In the event you are a member of the Pegs clan - we want a damn QB and we want to trade up to get him! Tell Brando McBean to get off his butt and make it happen

They are going out to dinner with him before his proday on March 14th Lots of Dolphins quarterback talk on a Tuesday: ▪ Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield might not even be available when Miami picks 11thin April’s draft. But this much we know: The Dolphins like Mayfield’s skill set and privately have spoken highly about how he came across in their interview with him at the Senior Bowl. The Dolphins weren’t sure what to expect when they met with Mayfield but came away impressed, according to a source with direct knowledge. That’s why the Dolphins plan to spend even more time with him at dinner on March 13 in Norman, Okla., as we reported last week — even though many expect Mayfield to be gone before No. 11. Whether they develop a similar affection for Wyoming’s Josh Allen or UCLA’s Josh Rosen remains to be seen. And whether it’s Mayfield or another quarterback, we believe there’s at least some willingness inside the Dolphins to genuinely consider a quarterback at 11, though they remain committed to Ryan Tannehill as their 2018 starter and though other positions remain more likely because of immediate need and the front office’s desire to win immediately. http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/barry-jackson/article202439014.html

This would astound, me. I think I would drop dead in amazement. Love his arm, but man the lack of accuracy

Rotoworld FootballVerified account @Rotoworld_FB 12m12 minutes ago Dolphins showing strong interest in Mayfield http://www.rotoworld.com/headlines/nfl/374054/Dolphins-showing-strong-interest-in-Mayfield Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield will meet with Dolphins officials for dinner next Tuesday in Norman (OK), then work out for the Fins privately after his Pro Day. The Dolphins' interest in Mayfield hasn't been a secret, and likely also isn't a smokescreen considering their penchant for organizational leaks in recent years. The Fins' intentions are all too often public knowledge. The Dolphins hold the No. 11 overall pick in the draft, and Mayfield probably stands a 50-50 chance or worse of lasting that long. Miami might have to trade up to land him.

Maybe they move him for Foles.... I think it is a smart move for the Saints, since Foles is cheap, under control and was a Superbowl MVP...He was dropping dimes on the Pats and beat Minny in the playoffs as well. Since Minny beat NO, this would be a huge upgrade from them and allow them to use the draft to fill their holes... -

Bills signings & TT trade point to trade up
Reed83HOF replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Brees is never ever coming to Buffalo unless he is on the other team. Also he will want to go where he can win another - that is NO or Minny imo... Foles is trash; honestly can we stop this non-sense. No one wanted him last year, we even passed on him last year - now he is the hottest commodity in the league? Must we remind ourselves that $hitty players can win MVP as well. He played well in the playoffs and was not great in the regular seasons. Coaching helped him a lot there...This would be a typical Billsy, grab a $hitty qb and plug him in type move while we will our own self-inflicted holes. If Luck is on the block; his shoulder is toast. He isn't old enough for the Colts to try to move away from...Ballard does not strike me as a moron and Reich really doesn't either. I'm pretty sure neither want to go through trying to replace Luck right now unless he is shoulder is shot... -

CB with an achilles tear and surgery on the other is gonna be a bit tough for him to keep playing at the level he was at; not to mention he is getting older -
Reasons why we shouldn’t trade off our draft picks.

Nah I didn't forget, aside from QB the next most important position is your Bruce Smith, LT, Reggie White, JJ, & Bosa type pass rushers who can change the game in an instant by foring a fumble, getting a huge sack or forcing an early or bad bass that can result in an INT. Those are the 2 highest impact positions that can win or lose you games and really disrupt the other other. Going back to 1990 most likely skews this data. Scouting and analytics has changed the game a lot, as well as the rule changes that now favor the offense and QBs as well as the rookie cap allows teams to take more risks and not cost them a ton of money - teams are now more willing than ever to move up and take a swing at a QB... -
