  1. I wish Mean Joe Greene, Lambert, Deacon, and Bruce could take a shot at him
  2. I think that was most people based on the preseason. the cause for concern was there. Kudos to Darby for learning and performing at a remarkable rate...It's awesome
  3. 8. I think Ronald Darby is one of the most pro-ready defensive players I’ve seen come into the NFL in years. He’s physical, he’s a clinging defender, and he’s really competitive. What a great pick by Buffalo GM Doug Whaley, nabbing Darby with the 50th pick last spring. How were seven corners picked before Darby?
  4. I hope he gets MRSA or it becomes gangrene and falls off... Eff him
  5. And then we will usher in the Garrappolo era; which will obviously torment us even worse...
  6. Everyone knows this and yet we never go after him....pressure and hits badly affect him
  7. Sage Rosenfels ‏@SageRosenfels18 30s31 seconds ago Don't sweat it Peyton. I was benched once which means it can happen to anybody.

  9. We can hope, but being Bills fans; Brady will be around for another decade...
  10. Mike Catalana ‏@MikeCatalana 2m2 minutes ago Pittsford, NY Best line i saw all day. Last time #Lions won at Lambeau against #Packers, Brett Farve was a player.... for the #Falcons
  11. Hold on I thought it was fire Whaley....
  12. I have him on the bench...picked Cousin's up...
  13. He jumped early to try to make the catch. TT didn't lead him enough...
  14. It really is this. Looking at it from the players perspective, they loved Schwartz. Didn't Kyle say he would chain him to his desk so he wouldn't leave? He used a system that played to everyone's strengths and they were very successful. Players take a lot of pride in being successful in what they do. For us, basically our whole DL made the probowl; which is a great feat and shows how good they really were. Now you clean house with the coaches and bring in Rex Ryan, after going through life with Dougie, this was a breathe of fresh air. While I am sure they all hated to lose Schwartz, they got Rex Ryan who is beloved by his former players and known to be a pretty darn good D coach. You listen to your coach pumping you up in the locker room and his interviews saying we will be the best D ever etc. As a player you buy in and work and grind, but you don't see success on the filed for many reasons. It is very natural to say, this is going the way it should, we all played damn good last year, Held the Top QBs to nothing and are getting shredded this year. Naturally you are going to push back and ask to be put in a position to succeed. These players yeas the make a $hit ton of money, but they want to win games... We have seen this time and time again, good coaches make adjustments to fit the system around their players and not force a system on the players. It is perfectly fine for Rex to have a vision and move forward each off-season to acquiring those players to reach it, but he is sacrificing this season as a result. There is a good chance that this rolls over into next season. It is a shame because we could easily have a much better record and be in a better position if we kept last year's scheme and added this offense to it. Rex and his staff talk about execution, that appears to be a result of what I mentioned above and that some these players do not have the talent/skill to execute his scheme. Is that on the players - maybe if they willfully hold back, but it really falls back to poor coaching that basically says it's my system and the scheme is fine... As he typically does; he was spot on...
  15. Playing CB is one of the most difficult positions in the NFL now with all of the rule changes. You breathe on the WR its PI...
  16. You need to draft Brady & Gronk every year. You should take Eddleman too...I don't like that guy
  17. But it's not getting better...wrong scheme for the wrong players - he is wasting our season. How does this work in the off-season? - We let half our our defensive starters go because they aren't the right type of players or his scheme? What does that do to our salary cap? Why waste all the $ money on Hughes and Dareus? Why are there execution issues? The players still at week 10 don't know the calls and how to line up in time - that is on the coaches; the players are thinking and not playing. Rex wasted this season and if he doesn't focus on designing plays for our strengths, he will waste the next couple seasons trying to dump our D players to find those who fit his scheme. It will be another 3 years before we get the right players and possibly clear all the dead cap $ from our books. Nothing wrong with keeping the Wide 9 and adding wrinkles here and there. Slowly introduce your concepts based on the team. Pettine turned around the crap Wanny D in no time. Schwartz fixed Pettine's run issues and the D was even better. Ryan pushing his family legacy on us has regressed this defense tremendously...
  18. Honestly has little to do with Schwartz and more about knowing what plays to call with the talent you have. Wide 9 is wide 9, 3-4 is 3-4 and 4-3 is 4-3. Your personnel was built with great pass rushing front four, you rush with them. You are not paying that line that $ to not do that... It is the same song and dance we have seen before throughout the league: 1.) Lack of alignment within the organization between the HC and GM. Why pay Darues that money to play a position that he isn't built for and aren't to his strengths, same with Hughes, same with Mario. 2.) System coaches who believe more in their system instead of looking at the talent they have and trying to decide how to best use it. This season and the way it should have been approached by Rex is to develop the offense with Roman. Figure out what you have in OL, WR, RB and QB. Find your gaps and draft to shore those areas up. Don't mess with the D, add some wrinkles here and there, but leave what worked and build off it based on the talent you have. If you are a system guy, as players come and go you can slowly transition to your system. The way we are doing it, asinine. We are wasting a year by trying to focus on a system and having to cut/trade good players in the off-season to fit this scheme and eat the cap hit. A problem with system coaches is that if they don't work out, you have to shed those system players once you can the coach. You should always look for a coach who can call plays and scheme based on the talents you have. While I liked the energy of the Rex hire and change of pace, what is happening now concerned me. I don't think he was the right hire. The right hire would have made changes in the bye week; he is too stubborn to do this. This will be his downfall here...bank it
  19. This goes back to the question...why transition?
