  1. I didn't feel like typing that much, but I am 10000% in agreement with what you wrote...You nailed it!
  2. I had the same thought. If we got this win, beat the Pat's we might have pulled it off...I hate must wins, but good teams beat the teams they are supposed to and can sneak a win against someone they shouldn't. I really think this game was a must win for us. If they lose this week, I will be amazed (happy and totally shocked) if we make the playoffs.
  3. Rivers is an amazing QB and the Chargers wasted him. He is a GREAT QB....
  4. Where my head is at right now (and it could be way out of reality right now) is that is TT's production translate to wins on the field, more so than a journeyman with more weapons if the cap space was spent elsewhere? For instance, if you were able to have Watkins and a great #2 would they make more plays and win you more games than our current WRs and TT?
  5. I'm not trolling; just an honest question that I am wrestling with myself. As our team currently stands, how many games do you think TT can win for us over the course of a season (not comebacks, just wins in general)? Over the next couple drafts and FA between trying fill weaknesses and replace players who leave/retire - can we add enough talent to overcome the inevitable 7-9 or 9-7 team we are or are you just maintaining it?
  6. He's not a true franchise QB, will most likely never be; so don't expect him to take charge like that...
  7. Once they are up 14-0, we are done. It will be Brady, Brady, Brady, etc. They don't have a great D, but who do we really have available they have to stop? A one-and-a-half legged Shady, Gillisee, Hunter, Powell, Tate, et. al?
  8. Who cares about the money? Pegs can drill another well.... I think the question becomes does TT make us a better team than a journeyman QB? It all comes down the the +/-'s. TT won't turn the ball over, but will not make very many plays other than an occasional deep bomb and slipping away from a sack while running for a decent gain. A journeyman will have more INTs, and take those sacks, but most likely will spread the ball around to all the WRs, TEs and RBs. In the end I think it is a push and we end up as 7-9 to 9-7 team either way...That is just where our offense talent is
  9. And with Sammy not at 100% after having a Jones fracture... I am still not sure why we even signed Clay....
  10. The D didn't stop playing, they were man-handled and gassed; especially the DL. Once the ball was snapped the 'phins OL was right at our LBs. Surprisingly we actually held the lead into the 4th.... We will still in it, but everyone knew TT was not going to bring us back. He isn't a QB that will elevate other around him and that is what you need when you have awful WRs...
  11. Nice post Dave! Yesterday, the issue was the run D was awful. PFF (IIRC) said that we had 10+ players who missed 16 tackles and our DBs led the team in tackles. Throughout the whole game the 'phins OL was getting to our LBs immediately. It is astounding that we held the lead as long as we did...This is where you need an offense that can bail the D out and have long drives; we are a one trick pony offense and our pony has a bum leg... In the past, TT has had weapons available and not been able to deliver; now whether that is to blame on Roman's play calling, WRs not knowing what to do, or on TT is up for debate, but it is in the past and is what it is. Yesterday, he had nothing. Mills was a rag doll that Wake had his way with and Suh, who is amazing when he wants to play, feasted on us. TT with no OL, no run game and awful WRs was not going to bring them back...s
  12. I'm sure we will find out when those calls go against us next week....
  13. Adam Benigni Retweeted Buffalo Bills PR ‏@BuffaloBillsPR 1m1 minute ago #Bills Aaron Williams left the game to take a precautionary MRI. He has rejoined the team and is flying back to Buffalo.
  14. Even O'leary on 3rd and short who was wide open in front of his damn face...
  15. and we got him for Kelvin Sheppard
  16. I'll eat crow here...I couldn't wait to see Rex go after the Roman thing and was pretty harsh on him....He has this team playing together as an actual team which we haven't seen in a long time... Rex gets the game ball...
  17. Jason La Canfora ‏@JasonLaCanfora 5m5 minutes ago Jim Schwartz, running this Eagles D, is going to be a hot head coaching candidate after this season. He'll be better 2nd time around, too 9 retweets 8 likes
  18. We had 2 timeouts (I'm surprised we had them too), Clay was an easier throw to make and had a potential for a TD.... There were quite a few actually....
  19. You are generous. I don't see us as a middle of the pack team unless this move with Roman pays off and Shaq and Marcell bring something to the table. Teams are on to TT and I am not sure if he will step up or not. I honestly don't think I would pay TT and I'd guess we are in the top 7; I would move up and grab the best QB available (if I necessary). He will have Sammy (yes pick up his option), Clay and spend TT's money on a good WR#2, resign Woods and O/DL depth...
  20. Cardale Jones... I hope we don't re-sign him so we don't have to have any more EJ threads....
