  1. Sal Capaccio ‏@SalSports 19s20 seconds ago If Sean McDermott is new Bills HC, and it appears things are headed that way at the moment, keep hearing Mike McCoy could join him as OC.
  2. Joe Chenelly ‏@jchenelly 40s41 seconds ago #Bills HC search apparently ends where it started, w/ #McDermott. He nailed interview, but real interest in Keith Butler had been expressed.
  3. Vic Carucci ‏@viccarucci 26s26 seconds ago #Bills are zeroed in on Sean McDermott as their next HC. Could have something finalized in the next day or so. Edit: Didn't say in this post, but great job Leroi! 5. Yeah I f'd it up...boss came in my office and I rushed Just wanted to try to capture this for those who didn't see it; not to call Leroi out...
  6. Leroi is selling this in the shout box right now... Said we are in Charlotte right now negotiating with him to be the HC and McCoy is OC. Whaley led the search, Monos sold it and everyone is in agreement... Also said we interviewed for 9 hours in MYC with McDermott and decision to move on from TT was made weeks ago. last he heard was Brees for a replacement, but that was months ago...
  7. To rebuild this team correctly - you bet your ass... TT is not taking us anywhere, we have older vets who are aging, a ton (23-24) of FAs and about $25 million under the cap if we keep him; not to mention Watkins is like the only WR we have under contract. Aaron Williams is retired, Corey Graham is getting way old, Kyle Williams may retire (even if he isn't he is 1 year older), Jerry Hughes is older, Ingocnito is older, Gilmore is gone and you have who Robey starting as a #2?. Where do you think this team is going anytime soon? Sneak in the playoffs and get bounced like Miami? That window is there for like 2 years max to get quickly bounced.
  8. I would be shocked if Garrett isn't 1. What I like about Barnett is that gets a lot of tackles for losses and can close to the QB quickly and he has been doing it for a few seasons. I think the ability to rush the passer and play on the outside opposite of Buckner could be really special, with Dorsey as the NT. I get the scheme concerns and holes out there surrounding him...Thomas and Allen are going to be really good players too.
  9. My feeling has been to not pick up the TT option, have $45 million is cap space - fill our holes in FA (keep Gilmore) and draft Hooker/Williams if they are available and move on up next year for the QB. Could give him ton of tools to work with...
  10. They may easily fall in love with Watson after this game and they sure as hell need a QB. I think they could easily one helluva D-line if they took Barnett and that is kinda hard to pass up if you don't like any of the QBs this year at #2. You have Kayaa and possibly Mahomes who you will be able to get in the coming rounds might work better for them. Josh Allen if he declares is intriguing as well and he will shake things up in round one a lot in terms of QBs...prototypical size... SF is hard to read seeing they have no GM or coach now and I have no idea where that team is headed; they also will presumably suck next year too and have a shot at those QBs as well...
  11. Cle is taking Garrett at 1 & I suspect Bye Felicia at the top of rd 2 SF is either Barnett or QB. My gut tells me Trubisky is Chi at #3 Not sure what NYJ do - RB, QB, WR?
  12. He was with Jim Johnson and cut his teeth under him; those were some good Defenses in Philly... I'm still disappointed we are looking at Toub.... We are now judging Watson based on the title game last night he is the clear cut #1 now; so yeah McDermott sucks because the Panthers D was awful this year....
  13. This is true! And WRs like Mike Williams can go up and get the ball and make adjustments for the catch. Completion percentage doesn't deal with ball placement issues and at times mis-fired passes. Both of which he has issues with.... My point is this - don't overreact to one or 2 games. Clemson had 99 plays last night on offense - his numbers should look gaudy and yeah he led them to a win - great job (I do mean that sincerely!). When you look at a QB to draft; you have to look at their entire body of work. To be successful in the NFL you need these top teir skills Accuracy & Ball Placement, Poise in the Pocket, decision making and then you can make sure you have enough arm strength and mobility in the pocket... A lot of the throws last night were very quick, short easy throws on the boundary; others were toss ups to Mike Williams. Once and NFL D takes those away his weaknesses will become more magnified and they will challenge him to be an NFL QB. He will become a limited QB...
  14. I haven't made it through this thread yet; but I can't wait to see how many people are clamoring to take him at 10 - classic over reaction to a game. He still has all of the same flaws he had before. Accuracy is a main one; that rarely gets fixed... Ding Ding!
  15. Bucky Brooks ‏@BuckyBrooks 2m2 minutes ago The 2017 QB evaluation will be interesting. Watson has played in more meaningful games vs elite competition. Will scouts grade on curve? I'm going to make the assumption this guy met #1 QB, because you are 100% correct on Garrett
  16. Bucky Brooks ‏@BuckyBrooks 1m1 minute ago Credit Watson for using all of his weapons. He drives a "Cadillac" offense, but he uses all of the accessories.Something to be said for that Heel Athletics ‏@HeelAthletics @BuckyBrooks Trubisky #1? Bucky Brooks ‏@BuckyBrooks 1m1 minute ago Bucky Brooks Retweeted Heel Athletics I don't know if it's a slam dunk, but there's plenty of buzz around him and his potential
  17. Josh Norris ‏@JoshNorris 2m2 minutes ago Even some of Deshaun's completions are inaccurate. One in first half to Renfrow stands out, too.
  18. Bucky Brooks Verified account ‏@BuckyBrooks Nice back-shoulder throw by Watson. Andre Reed ‏@Andre_Reed83 4m4 minutes ago @BuckyBrooks What do you see DeSaun Watsons pro potential upside is? Bucky Brooks ‏@BuckyBrooks 3m3 minutes ago Bucky Brooks Retweeted Andre Reed He's a really good player. I don't know if he can carry a pro team on his back, but he can win with a strong supporting cast.. Bucky Brooks ‏@BuckyBrooks 3m3 minutes ago Bucky Brooks Retweeted Andre Reed He normally plays well in big games, so I don't think the NFL will be too big for him. He just needs to go to the right team/scheme Sounds like TT no?
  19. The question that was asked was if TT is let go and Aaron retires and the tweet was Sal's response. I am assuming with all adjustments and credits (including TT, Dareus and A Williams) as he says it is about $45 million.
