  1. A more likely scenario if the owner knew would be to hope he could trade Watson before anyone else knew. He could posture that they weren't going to trade him to up his trade value & breathe a huge sigh of relief once the deal was final. The last thing Houston's ownership wanted was for this to come out while he was still with the Texans because now he might be suspended or worse, his career may be over if he's criminally prosecuted & convicted. From strictly a biased Bills fan perspective, it's too bad the Dolphins or Jets didn't trade a lot to get him and then have this come out right after the beginning of the season when it would be too late to rescind the trade.
  2. For Bills only: Going back to the 1970s it has to be Terry Miller, but the most recent was Robert Foster. Miller was a 1st round pick who fizzled out after a solid rookie year. Foster was an undrafted free agent so not much was expected of him. A funny re-draft of the 2018 draft in the off season after 2018 had Foster as one of their 1st rounders in the redraft. For the NFL: In 1969 Greg Cook was the Bengals 1st rounder (5th overall) and looked to be a franchise QB as a rookie. He wrecked his arm & didn't play again until 1973. He played in only 1 game that year & was done forever. If you never heard of him, here's a good story: https://thegruelingtruth.com/football/greg-cook-he-could-have-been-the-greatest-ever/ More recently it has to be RGIII.
  3. Rosen ran out of excuses a long time ago. Arizona saw enough of him to move him before his trade value went down to zero after 1 year. Miami gave him a chance & decided he was bad enough to draft Tua. Then after Miami cut him no team, after seeing his 2 years in the NFL, wanted him & he ended up on Tampa's practice squad where he stayed until SF was running low on QBs & signed him without so much of a whimper from Tampa Bay. Now look at Josh Allen: I think it's safe to say I don't know what rookie would have been successful in Buffalo. His O-line & WRs had to be as bad as Arizona's if not worse. At least Arizona had Larry Fitzgerald. Our Josh had virtually no receivers with Robert Foster coming off the practice squad to be Josh's top receiver. What has Foster done since? Still as a rookie Josh Allen helped will the team to 5 wins in 11 starts. He made no excuses, came back with better players his 2nd season & immediately led the Bills to their best record in many years. By year 3, in spite of the rookie hardships, Josh Allen became a top 5 QB in the entire league. Josh Rosen was just another good college player who isn't good enough to make it, even as a quality backup, in the NFL. He isn't the 1st & he won't be the last, he just isn't meant for NFL football. Nothing wrong with that. A lot of good college players never get to start a single game in the NFL and still have a good enough resume to get a leg up on a lot of post football jobs. Josh Rosen will probably have a long successful career. It just won't be as a football player.
  4. Jimmy Johnson "When you talk the talk, you gotta walk the walk" Rosen talked the talk but didn't walk the walk.
  5. Maybe he has a kid here that nobody knows about & he's visiting the kid. There's no way he's here to play for the Bills again.
  6. Not just that, his wife would divorce him & his kids would never talk to him again.
  7. Barkley is gone, look at the posts prior to you post.
  8. Have you seen the forced oral allegation? That one is a lot different than anything that went on in a massage parlor.
  9. They can't trade him at all until these allegations are settled. He faces a suspension at best and possible expulsion if this goes to a criminal charge and he gets a sentence that ends his career.
  10. It looks like he won't be playing anywhere until this and the other allegations are settled civilly and criminally. If he's criminally charged and convicted his career is over. Houston is now locked into Tyrod as their starter. Watson can't be traded before the draft & without a trade Houston can't draft another QB.
  11. Mrs. Williams heard about the hiring & called him up and told him to tell Josh it's time to put a ring on her daughter Brittany's finger.
  12. If he's really a wizard, he'll trade Atlanta's pick to Philly for Ertz.
  13. He used to return punts & kicks, so he might be in the mix for the returner spot.
  14. Mixed bag of + & -. Haack's best advantage is touchbacks. Bojo 2020 17%, Career 11%; The Hawk: 2020 3%, Career 5%.
  15. Houston would be crazy to take Bridgewater or Darnold as part of a Watson trade. Why would they want a 1 year rental of Darnold? When they trade Watson the higher of the 1st rounders will go on a QB. Unfortunately the teams with two 1st rounders are the Jets & Dolphins. Any trade to either of these teams would be for multiple picks & some players. IMO Houston would also be crazy to take Tua-he can't hold Watson's jock.
  16. Houston is demanding Belichick for Culley is part of the deal🤣
  17. Just like the Fitz meme Tyrod should have a similar meme: Signs with team-Team drafts a rookie QB in the 1st round-Coach announces Tyrod is the starter-Tyrod gets hurt-Rookie lights it up and Tryod spends the season on the bench-rinse & repeat.
  18. I hear he's up to 900 lbs and will occupy so much space it will be impossible for any team to run against the Bills. We're also signing Bill Brasky so that each week there will be 0 to negative rushing yards against us.
  19. More like a coach who realizes he may have only 3 more seasons to coach.
  20. It was from the microfilm in the Buffalo Public Library in Downtown Buffalo of the actual newspapers that period & I ran the microfilm until I reached the right day. I read other parts of the newspaper. What's wrong with you? Who photoshops a newspaper in Buffalo's biggest library that's on microfilm from 1967? You might be thinking of the Buffalo Evening News.
  21. Since I grew up in Long Island, I didn't get to see many Bills games as a kid. I was 13 watching the AFL championship game for the rights to go to the 1st Super Bowl. During the broadcast from the Rockpile, they were showing some banners in the stands. One of the banners said "Bills in Super Bowl, Chiefs in soup bowl" and if I recall correctly they had drawn a soup bowl with Chiefs players in it & steam coming out of the bowl. I thought it was the greatest banner I'd ever seen. Years later when it came around to Super Bowl time, I'd hear someone say on the air that they didn't call the Super Bowl the Super Bowl until SBIII. I got so obsessed to prove them wrong, remembering the banner, I went to the Buffalo public library & found the Courier Express from the day after the game. As you can see, the paper says "Kansas City Team Gains Super Bowl"
  22. Not if we draft someone who is a return specialist, preferably a CB.
  23. Since the season ended the debate has been between those of us, myself included, who think the problem with the running game and the team's abandonment of it is because our RBs aren't very good and those who have blamed it on the O-line. Well, so far based on the re-signing of Feliciano and Williams, it looks pretty obvious to me that Beane, who in his end of season PC indicated he wasn't pleased with the running game, doesn't think the O-line was the problem. The starting 5 are basically locked in with the exception of LG, which will be either Ford or Boettger. So IMO Beane knows our RBs suck and will be looking to upgrade at RB, not O-line, either in free agency or the draft. The lamest excuse I've seen for not upgrading the running back position is that Beane would have to admit he made a mistake drafting a RB in the 3rd round in each of the last 2 drafts. Beane doesn't seem to be the type whose pride would cause him to keep the status quo at a position of need just because he drafted two 3rd round RBs. If the Bills were so satisfied with Singletary & Moss as the top 2 RBs, they would have never tried to sign Bell in the middle of this past season.
  24. Why do you think there's any chance the Giants do anything with Barkley other than accept his 5th year option? Sorry, but your OP is ridiculous. No
