  1. You are right in regards that there are nuances involved in it. Just because the numbers say go for it, you have to look at what's going on in the game and how the battles are playing out, especially on the line. In this game going for it on 4th and 2 and to go up 3 scores relieves a lot of pressure on the defense. If anything should be concerning it's that we could get 2 yards on 2nd down, 3rd down or 4th down, especially since we were moving the ball before then... Staley can be a bit reckless lol I was at camp, tre was in shape and to be honest looked great doing the drills and rehab he was working on, change of direction, splits, run stop pivot and turn and straight up sprinting. I do believe it is a confidence in it and the thought of not want to reinjure it. It can definitely be hard to get out of your head at times. With the way he was speaking in his interview a couple weeks back, this is very likely the case imo...
  2. What was the barstool speculation? I missed that one
  3. The lack of focus is evident on the diggs false start, I can't use Dawkins holding against the jets (it wasn't) but it is all the mental blips that happen. Cam Lewis going for a pick instead of swatting it down. The lack of focus shows when you can look at some film clips and see poorly timed, poor decision making and even the predictably of what we are running on offense as far as plays go. It feels like this even effects the offensive coaching staff.
  4. I heard that from Sal this am too. It certainly seems like it is a mental hurdle for him. I don't see Diggs as cancerous, I see him as a very, very passionate player. I don't think Edmunds or Oliver would dog it, but I could see Poyer betting on a big raise this offseason and trying to stay healthy and trying to show his worth to the team. I think OBJ would be enough to give everyone a big kick in the ass the right way at this point where we are this year
  5. Aside from coaching, I wonder if this falls under the category of players who could be playing but aren't based on pending UFA decisions and Tre being healthy enough to play but not... just trying to think of what else is out there
  6. Ffs, Adjustments get made to counter what we are doing and we stink and countering back quick enough, by the time we do, we have a few lost possessions in the second half (3 points, 3 points, 6 points) and with a defense that is injured right up the middle and our shell over top not being there....bad things man, bad things....
  7. This should be fun to see
  8. The Bills are very good at building a big lead quickly and making it hard for a majority of the teams to keep up. Keep us in a tight game all it takes is 2 offensive stalls with (as of now) an injury depleted defense to get right back in it. Hyde and Poyer had the big plays locked down, Edmunds takes away part of the playing field and we are missing a huge part of what makes our defense so good. With the b team in, mistakes can and will be made, poor angles, missed tackles, going for ints instead of knocking passes down (mental lapses) and now an offense that is known to make mistakes and stall out puts more pressure on themselves and, well, you get what we have here... Looking at some of the plays cover 1 puts up, it looks like there are some plays we don't get the proper spacing on, plays josh has not executed well all season and we keep calling them and arent improving on those fundamental issues, etc. These are part of the drivers of allowing games to be close and outer inability to put the games away. If you can't do this properly, you have to rely on hero ball to pull it out or lose it. Sean preaches fundamentals, and there are fundamental coaching issues within the schemes, players and within the coaching ranks that hurt this team a lot. This is what will start and keep going the divide between offense vs defense, we do our job why can't you do yours...
  9. So more coaching from the offensive side of the ball. Can we infer that the HC as a defensive minded coach, might not understand these nuances enough to be able to help the offensive coaches and players?
  10. I havent gone this far yet, but there are times it feels like on offense specifically there is a disconnect between McD and the offensive coaching staff and what Beane brings in for the very reason you mention above. It is even more difficult to understand that you have a HC who says they want to run more effectively, we get said players and they don't play. We dress 5 or 6 RBs and they only play for one half. This isn't tied to just Dorsey, it happened with Daboll too. Does the offensive staff not care about what Sean says?
  11. That's not who jw is and if he knows something, he knows something. What sucks for us as fans, he can't really say much more without losing his connections and damaging relationships. Knowing how much people care about this team, he tries to give as much insight as he can...
  12. It's still early in the season 😆
  13. 3 are on Josh, I posted the video in this thread, Josh was trying to run before the ball was even snapped to him. So 3 are on him...
  14. Ha! no clue why I typed 26 points. In a normal world, hyde and poyer would not have allowed 200 yards to Jefferson amd it would have been much different. I do think McD is being rightfully aggressive this year in trying to put teams away. I do believe part of the decision making on the 4th and 2 was putting this on the stronger (less injured) of the 2 units. They convert there or score the td, it takes a lot of pressure off the patchwork D or at least make them drive 93 yards. I have no problem with us trying to put the game away, that's what good teams do.
  15. Josh is entirely pressing too much and the coaching staff has to help him and the entire team right now. I see jw's tweet as a warning this can go off the rails if the don't pull their heads out of their assses...
  16. Josh had time to throw too...
  17. Player and coaching right there imo.
  18. So you have a lot of personal feelings built in here, Getting rid of all of that - I see this: This was 4th and 2 and we go into shotgun and every WR runs into the end zone And that play call would be a problem right? Kind of like; you need 10 yards and every receiver runs to the 7 yard line with the D right on their backs... a poor play call =/= a bad decision. In this instance if we dropped the pass, got stuffed at the line or Josh saw there was no play and tossed it away or ran for no gain; they have the ball on their 7 yard line. Their is only one thing you shouldn't do, throw a pic that could have a return on it, with all of our WR in the end zone - who is there to make that tackle? Poor situational awareness by Josh and even Dorsey making that call and not reminding him to not throw a pic on it. You see the 3 points as a way to make the math work based on the outcome we already have. The information that is missing is if we kick the FG and miss it, they have it at the roughly the (14 instead of 7 spot of kick) spot as a turnover on downs, or we make it and they are down 13 instead of 10 which is still 2 scores. The vikings would have called much different plays to get the TD instead of taking shots and being able to settle for the FG. That entire drive would have looked different and you have no idea on how that would have played out. Based on how they were moving the ball against our D, they very likely would have gotten the TD It looks that way. IIRC Josh said in post game that he waws worried about Harrison Smith and didn't want ot lead him too much, He was going for that tight throw, but Peterson slow played and jumped it
  19. question for you You project based on being up 13 instead of 10 that they wouldn't have been able to get 13 points on us based on changing the play calling on our end. You cannot keep their play calling on their subsequent drives the same as they were, playing to tie with a FG or being forced to get a TD... The D gave up 26 points in the 2nd half - do you really think we would have stopped them? I don't; they were killing us
  20. This makes me feel better with what I thought I saw at the game in my end zone, Devin wasn't open on the last play until it was too late
  21. My guess is it is scheme and play calls; possibly poor execution as far as separation from the Cover 1 screen shot and Josh not taking what is there (he is pressing in the end zone) this is just Josh's nerves - he really is trying to run it before he has it. Again pressing, nervous etc. It's on him and I would say the coaching staff if they didn't pull him aside to get his focus and mindset right. Help your guy who is struggling right now to stay focused and calm...
  22. No argument - here is a question for you though... What did Brady and the Pats always do to us (and everyone for that matter) when they were up on us and it was 4th and short on our end of the field?
  23. This took a bit to find, I was hoping someone had it. FWIW, with the exception of the one guy in my section who just hates Singletary and says we can't run stop running the ball, everyone looked at him and mocked him after his 2 Tuddys, the stadium consensus was happy as hell McD grew a pair and is being aggressive and going for the jugular. We need more of this
  24. So 22 of our last 24 plays were passes and then we line up to do this? I would think players would be pissed at their coaches for putting them in this position - again talk about again letting the D know what is coming.. We ran twice out of 24 plays, abandoned the run, have had trouble running up the middle all season long - look at the stack over the middle against team with a strong DL and Harrison Smith. How many times do we get Gabe to push Josh - no wonder he fumbled (doesn't look like a snap issue, but every player on offense knew what was coming) and you have to wonder if they had any confidence in their ability to get out of the EZ I think most of the reporters end up talking and they obviously can't report everything they know or hear because no one will talk to them ever again... when you start seeing smoke from multiple sources - digg a little bit and try to put the puzzle (clues) together
  25. We have been figured out - no adjustments = Coaching
