  5. Oh I agree. I also think he is calling a very simplified offense for Allen, half-field reads, RPOs and such along with very basic routes. He has to be mitigating Allen's limited pocket movement and his inability/lack of speed to read a defense.
  6. With Allen's developmental issues, the offense has to be simplified for half-field reads and I would assume elementary play calls. If he is not moving around in the pocket well and having trouble making reads; the entire offense has to be dummed down for him.

  8. Seeing we have the worst WR corp in the league, it is not surprising that we are having a tough time running. Also with 2 OL starters retiring in the offseason didn't help that much. Overall the last few weeks the OL has not looked terrible or even been our biggest concern. It's more about Josh's poor pocket awareness and inability to read a D & our terrible WRs
  9. It would have been ideal to start getting him in games little by little to get used to the speed, making reads and applying what he was learning while sitting. Not bringing in a true older vet to help him learn (The Jests got his right with McCown) until week 6 is par for the course with this franchise. I suppose the par for the course comment could also be applied to not actually bringing in someone who can actually develop a QB from a coaching standpoint as well. Further more, since we didn't actually do any of the above - you would think that the FO and Coaching staff might have tried to get some offensive players to you know help Nate & Josh (or AJ). I get that Defense is McD's specialty, but I knew going into this season the offense was going to be a train wreck. Why would you fail to do all of this when you drafted the one first round QB who is a major project. If we drafted the other Josh that would be one thing... I dunno if we need to wait 2 years, we should know next season IMO; provided we get "good" offensive players in the draft and in FA
  10. It looks to be a fairly weak FA class on the offensive side for all of our needs. Having the cap space is great, but I don't see many players being able to justify it.
  11. So.... https://nextgenstats.nfl.com/stats/passing/2018/6#average-time-to-throw Most time to throw in week 6:
  12. The merciful thing to do is send him to a team with a shot - this offense is woof
