  1. John Wawrow ‏@john_wawrow 13s13 seconds ago Buffalo, NY The timing of Roman's firing is not curious when taking into account Lynn gets long weekend to prepare. ... 1/2 John Wawrow ‏@john_wawrow 12s13 seconds ago Buffalo, NY Otherwise, next opportunity for #Bills to make significant change would be bye week, which would be all too late. 2/2
  2. Unfortunately perception = reality... John Wawrow ‏@john_wawrow 3m3 minutes ago Buffalo, NY A lot of spin-doctoring this morning (and I'm not referring to the band), as everyone trying to get their version out on Roman firing. John Wawrow ‏@john_wawrow 1m1 minute ago Buffalo, NY No matter what version is true (and I think it's somewhere in the middle), it's not a good look for #Bills at all.
  3. Yup.. Mike Catalana ‏@MikeCatalana 7m7 minutes ago Just heard @AdamSchefter say Greg Roman took #Bills team picture Friday morning. Then right after was told he was being fired
  4. Spin is in full force and seeing that it is hard to know who really fact checks (jw does) and who doesn't (possibly many others) you have to take everything with a grain of salt. That being said, whether you are hopeful or not that things turn around with Roman and pull the trigger 2 games into the season isn't good. Rex had all offseason to see what the game plan for Balt was, the fact that he acted more as a DC and not an HC isn't really good. You would think that he would have had meetings with Roman to understand the game plan upfront; no?
  5. Sal Capaccio Verified account ‏@SalSports So, to conclude, this was essentially decision after 18 games not 2. There was hope things would be different. Became apparent they wouldn't
  6. Chris Trapasso ‏@ChrisTrapasso 27s27 seconds ago Easy to say I don't agree w/ Pegulas stepping in. But they're the owners & got input from players, who clearly didn't paint nice pic of GRo.
  7. That pic is   Sal speaks...Nothing to see here move along.... Sal Capaccio ‏@SalSports 2m2 minutes ago There was no "secret" meeting between Bills owners and players. Ownership has met with (and often talk with) players before, did Fri morning Sal Capaccio ‏@SalSports 2m2 minutes ago ...was not behind Rex's back and it was his decision to fire Roman. I'm told that decision came from (1/2)... Sal Capaccio ‏@SalSports 1m1 minute ago ...many meetings and discussions going back to last season between Rex and owners, essentially. (2/2). Sal Capaccio ‏@SalSports 51s51 seconds ago Rex, I'm told, felt things were to the point where they would not change with offense after hoping they would. Owners agreed and supported.
  8. Joe Banner ‏@JoeBanner13 2m2 minutes ago Joe Banner Retweeted Jason Cole If they decide at some point to change HC, this will not sit well with the people they interview Jason Cole Verified account ‏@JasonColeBR Assuming @RapSheet report is true about Pegulas talking to #Bills offensive players about Roman, it's not first time Pegulas have done that
  9. Look at Cleveland when they hired Pettine, he was like their 12th candidate... The problem is, is that the GM doesn't have the reporting authority to do it. Rex doesn't report into Whaley. Doug is castrated in this org structure
  10. It bodes poorly for everyone; I think everyone has to be on the hot seat and hoenstly the only way to fix it is to bring a strong football guy in either as GM or someone who will hire a damn good one. Stability on the football side of the organization's is a must have otherwise it will be more of the same...
  11. Mike Catalana ‏@MikeCatalana 3m3 minutes ago Mike Catalana Retweeted Ian Rapoport This is why I have believe Rex and Whaley have been on hot seat. "Continuity " not factor at One Bills Drive YardsPerPass.com ‏@YardsPerPass 3m3 minutes ago How I imagine this stuff going down... TP: Tyrod why did you play so bad? TT: The playcalls were bad TP: Oh ok, thanks
  12. Good article from Bucky yesterday http://buckyandsully.buffalonews.com/2016/09/18/why-whats-happening-at-one-bills-drive-seems-so-familiar/ "Clearly, they need help at the top from outside the organization. They aren’t sure where to turn because they don’t know where to begin. They can’t trust advice from inside the organization from people who are either trying to get promoted or protect their jobs. The chore is hiring someone to hire everyone else. Over the past five years, they have wasted tens of millions of dollars after making poor decisions on players, coaches and other personnel. In the early days with the Sabres, they figured money would solve most problems. It led to more bad decisions, players getting overpaid and more losing. The Bills are a dysfunctional franchise because they have under-qualified people in charge, The coach should be fired, but problems start at the top. It’s time for them to clean house." YardsPerPass.com ‏@YardsPerPass 4m4 minutes ago Owners hire football people and should let football people do their jobs. If they don't like how they are performing, fire football people
  13. YardsPerPass.com ‏@YardsPerPass 3m3 minutes ago YardsPerPass.com Retweeted Ian Rapoport Disaster, f'ing disaster What on God's green earth do Kim and Terry know about football? Terry is a hockey guy YardsPerPass.com ‏@YardsPerPass 2m2 minutes ago YardsPerPass.com Retweeted Ian Rapoport Not only that... future coaches see this **** and stay away
  14. Which is why they will have to clean the entire house and bring in a bigger football name as a GM, czar who hires a GM. No way anyone will step into this disaster...
  15. This is what I don't like about this structure, for all you know Whaley had zero to do with this or he knows his ass is on the line for trading for a WR we never throw to, signing an expensive TE who we throw 3 yard passes too, Shady's contract.... Gents, this is a whats that word...oh yeah...clusterfu&k
  16. I'm wondering if they have been talking to someone already. In the past Bill P. has said he has given them some advice... On a side note; I just got up (live in LA) and need some coffee, but I did notice last night before I went to bed the Ryan's were at the Clemson game laughing and smiling. Wonder if they have said F'it....
  17. Josh Reed ‏@4JoshReed 30m30 minutes ago Josh Reed Retweeted Ian Rapoport Owners write the checks and ultimately have the final say but do successful franchises have owners who do this?
  18. Ross Tucker ‏@RossTuckerNFL 41m41 minutes ago Ross Tucker Retweeted Ian Rapoport Awful sign for Rex obviously but not sure how I feel about this for Bills fans, either. Snyder-esque. Joe Banner ‏@JoeBanner13 40m40 minutes ago Joe Banner Retweeted Ian Rapoport This is pretty shocking. Don't see this often, if ever.
  19. Oh he criticized him, but that would have an entirely different tangent for this thread and one that well I just didn't feel like starting. In a nutshell it was about how little control as a position coach he has had over his RBs (Shady's fight, Karlos's weed and subsequent binge eating, Williams DUI). I noticed all of that down below his feed after I posted those original 2 tweets... BTW; I'm not advocating Timmy or his thoughts at all... and you are better off for not following him
  20. I know this is a rant for another thread, but do you know what astonishes me? People thinking EJ is an answer for anything. It's unreal.../rant
  21. Tyler Dunne ‏@TyDunne 19s20 seconds ago And that was a not-so-good throw by Buffalo Bills quarterback Chad Kelly. Carry on.
  22. Tyler Dunne ‏@TyDunne 2m2 minutes ago Another incredible throw by Buffalo Bills quarterback Chad Kelly.
  23. Symptom. Root Cause is the entire organizational instability... Lack of a GM with full authority and a vision they are empowered to execute. The better coaches we had are able to build a scheme around the talent, but were never able to execute well in all 3 phases at the same time. Part of that was poor personnel decisions, part of that is the turnover in coaches, part of that is the players we bring in. Someone else said it best in another thread; there is no cohesive vision and we are just playing fantasy football. Collecting talent but don't have a true blueprint for what we are trying to be. If we do it is very poorly communicated, and it is poorly executed as well. I do like Whaley but he either needs full control or has to be dumped for someone who has it (preferably someone with experience in a good organization who can duplicate some processes). We have had some real bozos for HCs, but I do think Chan could have succeeded if he was able to get a Schwartz/Pettine with the right players. I have a feeling they are trying to do this with Rex, but I'm not sure he is the right coach at this time for this.
  24. Some weird fascination with EJ; he isn't any good...at all....never will be....
  25. It obviously depends on the owner some are meddling, others aren't. You generally end up in a bad situation when you have both reporting to the owner; history is littered with these examples. For the Bills, they need a powerful and respected GM coming in, hiring his own coach and running the football side of the business. The other approach has been in place here and is part of the reason why we have issues...
