  1. If it was after the Geno Smith/ I.K.Enemkpali fight you could have left photos of Geno post punch saying this is what happens to guys who don't pay up.
  2. When one of them said that if Kingsbury hadn't been named coach of Arizona Rosen would probably still be there I knew they had been drinking. The main reason Kingsbury got the job was because he told them he wanted no part of Rosen & I imagine the GM agreed and knew he had found his man. Just think how bad Rosen must have looked in practice as a rookie for Arizona to know that they had to get rid of him while he still had some trade value left. In a way I feel sorry for Rosen. It's got to be tough for him to realize he is so limited as a player in the NFL. It's almost like a high school valedictorian flunking out of college his freshman year & every time he enrolls in another college he flunks out there too.
  3. The cards are federal documents-time for the FBI to scoop him up. Unfortunately, he's much more likely to be fined than spend any time in jail:https://www.beckershospitalreview.com/healthcare-information-technology/what-s-the-penalty-for-using-fake-vaccine-cards-3-things-to-know.html Using or falsifying vaccine records is a federal offense, with each offense carrying the potential for prison time, according to NBC affiliate WUSA 9. Using or selling a fake COVID-19 vaccine card is illegal. The FBI said in March that falsifying a federal seal is a federal crime. Vaccine cards have two federal seals: one from the CDC and one from HHS. Forging either of these is a violation that could carry a fine and up to five years in prison. Using a fake vaccine card is less likely to lead to jail time and more likely to lead to probation, according to the report. Those who sell thousands of fake vaccine cards are more likely to get the maximum sentence, the report said. Depending on the state, using a fake vaccine card can break state laws too. New York made falsifying vaccine records a class E felony. In Washington D.C., making fake vaccine cards violates its forgery law. In both states, the offenses could lead to time in prison.
  4. Go back to the archives after the Bills had failed with JP & EJ as 1st round picks. There was a large faction that was against ever drafting another 1st round QB, with their argument being to fill the other holes on offense with high draft choices and then try to get lucky with a later round QB because the hit rate on 1st rounder QBs was less than 50%. I was not one of them & always thought get the QB in the 1st round 1st, that you're not going to ruin a young QB with a bad supporting cast as a rookie. Since Josh proved them wrong plus the fact the Bills won't be in the market for a 1st round QB, the posts no longer are needed to debate either way. There's still a large always trade down group on this board, another group I'm not a part of.
  5. I think they know White is nothing special-similar to the day Matt Barkley lit the Jets up in 2018 and never reproduced that performance since. So, if Saleh feels he knows that there's nothing to have to contemplate about White's future and is trying to build a winning culture, why waste another game on White when he thinks Flacco gives him the best chance to beat Miami, in what has to be one of the more winnable games on the schedule. In 2018 what you say about Josh did happen to some extent. Josh got hurt a few games after lighting it up vs Minnesota. The difference is that Josh was the equivalent of Zach Wilson, not Mike White, so the next game after Barkley lit up the Jets, Josh returned as the starter. Wilson will start as soon as the coaches feel he's ready no matter what Flacco does. Why didn't the Bills try to see what Barkley had for a possible trade? Because they knew his one great game meant nothing, just like the Jets know that about White, who they see every day at practice. By the way, when Barkley lit up the Jets in 2018 he was only 2 years older than White is today. The only QB the Jets are interested in developing is Zach Wilson. All Mike White is is a 1 hit wonder, no better than Barkley was in 2018 when the only QB the Bills were interested in developing was Josh Allen.
  6. I've actually watched a game like that in 1987. I was living in Suffolk County Long Island and a friend whose wife is from Buffalo lived further east than me. The Bills/Patriots game was being broadcast in Connecticut & we put an antenna with tin foil on a hockey stick & moved it around his patio until we had the best signal we could get. We were able to watch the entire broadcast from the Connecticut station in Shirley NY.
  7. Here is the real story: The merger was agreed upon on June 8, 1966, more than 2 years before the Heidi game. The agreement was for the leagues to be separate for 4 more seasons & then merge into 1 league, effective in 1970. So the Heidi game & AFL ratings in 1968 had nothing to do with the merger. The 1st common draft was in 1967 as was the 1st Super Bowl (after the 1966 season). The Jets upset of the Colts in Super Bowl III made the merger more acceptable to the fans, but also had nothing to do with the merger agreement, that as I have already stated, was made on June 8, 1966.
  8. The Bills continue to defy the draft theories espoused here over the years: Don't draft a kicker-Tyler Bass Don't draft a QB in the 1st round-Josh Allen Don't trade up-Dawkins, Allen, Edmunds, Knox I hope they destroy another theory in next year's draft and stop treating the RB spot like they're a dime a dozen & spend a 1st or 2nd round pick on a RB. While we're at it, maybe it's time to draft a punter too.
  9. Since I grew up in the NY Metropolitan area in Nassau County, when the game went off TV, I immediately put the game on the Jets station & listened to the radio broadcast.
  10. I've been to 276 NFL games (262 Bills games) and the 6-3 loss to Cleveland on 10/11/09 was the worst game I've ever been to. I was glad Roscoe Parrish fumbled late in the 4th quarter so that Cleveland could kick the winning FG & I could go home.
  11. It's official Colts at Bills Sunday Ch 6 WRGB. They advertised the telecast on the 11 o'clock news tonight (11/16).
  12. So self proclaimed future Hall of Famer Rachad Wildgoose joins former self proclaimed 1st overall pick Mike White on the Jets delusional squad.
  13. Fournette was a free agent after Jacksonville released him because nobody would give them a draft pick.
  14. Yesterday I checked the Ch 6 schedule on WRGB's website & it says they're showing the Bills game. Today I checked my Verizon Fios guide & the previous few days it said the Jets/Dolphins game. Now it says Indy at the Bills. This is a must game on home TV for me since I have to be home by 4:30.
  15. I don't think he hated it. What he hated was working for a coach & GM who didn't want him around, drafted another RB in the 1st round and took away his playing time. If I was treated as poorly as Lynch was by Nix & Gailey, I'd hate my time under them too. "I'm just wearing this jackset so I won't get fined."
  16. If the line doesn't stay healthy, they're done. Before the Jax game I told a fellow Bills fan who I went to view the game at OTB that the under was a lock since neither offense is going to do anything. It was pretty predictable that the O in Jax with all the missing parts was going to struggle. I also said no way they would cover the spread that day. Throughout the game I regretted that we didn't drive to the casino where we could have bet the game instead of OTB. Unfortunately, I didn't have my car that week (It was in for a new alternator & I didn't get it back until Monday) and couldn't get to the casino 22 miles away to bet what I thought was a pretty obvious situation that the O would sputter. I don't believe the team blew off the Jags game, all those injuries & the lack of any decent running backs caused the problems. By the Jets game the line was much better & Knox was back. I think people underestimate the importance of Spencer Brown. With him the line is adequate. Without him it's a mess.
  17. Please stop with the late round RB stuff. The sweet spot is late 1st or early-mid 2nd round. There's no reason to expect to find the guy below that. We have 2 3rd round RBs who aren't cutting it. Go further down & the odds decrease of finding a franchise back. A franchise back is the final piece to an unstoppable offense. OG & RB 1st 2 rounds in either order. It's time for us to stop cheaping out on those 2 positions. It's too bad Ford is a bust but it happens. If the Bills have to trade up into the 40s in the 2nd round to get their RB, do it! By the 3rd round the best RBs are all but gone. Sure you can find a late round gem every now & then, but they're the exception, not the rule. Here is the draft status of the NFL top 5 rushers so far in 2021: D. Henry: 2nd pick 45 J. Taylor 2nd 41 N. Chubb 2nd 35 E. Elliott 1st 4 D. Cook 2nd 41
  18. More like the Jags game proved that if you have Williams at RT, Boettger & Ford at Gs, Moss & Singletary behind those lines, no Knox and Josh getting swamped by a pass rush the O-line can't handle that any team can beat the Bills. Fortunately, the Bills won't be going into games with the problems that existed in Jacksonville. The Jets game proved that the Bills can get away with 1 weak spot at G, but 2 holes at G destroys the offense. As long as the Bills don't have Ford & Boettger out there at the same time, things should be OK.
  19. Yes he did: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/11/12/mike-white-if-you-ask-me-i-should-have-been-a-first-overall-pick/ “I couldn’t tell you. That’s definitely the scouting departments across the league and what their interpretation of me is,” White said. “I have 100 percent confidence in myself. So if you ask me, I should have been a first overall pick. But that’s neither here nor there. That’s four years ago. I try to get my mind off that and be in the here and now and execute what my job is right now.”
  20. I think it will be a long time before Mike White says again that he should have been the 1st pick of the 2018 NFL draft. Yesterday he played like he should have been Mr. Irrelevant, because he was irrelevant. Instead of looking at his I-pad on the sidelines when the Bills had the ball, he should have been watching the guy who can say he should have been the 1st pick and tried to learn from watching him.
  21. The parking lots were filled pretty early (our bus got there around 10:50 AM). There were a lot of empty seats close to 1 PM. My guess is they just tailgaited too long before going into the stadium. Because so many people left early it was probably easier getting out after the game, but our bus still was in a lot of traffic until we got into North Jersey. When I drive I try to get there really early, close to when the gates open, so I can pick a spot close to the exit headed north. The last time I drove, I stayed the night before at a motel on Rt 17 so I could get there early enough without waking up at a ridiculous time.
  22. I watched the broadcast this morning out of curiosity about the announcers & I came up with an opinion that I don't expect too many to be upset with: If we were watching a NE game & from the very start the announcers were saying how good they are, like the announcers did to the Bills yesterday, we'd be complaing how bad the announcers were. While announcers can compliment a team, Dedes & Feeley were practically handing the Bills the Lombardi Trophy.
  23. There was one series that we had 6 guys on the O-line lined up left to right Brown, Dawkins, Boettger, Morse, Williams & Bates. I thought it was odd that both starting OTs were lined up next to each other. The team will keep experimenting until they find the best 5 for the playoffs.
