Agree with it is up to NYG. Barkley doesn't really fit gettleman's MO and you can find good RBs throughout the draft. They want Nelson and need an interior lineman badly. We need to give them a path to move back and get Nelson IMO... Successful QBs greatly diminish as you move down the draft. I don't want a good QB, I want a great one - the longer you wait the harder it gets. In the past, QBs would fall more because of the contract that you had to pay them, teams weren't as willing to take risks. It is different now. McD and the Pegs took the risk last year of bypassing the QBs and winded up with a CB and capital to go get one this year, we have the picks. You can't be overly passive, because you may lose out on what you want. Tom D was sent to the pasture because he didn't act quick enough to move up for Pig Ben. IMO #3 isn't high enough, but it gets you in a good position to swap with the Giants if necessary and have most of the blue chip prospects there (Nelson in their case)... Yes I liked being in the playoffs, but the outcome was expected and that team was never going to be good enough to do any damage. When you are going through a multi-year tear down/rebuild like us, you forgo short-term thinking and play the long... Just because the FO and Coaching staff is better than what we are used to so far - it doesn't matter if they can't address QB... I'm also pissed we let the Jets (the one team who could really screw us) actually screw us. Not to mention, I want them too continue to suck....

I would even throw in Shady, Hughes, or Tre White in if necessary. We passed on 2 QBs last year for him and we might miss out on the top ones this year again.... QB>>>CB

we have $100 million next year, you can buy everything but a QB....this is the way we have built our rosters since JP...it's a terrible idea. Let's keep doing the same thing over and over again

You need 12 and something higher than 22+ to package to move up into the top 2 IMO. I would think we have to get #22 moved up into the teens and then package both of those picks + some to move up.... Ballard said he will listen to move down from 6, which means if Beane wanted to he could have moved in front of the Jets - for some reason he chose not to. I have to believe he let that happen for a reason...
