  1. Actually, not so dumb. Keep him this year, franchise him next & either keep him & sign him or trade him next year & know what place in the draft the team they're trading him to has. If I was running Seattle I'd keep him re-sign him & if I want a QB I have 2 1sts (one which may be very high) & 2 2nds to trade next year & have my QB & #1 WR.
  2. Atlanta will give us another draft pick if we leave Moss out of the deal.
  3. It's a different battle in the NYC metro area. The Giants and Jets crossed the Hudson into another state. Same fan base, just a different part of the metropolitan area, not very far away. The Yankees threatened NJ too. NYS didn't want to lose another team to NJ. In Buffalo not only would the team move out of state, but they would be abandoning their fans. Unfortunately the newspapers in the eastern part of NY don't understand the Bills situation and are against the Bills getting a new stadium. Suddenly they act like if the government isn't making a profit it's a bad deal. I've always though government was supposed to be nonprofit and serve the people of the entire state, not just the loudest complainers in Albany and NYC.
  4. Peace Bridge security has issued an alert to watch for potential bridge jumpers.
  5. Because even a Ferrari needs a tuneup every now & then.
  6. The NY papers & the Albany Times Union newspaper are crying like they just got carjacked. I hope the decision makers don't block it. The papers keep ignoring the fact that the Bills owners are TENANTS and will not own the stadium.
  7. Thanks for the info, I thought agents got 10%. For 3% or less, he's foolish to be negotiating his own contract. I once heard an opinion that criticized Lamar in 2018 saying that an agent would have prepared him better in marketing himself for a higher draft spot. If that is true, he's been costing himself $ for over 4 years already.
  8. That never happened. Josh kneeled down in victory formation in the last minute.
  9. Lamar might be the smartest of them all-let the other QBs hire agents who gets a % of their contract, have them set the market & then go in asking for his market value. The lawyer will go over the contract at a fraction of the cost. He could even give the Ravens a 5% discount & still pocket more money than the guys with agents.
  10. How about that, hundreds of millions of $ to help build the stadium will be coming from the Seneca Nation casino revenues.
  11. Question: How many coaches who defer in the 1st half, also defer in the 2nd half? Answer: NONE! You don't defer unless you have the option of getting the 1st possession later in the game. Logic says choose the option that has the possibility of more possessions. If you both score and the game is tied the team that took the ball can win the game with the team that deferred not having another possession. Give me the possibility of a 2-1 possession advantage in overtime every game.
  12. So the new policy is project who will have the #1 pick in 2 years & award the draft to that city.
  13. The problem was that 6-7 years ago there wasn't an engineering study that said the stadium was feasibly beyond repair. Once a safety issue was introduced it was a much easier sell than in 2015.
  14. Baker? 1st day is his wife & him moving into a new stadium.
  15. They should make a deal with McKinley Mall for extra parking with shuttle buses.
  16. The team is prohibited from speaking to any other municipalities until September so all the paperwork can be done without other municipalities trying to beat it with a better offer before all the legal stuff is finished & signed.
  17. My TV froze before Smith got on the stage. The odds that my TV had a glitch right at that moment are pretty low. Now I don't know if it was my local station or Verizon doing the censoring, but I never saw the slap because my TV was frozen.
  18. I don't believe it was staged. In my broadcast it was edited out with an Oscar logo, but that may have been my local Albany station doing that since I've read stories where the person sounds like they saw it live. So did some see it live & others didn't? At the time I had no idea what happened and had to find out after the show on the internet.
  19. I watched it live and they didn't show it. 1st my tv kind of froze, then they showed a screen shot that said Oscars. They showed a little of Smith cursing out Rock but there was no sound. Obviously they had something like a 7 second delay and never showed what we can see on the videos above on the early posts of this thread.
  20. It may not have been a forgone conclusion after his rookie year, but after his 2nd year he was entrenched as the Bills QB, in spite of what the stat boys thought. He still had to clean up his deep passes after the 2nd season, but anyone who was watching every game & still questioned who was going to be the Bills QB the next 10 years wasn't paying much attention.
  21. McCarron was bad in camp, then got hurt in preseason & was behind Peterman, which annoyed McCarron. Rumors are he didn't want to be a backup to Peterman. Peterman was bad in the opener & got benched in the 3rd quarter. After that the Bills named Allen the starter before he got hurt in Houston & missed 4 games. Then after Peterman failed again when he replaced the injured Josh in Houston, the Bills brought in Anderson & then Barkley. Here are some quotes before regular camp from Bills Digest indicating McCarron was unimpressive in mini-camp: 1. Who will win the starting QB job out of training camp? CB: I believe it’s going to come down to two candidates —Josh Allen and Nathan Peterman. Peterman was the most consistent QB in the spring. Provided he stays on that same track, I think he’ll be the starter in Week 1 unless Josh Allen comes on faster than anticipated. It’s clear the Bills brass doesn’t want to throw Allen to the wolves right away, but if he shines in the preseason he could get the keys to the offense. AJ McCarron just hasn’t impressed and doesn’t measure up in the leadership category to the other two. ML: I never thought I’d be saying this a few months ago, but I’m going with Nathan Peterman. I thought Peterman was quietly having a good spring before ramping it up a notch at Buffalo’s final spring practices. He’s throwing the ball with more velocity and precision and looks like a different quarterback from last year. He’ll need to keep that up, of course, and can’t fall back when it comes to turnovers. But he’s my pick heading into training camp.
  22. I just looked up delusional in the dictionary and there was a picture of Johnny Manziel. Either that or he's stealing Hue Jackson's act.
