  1. This honestly is the best thing about this team and the board right now, no one is arguing about filling a specific hole. Much like with pick 1, you can go in lots of other directions and it is simply based on the best player on the board. Usually it would be we need CB because we let, Winfield, Clements, Gilmore etc walk. We need LT because we traded Peters, we need C because Wood retired, we need a G to fill... We are talking about depth positions in RD 2. (I suppose WR/TE are still there, but we upgraded a lot already and you can't force it all into 1 year)

  3. We have missed a player like that for quite awhile IMO. We need that juice on this team
  4. They will like his blonde mustache in the clink
  5. Might be able to sweat Denver out for Lock in RD2
  6. I like McCoy a lot, Risner is nice as well.Ford is good as well. I said it in another thread, but knowing that next year's OL class looks to be bad (and WR very good), I think that makes us place a higher emphasis on OL this year and push WR need a bit to next year. We love to have the C/G type player versatility. Ford is a great choice too!
  7. I love Morse - my favorite FA signing and my #1 target! He does have an injury history, Bodine sucks. I would love Erik McCoy who can play G/C, Risner, Cody Ford. I think we love the C/G type players; simple way to have depth & you can free up spots for other positions. You are exactly correct with OL taking a few years to develop, if you can get good value and draft them in a round where they aren't counted on the start right away, you can really work on their development. I would say you should take a CB and OL every year, can never really have enough of either position IMO. Thinking long term, and this is just a thought, but you have to take into account the 2020 class. If you know you have a weakness on OL (and really have no clue on how the OL work be with all of these new additions) and you know that next class is expected to be weak - do you push the positional priority up? I'm not speaking in terms of straight up player evals/talent to cause a reach on talent, but most boards have the positional premium element factored in. Does the same logic work for WRs - if you have RD2 or lower grades on all of them, and next years class is expected to be really good - do you devalue that need now and elevate the weaker one? At that point, do you swing for the depth at the TE class? I hope this makes sense LOL Edit: I do like DK in this rd fwiw
  8. They badly need OL and the next crop is going to go quickly here (right after the CBs). They have Kirk and Fitz (for this upcoming season) and their OL was worse than ours
  9. A few good interior OL guys are here right now as well. I'm thinking OL & TE first and then DL/WR
  10. Good list. Erik McCoy sticks out like a sore thumb. Cards or any team that needs a C/G would love to pick this kid: He allowed just 19 total pressures across 1,445 pass-blocking snaps in three seasons and was top five among this year’s centers in PFF’s pass blocking efficiency over the same time frame. McCoy doesn’t have many weaknesses, although he admits himself he can sometimes “bury his head into blocks” and can work on keeping his hands inside rather than letting them go outside.
  11. It is kinda irrelevant at this point no? 4ths and 5ths were getting done with the 2nd tossed in. There were thoughts in the twitter verse we may be able to get it done a bit cheaper around 30/31 since we are picking 8th in RD2. In the end it proved to be too cost prohibitive to move - which was/is the right move...ATL giving a 2 & 3 were too much at that point in the draft.
  12. There is a video of it out there. I know it is in the RD1 Ed Oliver thread Edit: Found it
  13. I'm happy what he and Gruden did for us tonight. Thanks Mike! I like Riddick, but hate Kiper and McShay. Dan Jeremiah did good tonight on NFLN
  14. OL sucks next year and there was a run a bit near the end. If we could grab Risner and grab a TE (great 2-4 depth) I would be happy. Next year is a WR class and I'd rather go hunting in there.
  15. Indy is certainly taking one. Risner would be a nice pick and then grab Jace as our TE (i'm expecting to have to come back before NE to grab him in RD2)
  16. Risner, AJ Brown, Chase Winovich, DK, Irv, Greedy, Rock ya
