of anything this year. Its a reset year and there will be some pain. -
Could the Bills be looking at Denver?

NO . The only FA WRs we would be interested in are #4 or #5 WR, and I don't even think we are looking for those types, maybe a late FA WR to have as a camp body We need a Diggs future replacement, and we can't even afford to think about that level of FA WR do to cap concerns. not even sure what your point is here -

the chances of the Bills trading for a WR are slim to none. And Slim just left town Equal chances of the Bills pursuing FA WR's. -
yeah we can take that one a little further. Just keep searching the intranets till you find a pundit saying what you wanted to hear.

The best we will do is low budget round out the roster FA pick ups. There will be no splash or wow signings. We need to get younger and we need cost controls to be ready for Allen's 2nd half of a career run.

What FA Signings Have Directly Lead to SB Wins?
ddaryl replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would say the % of top FAs that did make a difference to their new team in regards to playoff and SB outcomes is smaller than the the amount of FAs that didn't have a major impact. But thats me just spit balling... I really have no data to back that theory up. The best most successful teams always do the bulk of their work in the draft IMO. -
... you don't spit in the wind...

Dawkins was bull rushed right into Allen. He came into camp clearly not in shape and then we see plays like this one when the season is on the line. Dawkins is one of our better OL, but we need to be better that this is we actually want to win it all. https://www.nfl.com/videos/chris-jones-pushes-dion-dawkins-into-lap-of-josh-allen-forcing-errant-throw-on-bills-final-drive-in-2023-divisional-round

Wegmans just put out more of the Josh Allen bags
ddaryl replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Then I have to call out Beane because he should have McDermott for the photo shoot if that was the message. -
Are we looking at it all wrong, esp. With Josh Allen?
ddaryl replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I bitched when Kelly through an untimely INT or when we couldn't get something going. BUT in no way do I look back at that era and say to myself " I should of enjoyed it more". In fact its quite the opposite. Same for Josh. I bitched when he plays hero ball and throws an INT, or when he refuses to take the underneath stuff that is clearly there, but I also know Josh is the best QB to ever put on a BIlls uniform and none of that is lost on me. Hopever without a SB win its just another Buffalo Blown opportunity, and that is something I will continue to bit ch about. Even if we do get to the SB and win it, if we look like chit anytime after that I'm still gonna b it ch, because the only goal is to win championships. I AIN'T MISSING CHIT, I'm emotionally smack dab in the middle of it -
How often top UFA WRs get open vs single man coverage

I always found it funny that the sister could transform into any animal form, but the brother could only change into different forms of water. -
there were 2 X-Flares on our Sun over the last 24 hours.... That might have something to do with it https://www.spaceweatherlive.com/en/news/view/522/20240222-two-x-class-solar-flares-only-7-hours-apart.html For those who have never heard about it look into the Carrington Event. Massive solar storm that took out telegraphs and had an Aurora that was visible in the tropics. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrington_Event Now imagine what that would do to our Society today when that happens again

Salary cap question, Leonard Floyd’s dead cap
ddaryl replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
rip the bandaid off, I agree. Salary Cap Gymnastics can work for a couple of years but at some point you have to reset -
SWEEP! Nothing more satisfying after cartoons went off the air on Saturday afternoon, during the winter, than dialing up a curling match

What happened to Cam wasn't because he was running to much. He actually hurt his shoulder trying to make a tackle after throwing an INT Josh could get injured and fall off a cliff, its possible, but he has also proven to be quite durable. I view Josh as a QB who play well into his 30s, but no there is never a guarentee in football.

We haven't made a single appearance and Allen has been playing at the top of the game I'll let the rest of the Bills fans here deal with "LOWER YOUR EXPECTATIONS" comment.

LMAO, how many SBs have we lost since McD has been here. Zero cause we can;t even make a SB. We are being outcoached by a coach who has a lot more experience and has been through it all already. Also Beane and McD have focused more on the D side of things to much and it cost us opportunities where the focus should of been a little heavier on offensive weapons I never said fire McD I gave a reason for our ineptitude and thats the reason we haven't made a SB with Allen yet. Also who the ***** care about mis-spellings

Same reason we beat KC in the regular season but can not beat them in the post season. We do not have the coach / GM with the vision needed and are learning as they go. Unlike Reid who has decades as an NFL coach and plenty of experience to pull from and a GM who knew what he had with Mahommes and made sure he had to tools around him
-
There is no reason to believe we only have a 3-5 year window with Josh. I see no reason why Josh can not continue to play at a high enough level till he's 40 years old barring major injury(s). He's proven to be durable, as well as a damn QB who continues to break records.

So Kyle is basically the O version of Sean

offseason starts the moment the Bills have no more games to play. In other words 3 weeks ago
-
the biggest reason is not supproting Josh Allen with better O players and following McDermott's D rotations that focused more resources on that side. Throw in McDs coaching blunders to boot.

offseason starts the moment the Bills have no game on their schedule. Couldn't tell you who won the SB till this morning when I came to check on any Bills info
