One would assume this should facilitate taking out the rest of the trash. My guess is that Rusty stays, but is not involved in football ops. I would assume that Jimmy O will lose a bit of power and just is a capologist; as much as I hate some of the deals we give out; we do manage to not have a lot of dead money each year... IMO they should have done this at the end of the season and not now, but whatever...it's done

This is how you end up with JP. 4th best QB in a great class when you are unable to trade up high enough to get the good ones. There is no guarantee we will be able to move up and it will certainly cost more that ours and KCs 1st rounders.

Thanks man. It's just frustrating to see us take the same type of players year in and year out and expect something different.This method works for a team that already has a foundation and a core group in the big play positions, we are not that team. I used to think we were doing the right thing, but I was wrong...Here is to hopefully some signs of life this upcoming season

Not really; they topped out with where they can go as a team with Smith as their QB. They took a shot on his potential to grow and be that guy, if he works out that will put them over the top. Losing a 3rd rounder this year and a later first next year will barely impact their team. woof
