  1. Not comparing them to those teams, but that special bond where they love each other and actually play for each other is a huge thing that has been missing for a looooong time
  2. I actually agree, it was extremely obvious and pathetic, but yet people still clicked on it - what does that say about them?
  3. But we couldn't pass the ball and TT was not bringing us back from being down...
  4. People have to keep in mind there is Coach/GM speak and while they are technically correct about how they want to build, they also must feel the urgency of the expiring rookie contracts in 2021 & onwards & shore up those positions while they can - they don't have the luxury of a 5-7 year rebuild to find every core premier player in the draft. They need to push the chips to the middle of the table on the premier FAs they can't get through this draft (obviously not crazy overspending). They are $1.5M over the cap, need about $10M for their rookie class - it all comes down to how far they want to cut. They can restructure Campbell, but that will only do so much they are in a fairly tight situation and face a very tough decision. At the end of the day, that franchise is screwed for the next couple years with the cap. Austin Hooper and the Falcons are in the same boat, cutting can be done to re-sign him - how deep do you go if you do and is it worth it in the end?
  5. Josh needed better anticipation on his throw and toss it before Brown made is break outside. Fault goes both ways and while it was a failure on both, it still should have been caught. It sucks to leave plays like that on the field. Honestly it is par for the course this season and like some of the other drops we have seen over the course of the season a slightly better throw would have helped the WR, but the WR still should have caught it. The only other drops that really pissed me off this year were when the pass catcher would take their eyes off the catch and start looking up field and dropping it. All of it needs to get corrected/cleaned up this off season
  6. Just using your response to jump in but jeez, both things can be true - Josh could have thrown a bit earlier, which would have been an easier completion and possibly a TD and Brown could have still caught the ball as it was thrown and dragged his toes. Football is a game of inches, but plays like this happen in all games numerous times. Brown should have still been able to catch it - there was ample room - it is more on him than Josh. At the same time, yeah Josh could have tossed it a second earlier
  7. This has been a great thread.... I believe you see more of a change when the owners are younger and not these guys
  8. We have an extra 5th and 2 extra 6ths to use to move around as well; I expect us to be fairly aggressive in targeting the WRs we want. I agree with what you say about Allen, he is also prone to panicking. Continued upgrades on the OL and sure handed WRs/TEs who don't drop the ball should provide quick outlets that will help as well. I don't see Beane being prone to this, McD might be
  9. You're not wrong and you need to be right around the 21-24 points per game threshold - this has been a big issue with us for a long ass time. It has been mentioned in this thread (and I have mentioned in numerous threads as well) against Cover 0, we have no answer for it and cannot beat it. Our pass catchers (WR & TEs) 1.) do not get enough separation consistently against the better DBs in the league 2.) have had their fair share of drops this year 3.) are not good at contested catches 4.) don't generate a ton of YAC The WR we should be targeting in RD1 should have these traits and be an explosive athletic freak (the Beane DNA) and we need an RT and a better TE that Kroft & Smith. These are all players who can and should be upgraded. They keep saying the want to keep and resign the core, none of these guys represent the core. The core is Dawkins, Allen, Edmunds, Milano, Oliver & White. Singletary will likely be a core guy
  10. Right?! We will get a better idea after the combine & FA when we can really look at the needs of the 21 teams in front of us. I'm certain Beane will move around to make sure he gets his one of his top WR targets. Just quickly looking at some mocks and where talent lines up, CB actually could be BPA at 22 We better not draft CB in RD1 (and I am no way for it - terrible move). If Bryce Hall or one of the top RTs is sitting in the late 30s-40s, I would move up for that. As of now, the talent level looks good for those positions (CB/RT) right there with some additional depth below that.
  11. I wasn't saying we should @BillfromNYC just loves 1st round CBs RD2 will be true straight up BPA at any position and CB2 is a need
  12. Beane does not seem to have the issues that his predecessors had, I said it in the end of year presser thread - best GM we have had since Polian -there is actually a roster building plan since he arrived. If we don't move from 22 at all, there is a good chance that CB could be BPA - imagine that one
  13. Question - why do you think they sign Clowney now, when they could have traded for him? He did go for a 3rd... Not being a turd, just curious regarding your thoughts...
  14. He posted it awhile back.. https://tinyurl.com/tf89q9e Would Ya?
