  1. All you had to do was highlight over the link.... Ralph would do this - the Pegs - meh they don't strike me that way....
  2. My point is this - we have been trying to emulate them since what 2000 when Donahoe came over - how's that been working out for us? Have we really done a good job of that? We even had LeBeau with Greggo and let LeBeau go back to Pittsburgh...sigh
  3. There is only a small bit in difference of talent on the actual football field...We have been modeling the Steelers since Donahoe came here in 2000 - are we going to finally model them right after 17 years?
  4. GJohnston any timeline on when you can share something? John Wawrow Unsure. Hurl ‏Cryptic!! The suspense is great though... John Wawrow ‏ Hey. I'd like, to find out something more definitive, too, you know.
  5. So Marv was HC and GM - right? The logical promotion is now VP/President of football ops...Just sayin'
  6. Hey part of the fun is the baseless speculation right now; don't take that away from me...
  7. This really seems like a new president or czar for us... Sure this will go over well; keep in mind this is the process; Whaley in charge (unless he no longer is) a new layer for Doug to report into, more seemingly instability and what now a GM search?
  8. John Wawrow ‏@john_wawrow 32m32 minutes ago Oh, boy. I'm sure this'll turn out well. John Wawrow ‏@john_wawrow 26m26 minutes ago Nothing to report. Yet. John Wawrow ‏@john_wawrow 23m23 minutes ago Keep in mind, how the Bills coaching hire has been outlined to me: Whaley is running the search. Pegulas have final approval. John Wawrow No one's been rejected as far as I know.
  9. I know that and he hasn't been there in 7 years. I just don't really understand the fascination we have with that organization ( I know, a rust belt city, has won some SBs, etc); why keep going back to that one organization when there are other teams you can hire people from. Everything they have is not the best and you end up limiting yourself...
  10. Why does everything have to be Pittsburgh related to the Bills? It is the Donahoe Curse...
  11. Lighten up Francis! I entirely agree with you last part and you are correct - we don't take enough shots and it is hard to identify who is going to make it or not.... EJ's weaknesses are not the kind you can coach up. This shouldn't even be a debate anymore honestly. When looking for our next QB, we have to remind ourselves that it is easy to fall in love with x QB prospect with the big arm or great leadership skills or what not; at the end of the day it comes down to Accuracy, Decision Making (Field vision, ability to go through progressions) and Poise (runs to quickly, panics, ability to move in the pocket). If you look at it far enough away TT has these same identical limitations... Daniel Jeremiah ‏@MoveTheSticks 10h 10 hours ago Constantly reminding myself when studying QBs-- accuracy, poise, decision making--then make sure he has enough arm, enough mobility.
  12. Didn't JP Losman plan to clean up downtown Buffalo and be our answer at QB too? I kid; I kid...
  13. We are so far from being a true contender; the sooner we start fresh in the FO and dump older players for picks and to clear cap space the better...
  14. Michael Silver ‏@MikeSilver 32s33 seconds ago I'm told Anthony Lynn made a very positive impression in his Rams interview
  15. Tim Graham ‏@ByTimGraham 41s42 seconds ago Tim Graham Sunday leaks are part of many teams' PR strategies these days. In some ways, glad I'm not on the beat anymore. But used to love the chase.
  16. I wasn't trying to go back from a hindsight perspective btw; just saying that it actually turned out to be spot on... Now from what we have seen of EJ, he could not have overcome his limitations with mentoring and developing. This is the same argument that X QB could solve his accuracy issues if we work on his mechanics and footwork... A "Quarterback Whisperer" isn't all of a sudden going to fix a project QB. Accuracy, Football IQ (good quick decision-making), ability to move in the pocket (and throw the ball), able to anticipate throws are what it all comes down to...EJ and TT neither have these traits. We did not ruin EJ, just like we didn't ruin Losman or Edwards. These are limited QBs who the league found a blueprint on and they were not talented enough to overcome their limitations - nothing wrong with that... Us fans get so enamored with QBs like this because the others we have had are even worse. We have no idea how to identify good quarterbacking and as fans hang on the hope that the cream of the crap will make everything better. That being said, TT could be really good on a team like Denver and help them. For us; honestly it is spinning the wheels...
