  1. Not gonna be enough this year. The Giants only have like 6 picks, are switching defensive schemes, tight against the cap and trying to squeeze one last run with Eli. They needs picks and we would have shot ours going to 3. I agree...
  2. I honestly think that it came down to 3 wasn't high enough. There are 2 QBs we have rated highly and they didn't want to get stuck and not have their guy be there. One is Darnold, I believe the other is Rosen....
  3. I'm sure he didn't want to give all of the capital to the Colts and still not get their guy, esp if NYG are on the move...
  4. I think they will go all in for the QB. I can see his interview after the trade and pick is in "We felt really strongly about Josh Rosen and what he can bring to our team. It was not a tough decision to be able to give what the picks to move up and get him. He is a big upgrade for our team and we felt this was the best move for the Buffalo Bills." Ballard cannot say, "We gave the Bills a chance to match and they declined." Can't "out" your fellow GMs like that; you talk about the deal you made, not the one you could have made. Also, in the same interview, Ballard did say they would listen to offers and are willing to move from 6....
  5. So 3 1's and most likely a 2 and a 3. So that leaves us: 1.) Pick #4 to Pick#2 2.) Pick #2 3.) Pick #1
  6. Problem is whoever we draft, we will have gotten the guy we wanted all along! On a serious note, I agree with what you said. However, unless it is a trade up in front of the Jets, there will always be second guessing if the guy was really the "premier guy" or not.
  7. This doesn't help at all - it actually makes it way worse. Just consummate the f-in trade... In all honestly his comments (haven't watched it yet, just based on the tweets and such) makes me feel like it is either gonna get announced as a 3 way trade or we are going to have to wait until draft day....
  8. Greg Gabriel‏ @greggabe 16m16 minutes ago More Saw where someone put out a clubs so-called top 15. Please don’t believe. Teams have not done final boards. What they have done is preliminary by position not best- to-worst. Scouts aren’t about to give their clubs “real board” out. Many don’t know it
  9. Tom Withers‏Verified account @twithersAP 30m30 minutes ago More #Browns GM John Dorsey acknowledged meeting with #Giants GM Dave Gettleman this morning in Orlando. Dorsey also confirmed #Jets inquired about No. 1 pick, but "it wasn’t what we were looking for.”
  10. That simply means we can draft him at a higher position....Also means the Eagles will be more likely to give us Foles
  11. I want to go see infinity wars and it is most likely already sold out. I figured I would wait to see the movie so I can see us draft at spot 2, but sadly it seems like I should be going to the movies instead. This is shaping up to be an aids level draft....
  12. Jesus christ - no QB and a first round CB Make sure BillfromNYC does not see this post I need to learn some restraint when clicking on threads...
  13. That is why I chose Rookie QB - I'm holding out hope... These are also the posters who want to stay put and draft an LB as high as we possibly can; so there's that...
  14. Yup. Especially this year with a lot of QB prospects- last season was the season to have a bad year. JMO, but the biggest issue was holding on the a FO that you knew you were going to dump through the end of the draft. That neutered any long-term planning the team should have had, which then led the overall organization down the path of our HC, which is very focused on the short-term (kick the QB can to this year, and delay dumping players & overall salary cap management). It basically set us back one year as far as the long-term goes since last year for all intents and purposes was a wash, especially at the most important position on the field! The most damning of it is that next year's crop looks to suck and if we actually keep these picks and do somewhat well with them, we will be picking in the mid 20s again, with no extra 1, 2 or 3 to use as ammo to trade up for a prospect. Then we are looking at what 2020 and still no QB? Honestly, if they fail to move in position to grab a top QB prospect this year, the clock is ticking on this regime; unless they get lucky with a not top prospect gem (extremely unlikely and not what your plan should be). Now, unfortunately, we will have to be off to the Land of Booger Trees and start all over again...not good at all...
  15. You have no shot at blue chip talent and trying to be in a position to get a shot at the top QBs is really a pipe dream. Biggest problem over the last 20 years was not bottoming out...
  16. I'm wondering what team put this out there and what their trying to ultimately accomplish by putting this out there...
