Not finding my identity in football. Just trying to find it in who I really am. I love this game and put everything I have into this game, but can’t let it define me”

  7. Ideally if Allen busts (hope not), we should have a good young foundation of a team for another rookie QB to rely on.
  8. The pick could also be part of a package to jump back up into the first/second or even packaged to move up in the first. Just because he is traded for a 2,3,4,5 does not mean that pick will simply stay there - see Allen & Edmunds this past draft.
  9. This team cannot afford to dump another HC or GM this quickly. Marrone, Rex, Whaley, the Polian stuff; in addition to the atrocious Sabres moves, the Pegulas are stuck with these guys for at least next season unless next season is an utter disaster.
  10. I want to win the super bowl, will that happen this year? Nope... It would be nice to be able to be in the position to win one every year or at least be a serious playoff contender - we haven't been that team in 18 years.
  11. So how do we make sure you follow through with this? As you know on TBD we like proof and can't take anyone's word for it...
  12. You're not Mr. Purple. Some guy on some other job is Mr. Purple! You're Mr. Pink!
  13. In a heart beat if I thought I had a chance to repeat....would you give a 2nd rounder for a SB?
  14. I don't want to derail this thread, but was just saying if things look bleak (which they should) come the trade deadline, that is where you look to sell - Hughes was simply an example of an aging player that we might be able to get some value out of it. Whether we should or not is another thread...
  15. You are correct, the Eagles don't have the luxury of waiting. When you get to the deadline that is where you look at Hughes and everyone else IMO.

  17. 3 or 4 is not enough when you look at what he does provide right now for the overall team. I think it has to be a 2nd for us to even consider it and more than likely the eagles won't have a high pick to end the year, so you are looking mid round or later.
  18. I wanted the other Josh, but that ship has long since sailed. Allen is who we have, I am not sure I see any bias in this article at all - it is pretty even keel and highlights the areas he needs to develop in. It also shows that he is also part of the offenses problem, which should be surprising to anyone seeing he is pretty close to the same QB 9 months ago in Wyoming as he is now.
  19. I will pile on and say that the FO failed to help this kid. We did have some money to spend this year and we dumped it into the defense. Let's face everyone knew we were going after a QB and we did absolutely nothing to to improve that side of the ball. Going in with Peterman was an awful idea and once AJ was traded we should have signed a vet. Richie had his breakdown and retired, Wood had to call it a career and we didn't attempt to address any holes there. While I like the aggressiveness to address the QB position and LB position - the way the FO constructed this team for this season concerns me. A LOT.
  20. I thought I had another post in here, but I might have moved on before submitting, basically saying that this could be something or nothing. Just wanted to get this out there for people to see...
