Source: Major Bills news coming next week

Sal Capaccio ?Verified account @SalSports 12m12 minutes ago More The reason why no one knows which player is injured is because the player asked teammates/organization not to say anything. They are respecting his wishes. I do not know who it is by the way. -
No Eruption or Stairway or Sultans of Swing or Crazy Train? Brian May or SRV? That being said Comfortably Numb and Gilmour are by far my favorite

I'll be first to ask: Would you fire Mike Tomlin?
Reed83HOF replied to Ennjay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not to be a homer, but you could include Marv in that comment as well, minus Torre's success of course... Steelers problems also stem from the lack of veteran leadership that used to be there... -
Everyone Talks Trade Up For QB, But What If....
Reed83HOF replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why would you trade up for an LB? No way. Only trade up for Pass Rushers, QBs and, ONLY, if you are a piece away from an SB do you go up for a DB or WR.... -
Seeing he is delicate as an expensive champagne glass that gets broken to pieces when it is looked at wrong, no way... This guy will get injured quicker than Kevin Kolb walking throw a car wash...

At the end of the day, if you swing and miss, you end up a middling team. If you don't take a chance, you are the same middling team we have been for the last 20+ years... This franchise will be even more laughable if they don't get a QB, since it continues to be ignored. Hoping to pull a 2nd stringer off of another team or a FA QB and expecting them to do much for you is foolhardy and has not worked out well frequently enough to subscribe to this approach.

At what point do we say Antonio Brown is the GOAT?
Reed83HOF replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The era's and rules make it difficult to compare then and now. Antonio is damn good right now, but the rules have changed so much to favor the offense. Rice still put up those numbers back then with players like Atwater, Lott (teammate I know, but making a point), LT et al. laying players out; hands down he is to GOAT. Even if his stats get taken over eventually with the same rules in place as are now, hard to say that player would be the GOAT. Moss took too many plays off, Tim Brown could have been even better if he didn't have trash QBs his entire career. I have to give Andre love and YAC is one of the most important WR stats when looking at great WRs. How can they make plays after they get the ball; him and Rice were 2 of the best ever.... -
What's the price to move up and get our guy?
Reed83HOF replied to ProcessTheTrust's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The route to a QB goes through Indy. CLE will def take a QB with Doresy and Wolf, NYG could end up with a BIG guy if Gentleman has one rated higher than the QB, but I suspect they will take Eli's successor. My assumption is that once the first 2 QBs go off the board, there will be a big push from the needy teams to move up to draft whomever is left between Darnold, Rosen and Allen (who scares me as a prospect - too many issues with a big arm).... We most likely stand the best chance to trade up since we can offer 2 1#s this year and the Colts could use a few first rounders to help fill our their crappy roster around Luck. Although I do love Vita, QB is more of a need and Star could help offset that loss... -
Fact of the matter is this is a 3 year rebuild, with year 1 being complete. I have no problem giving picks up this draft to grab a QB and we can have close to $55 million in cap space to add a few value-based replacements here and there. Next season we are projected to have what $92 million or something close to under the cap and can move a few more players for a few more picks to revitalize the roster more. Getting a QB this year is a no-brainer. Just because this year honestly scrub QBs advanced in the playoffs, does not indicate that is a trend to success... 14 out of the last 16 years are Brady, Ben, and Peyton. Barring an extremely large upset it will be 15 out of 17 after the game this weekend... The other 2 are Gannon and Flacco btw...
-
If you trust your scouting on the QBs and really believe in him, go and get him. Otherwise, you end up exactly where we have been since JK retired. Trying to build a team without a QB and middling along the way, hoping to get lucky. As of 201y, but still relevant: For the 14th time in 16 years, the starting quarterback for the AFC Super Bowl team will be Ben Roethlisberger, Peyton Manning or Tom Brady.

Why doesn't the NFL change Defensive PI to 15 yards?
Reed83HOF replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought the game can't end on a defensive penalty? They would get 15 yards plus a free play... -

Star and Vea - I would even move up to get Vea (and I really want a QB); but dude is a beast

No thanks on the retreads. Franchise QBs simply do not become FAs or are very rarely traded. History is littered with more Rob Johnsons & Matt Cassels than Favres and possibly Garappolos
