  1. Actually SF likes Fournette: Greg Gabriel‏ @greggabe 5m5 minutes ago If your looking for who SF really wants, look no further than a certain Big RB from Bayou country
  2. I actually like this... I still want a high QB though...
  3. Ah found what I was looking for: Greg Gabriel‏ @greggabe 14h14 hours ago Talked to 2 GM's tonight. Got great info but won't pass it on until Wed nite or Thursday morning. Greg Gabriel‏ @greggabe 4h4 hours ago From my conversations last night, expect the unexpected in top 6 come Thursday night the next tweets were the ones I posted earlier
  4. Matt Miller updated his notebook: Some interesting takes: Buffalo Bills: The Bills' love for quarterbacks is real, per a scouting source with the team. I cannot see them trading up to land Mitchell Trubisky, but they could hold tight at 10 and draft Deshaun Watson. Other players linked to the team through the source were Marshon Lattimore, Reuben Foster and O.J. Howard. Cleveland Browns: Myles Garrett should be the No. 1 overall pick, but will he be? Based on sources in the Browns front office, I'm 99 percent sure he's the pick. The team is also making calls trying to trade back into the top 10 from their spot at No. 12 overall for Trubisky. 8. The story we're all watching this week is where the quarterbacks will go. One high-level executive I spoke with said he expects two will be drafted in the top 10 picks and a total of three in the top 15. But where? What makes the most sense to me is that the Browns get back into the top 10 to select Trubisky. Buffalo could then draft Deshaun Watson. That leaves Patrick Mahomes for the Cardinals. That gets us to two in the top 10 and three in the top 15. Of course, the Browns have to actually trade up, but that is very doable now that they own an extra second-rounder this year (from Tennessee) and two more next year (from Philadelphia and Houston). http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2705378-matt-millers-scouting-notebook-latest-draft-buzz-updated-big-board-more
  5. Ding ding...I think you are on to something Greg Gabriel‏ @greggabe 3m3 minutes ago Jax at 4 will also be making a bit of a surprise selection. Greg Gabriel‏ @greggabe 1m1 minute ago In Cleveland it's ownership that is pushing the Trubisky at 1 thing. The FB opps people want Garrett
  6. Okay so there are a few new tweets I'm going to put them all in order: Greg Gabriel‏ @greggabe 27s28 seconds ago Keep being told that some in the Cleveland FO want to use #1 on Trubisky. They feel SF will take him at 2. But SF IS NOT TAKING A QB AT 2! Eric Galko‏Verified account @OptimumScouting 17m17 minutes ago Eric Galko Retweeted Greg Gabriel Didn't you say this just a few days ago though? "Greg Gabriel‏ @greggabe 7:20 AM - 22 Apr 2017 SF supposedly wants Watson, if Cleveland is actually dumb enough to take Trubisky at 1 then QB's could go 1,2. Would throw 1st totally off" Greg Gabriel‏ @greggabe 12m12 minutes ago - found out different last night. And the guy they are taking will shock all Josh Norris‏Verified account @JoshNorris 8m8 minutes ago Butting in, but the latest names I've heard are Adams and Foster Greg Gabriel‏ @greggabe 7m7 minutes ago - neither assuming Cleveland selects Garrett Josh Norris‏Verified account @JoshNorris 8m8 minutes ago Interesting. Thanks Greg Greg Gabriel‏ @greggabe 59s59 seconds ago A GM told me last night that the difference between the #2 player and the #15 player is minimal as far as quality of talent. Greg Gabriel‏ @greggabe 2m2 minutes ago If clubs feel the level of talent is very close they will go with need
  7. http://deadspin.com/this-is-the-story-about-robert-krafts-casino-holdings-t-1794594130 As with all of its policies that aren’t collectively bargained, the NFL gives Goodell plenty of wiggle room on gambling connections. It concludes by stating that “apparent or alleged violations of this NFL Gambling Policy ... will continue to be decided by the Commissioner or his designee on a case-by-case basis.” That Goodell apparently gave and is still giving Kraft a pass to sit on the board of an outfit with ownership in multiple sportsbooks and casinos—all while sticking a hard-line public stance against legalized betting—astonished longtime observers of league business.

  9. Good job bandit; I don't love our pick, but I think he is the likely pick I've seen lots of chatter on twitter of him going to Dallas
  10. It's okay to fill holes on your team like this if you have a franchise qb. I know they don't grow on trees, but you will never get one if you don't draft them (and not late round impossibilities)... 2d round tender wasn't that much more money. Plus we have at least $40 in cap space next year... Look at this roster: http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/2018/
  11. I suppose a positive takeaway is that we didn't/don't have a QB who would have down anything with Gronk anyways...
  12. So, maybe, just here me out; we are getting ahead of the curve and looking for an RB who can throw the ball. Talk about revolutionizing the game a QB who can run and can't throw and a RB who can throw but doesn't run
  13. I almost long for the Modrak/Donahoe days; it is just maddening
  14. I agree, hard to pass on Howard though. A Gronk who could block could do wonders for our next QB...
  15. There are some on here upset regarding the player; I would say many more are upset about not using a 2nd round tender; since this kinda just creates another hole on a roster modeled after Swiss Cheese. This while knowing that we will have a good amount of cap space next year with aging vets, more FAs and we aren't really re-signing our own. What are we going to spend our money on? Overpay players of more Philly Brown/Vlad Ducasse players? Yes Woods was offered more than we should match, we were $2 million apart with Gilmore ( I would have paid him, since it is yet another hole to be filled with a draft pick), and a good RB2 was allowed to be poached just like Hogan was last year due to poor use of the tenders. Our draft last year was controlled by the coaches to fill holes; this year will be the same. It has been this way for years, when you draft to fill holes and not have a plan on building a roster you end up exactly where we are. Pegs should have had the balls to nuke the Bills like he did with the Sabres; by my count we have 3 more years until that happens here.
  16. TT is the best QB we have had in awhile, he isn't good enough and his deficiencies are too great to overcome IMO. This take is:
  17. So it is Dennison is magically going to be able to help TT get accurate, read a defense, stand in the pocket and not run, and be able to throw with anticipation? We should have hired him years ago....
  18. My displeasure is that for a 2nd round tender this wouldn't be an issue...
