  1. Bucky Brooks‏Verified account @BuckyBrooks 2m2 minutes ago One more point on #Chiefs Peters.. Vet DB coach told me when he was coming out that you need a strong-willed coach to get the most out of a strong personality like Peters..."It takes a wolf to coach a wolf" #LARams W.Phillips has no problems w/those kinds of players.(See A.Talib) Ian Rapoport‏Verified account @RapSheet 25s26 seconds ago At one point, the #Chiefs were pushing to trade for DE Robert Quinn, along with a draft pick. But sounds like now it’ll be just draft picks going over to KC for Marcus Peters.
  2. Adam Schefter‏Verified account @AdamSchefter FollowingFollowing @AdamSchefter Chiefs are expected to trade CB Marcus Peters to the Los Angeles Rams, sources tell ESPN. Teams are in final stages of talks and barring an unexpected snag, the trade is expected to be agreed to as early as today.
  3. I wanted us to sign him last offseason and get rid of Tyrod then; I still do...
  4. I want him gone just as much as everyone else and he will be. The preference has to be to trade him and you might as well get a pick back in return. Most importantly, you cannot create this hole at QB without making a deal to move up to at least #2 prior to cutting him (that also has to presume you want Darnold or Rosen and don't care which on CLE takes if any). I started to put this together yesterday in another post and was discussing with Hapless. You telegraph your moves and will ultimately really drive your price to move up even higher; since it is now an even bigger glaring hole. TT is near the end of the line here...relax, step away from the bridge and lets at least get to the draft...doom and gloom can start if we don't get a QB in the draft & TT is still on the roster...chill my man
  5. Prescott was a 4th rounder Wentz played in a pro-style offence - under center, pistol, shotgun, etc - good accuracy, ball placement, good touch, play action etc. To me a QB who can run... Watson - I was not high on. His accuracy and ball placement issues scared me. I still feel that his WRs saved his ass a lot in college...Curious to see him more With QBs I like to see if: 1.) They actually can be "successful" after about a year of playing. You can make some plays and win some games. Can't get too high, too soon. 2.) In the second season, they are able to overcome what the defenses take away. Whether it is a new offensive scheme/new QB and there isn't a lot of tape - how do you perform when the league catches up. Can you adjust? 3.) By about the 3rd year you know...If the D forces you to be a QB, can you do it....If the D takes this away, can you do that...
  6. ^^ This. The league doesn't really love running QBs that much....
  7. Exactly what I was getting at; I couldn't recall if I saw it anywhere on here. I'm trying to collect my thoughts and rationales so please bear with me while I work through it. Feel free to call me an idiot and point out my terrible thoughts along the way TT is certainly gone, with the benching that was the end of his tenure here. There is no way he can stay on this roster and not be a starter, even with an open competition. Players like Hughes, Shady etc. will revolt (Vets who want to win) and could cause McD to lose the team to a degree and I suspect the player leadership council made that clear with TTs benching last year. I also think that the new offensive coaches have seen his limitations in a very winnable playoff game against Jax; final nail in his coffin IMO. That leads us to; I don't see us holding on to TT after the draft; since his trade value be diminished and most willing takers have resolved their situation at that point. What then, you cut him anyways and cost yourself an extra $6mil hit against the cap? If they are indeed moving on, they would want his cap space quickly enough to be able to sign others in FA, especially if we are targeting Star and hope to get OL help and a #2 & #3 CB. Tyrod almost has to be moved once the free agent QBs contract demands are common knowledge (they probably are already known and teams most likely know what we are looking for in return) since that will be his peak ROI for a trade. TT's contract is very favorable and you should be able to get a decent pick in return when compared between the FA QBs demands. If you can't get a good offer, and the decision to move on has already been made, you almost have cut him before his bonus is due. Once TT is gone (however that plays out), this will certainly be the telegraph to move up. The 2 options I see are: we either sit pat or if we go after Fitz, McCown etc.; an older vet who only has a year or 2 left in the tank or is clearly back up material or we go after a Cousins, McCarron, etc.. I honestly do not see us making a run at McCarron, Bridgewater, Bradford or even Keenum and pull a Glennon with the Bears. One thing I get from Beane is that he is concerned about getting the cap in order, which makes me wonder how he views another $6 million of dead cap on an aging and talent-limited roster like ours. If you go with the trade Glenn scenario (NYG badly need OL help) and the medicals and such, it just seems like this should be all buttoned up rather quickly to slide into #2, if that is indeed the move. A delay, just seems like it would give another team more time to work out trades to be able to move up. #2 guarantees you 1 of Rosen, Darnold, Allen or Mayfield. I would expect that Rosen & Darnold and near their top with Mayfeild and Allen further down. The second pick gives you one of your 2 top choices... I'm very curious to see how this all unfolds.
  8. With Mayfield, I worry he might be like Brees and take a few years to "git good". I do like his cockiness, we haven't had that kind of swagger since JK... I like Rosen, Darnold & Mayfield - in that order. I would be also ok with Allen, if we didn't move up too much and got him around 12. I just can't get on the Rudolph bandwagon, I have a bad feeling that he is very close to his ceiling... Like you I do worry a bit about his shoulder injury, but he is the best pure QB in the draft. I actually like his honesty; it's refreshing... There are too many threads to pay attention to and I feel like I missed this and I know you would have this info: With Tyrod his bonus is due on 3/16; so a move with him should be made by that date. Doesn't that just telegraph that we are moving up way too much too soon? I feel like at that point, you need to take care of him however and pull the trade up at like the same time. Just feels like you will get milked for even more at that point..Or am I off my rocker?
  9. I will run naked down the street in DTLA if we somehow end up with this kid...
  10. Allen may very well not bust, but needs a year or 3 behind and Eli, Ben, Brees and hopefully not Brady (If a team trades with the Cheats* and lets them get a QB, I will forever hate that team). His ceiling is incredibly high and the natural size and talent he is great, but he is a risky choice...
  11. Somebody wake Marv, Russ, Buddy, I mean Doug, McD, McB - whoever; the hell up
  12. Aside from Brees, the FA QBs suck; sorry, not sorry... The draft on the other hand - we better get our guy and not f&&k around
  13. The Bills do not move up to get QBs and it is a position that honestly has not been addressed with any success since the 1983 draft (35 years). If you need a QB (we do) and you have the opportunity go get him; period. There is no need to play Williams/Mularkey/Jauron/ ball with the draft and take what is given to you. You make your own success, success in today's NFL revolves around the QB; if you have one rated highly and you have that need, make your moves and secure the guy you believe in...Rudolph is not in the top 5 QBs in this draft
  14. Wonder if he will turn out better than Jimmy H? Christ almighty those ears
  15. So I'm not sure how I feel about Tyrod...Should he stay or should he go?
  16. Wentz will be out 9-11 months - I believe the point he was trying to make is that Foles is untouchable unless they get an offer that blows them out of the water.... The others - who knows
  17. I will take Rosen all day long, best QB in the draft as of now (not sure how Allen will develop or not) IMO... Relationships help trades. I would be surprised to see NYG go from 2 to 21 &22 - I would expect a trade up higher and then to #2
