anybody not on board drafting QB at 10 is a *****
ddaryl replied to 17 Josh Allen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sign Me up I'm an Idiot Just don't see value at 10.. trade down scenarios would allow us to roll the dice on one of these QB's early but at 10 I would take BPA and that won't be a QB -
Whaley has done one heck of a job, except QB
ddaryl replied to BuffaloBud420's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whaleys issue is he worked under Nix then when he became his own GM the Pegulas over rode him on HC with Rex and he ended up getting players Rex needed and or wanted to make his scheme work. With a new HC a new Scheme you have ot let a few players walk like Gilmore who just would not return $14 mil in value IMO At this point The only real concern is QB, but thats a position that much of the league struggles with, and its the position that will either make or break Whaley in the short term from here. Bottom line it will come down to Coaching and QB play. Did we hire the right coach this time... Will TT improve just a little bit more while coaching improves the rest of the team around him. If so we will be in fine shape IMHO. But if coaching starts to show holes with the team struggling around TT and TT not improving at all well then another year of no meaningful football by Novembers end Our roster is good enough to have great solid coaching tilt it to a playoff team. -
Any way you slice it Kaepernick represents good value

Love his politics and his willingness to actually take a stand.. love the fact he takes a knee why this country circles the drain. Takes balls to do that and deal with the ridicule. So much easier to stand up and just go along as not to offend anyone... Got to love the faux patriotism most pretend to display he sucks as a QB though -
One word responses for last years draft.
ddaryl replied to spillerhighlife's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1.) didn't watch or follow draft last year 2.) didn't form an opinion because I'm tired of this crap.. I'll get excited when we honestly have something to be excited about. That won't happen until we are in the playoffs and then I will only be expecting a SB victory and anything short of that is more failure -
Calm down, breathe, we are fine.

I honestly can't tell you one way or another how we will be . I don't think our roster will be any weaker than last year after FA and the Draft.. McDermott is the key... and for that i will just wait and see -
Rex was a horrible coach, absolutely terrible... I really don't know what to expect form the bills this season. All outcomes have a possibility. McDermott and his systems / game planning will be the determining factor and nobody can guess that right now. Talent wise I see us being no worse than last year after the draft / FA...

So far Bills Secondary appears to be weaker for 2017
ddaryl replied to gjv001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah both Sabres and Bills fans.. but when you've been this inept for so long there isn't much left to agree upon. We made the right moves for salary cap reasons. Williams for sure was done, and this team could not afford to tie up $15m in a better than average CB when we will most likely get one of the top CB's in this draft as a replacement. Now we move that money over into multiple holes.... -
NFL abuse of painkillers described in court filings

This might be a straw that really begins to change that -
I would say more than half the league is employing average at best QB and another 1/4 of the league is employing below average... Just not that many QB's that rise above the average line in this league, so if you have one you hold on till you find one better... Some Bills fans always seem to think ditching the average guy always results in a better option. How about keep the average guy and continue looking for improvements this time https://www.profootballfocus.com/pro-ranking-all-32-nfl-qb-situations/

There were no other options worth pursuing that would of been much if any improvement over TT. We still need to draft a QB and keep doing so, but TT is a good QB to keep while looking to find a better option. I just don't see any FA qb or rookie drafted QB playing any better than TT.. However they most likely still draft one and that QB will get a chance ot show if he ready short term or will need grooming via training camp

official Buffalo Bills message board shut down
ddaryl replied to Bills_Chick's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the official forums were the worst of them all.. But all bills forums are chocked full of conspirators and constant negativity. I don't post much or read as much now cause I got tired of it. I left the official forum a few years ago.. Just to much negativity to even want to participate regardless of reality I don't want to wallow in it. Does not surprise me in the least that they shut it down.. it was more of an embarrassment to the organization more so than the organization is embarrassment to itself.. that's how bad that forum was -
Should the Bills cut Kyle Williams to clear cap space?
ddaryl replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would see if he would restructure into a 2 year deal if he thinks he wants to play 2 more... At a friendly cap hit he could be solid depth and mentoring material as well as still capable of starting -
don't even know who is playing .. stopped caring once the bills were out of the picture Dinner and a movie for me..

Keep TT draft a QB this romo non sense is funny
-
He has no value whats so ever.. He is glass and has no consistency
-
Absolutely nothing stupid about the retort. Your gonna rag on the Browns when the Bills are the team with the longest non playoff streak in the league LMAO can't believe you actually ragged on the Browns given our pathetic situation

Wanna dump Tyrod, then who's the new QB

really you thought that reply was "internet tough guy" speak You haven't seen anything yet then.. That was mild and quite well written with nothing tough guy about it -
!@#$ing AMEN to that brother... as long as he throws 5 TD's

Rivers not interested in LA - nevermind he is
ddaryl replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A LOT BETTER IN PASSING.. Think of how a #9 offense can be so much better with an actual passing attack to compliment it run game. Age means nothing because TT won't be here in 2 or 3 years and neither will Rivers .. TT is not going to get that much better and Rivers is still capable of passing for 4000 yds and 30 TD'd This fantasy that we keep TT and we don't need a replacement QB in the short term is ludicrous. TT's value is less than Rivers IMO mostly because of his inabil;ity to be a passing QB.. Rivers knows passing and any QB we draft and Cardale will need a passing mentor not a scramble mentor -

ddaryl replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
exactly stop gap short term QB who would be a better mentor for a young drafted QB and Cardale and we all know TT is not clutch anyways I would prefer a passing QB to mentor our young QB's.. I also want to see a passing game, I am not a fan of TT's passing game and the running game is obviously not enough OK so San Diego had no running game and crappy defense yet Rivers still managed 4000 yds and 31 TD's why didn't teams just tee off on Rivers in SD cause those numbers are still way better than TT's. The guy gets sacked alot but still puts up numbers.. Obviously Rivers can stand in there and still deliver a pass -

ddaryl replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
TT is not a long term answer here either.. He'll never get that much better IMO.. He is a good stop gap but not as good as Phillips Rivers for a 2-3 years as a stop gap and mentor QB > TT I'd definitley be more interested in Phillips knowing damn well we have ot keep drafting QB's till we find our own long term answer.. TT is never going to be our long term answer might as well look for a better throwing QB
