Obviously Cleveland knows the error of their ways and have now rectified that mistake.

QBs make coaches, not the other way around like you believe. Josh would have succeeded anywhere and his coaches would have ridden on his coattails, just like most of the successful coaches who suddenly turned into genuises when the franchise QB arrived.

The worst part is the last time he played he came in late in a blowout vs NE & threw an INT and then got benched for the 3rd string QB.

I go back & forth with Rosen. Sometimes I laugh at him thinking what a gigantic bust he is, then other times I read articles like the on linked below & somehow hope that he can turn things around. It's tough to hate on the guy after reading this link, but then I watch him play & realize that whatever work he's put in, it just isn't working & it's time for him to get a real job. Part of the reason I feel sorry for the guy is when I was his age I was unemployed after being fired from the job I planned to make my career. It was tough, unlike Rosen I had nowhere to go & ended up literally living in my parents basement. It took 16 months for me to turn things around and eventually get my career back on track, so I can sympathize with Rosen's situation a little more than most. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32706881/josh-rosen-finds-peace-perspective-atlanta-mentor-rich-gannon

Tyrod was never close to an 11 win QB. His best record as a starter was in 2017 when the Bills won 8 of his 14 starts. His celing is 2 games above .500 and he's only hit it once in his career. Also the playoff game, his last game as a Bill, was pretty bad. His career record in all games started is 26-26-1. Pretty much sums up what he is. For the amount of talent he has, Tyrod has exceeded all expectations. As a 6th round pick he had about a 10% chance at a long term NFL career. He's lasted 12 years counting this upcoming season. He's a decent backup QB, who won't lose you a game by himself like some of the guys we've had (Peterman, Fromm being the latest duds) and the coaches & players must like him for him to last as long in the NFL. Also he's made millions & should be set for life, not as good as the most famous 6th round QB, but overall, a pretty good career for a 6th round pick. I've always thought that if Rex had remained, the Bills would have drafted Watson. Best case scenario would be that we'd have all those picks Cleveland sent Houston & after a few good seasons early on with Watson, we'd currently be back in QB hell.

The difference between fans views of Fitzpatrick & Taylor has nothing to do with race-It's all about personalities, on & off the field. Fitzpatrick on the field was a gunslinger. His talents didn't always match his bravado, hence "Fitzmagic" and "Fitztragic". Off the field Fitzpatrick is very outgoing with a great sense of humor and a dynamic personality. That's why as soon as he retired he was signed to be part of the Thursday broadcasts. Taylor is reserved, both on and off the field. On the field he was very conservative, rarely taking chances. Off the field, Taylor is a pretty quiet guy who quite frankly, comes off as rather bland. Nobody is going to be knocking down his door for a high profile network job.

I'm too old to fight anyone but here are the top Bills QBs: The top 4 are easy: Kelly, Allen, Kemp, Ferguson (3 WOFers and our current star). an argument can also be made that any and all of the following were better : Bledsoe, Flutie, Reich, & Fitzpatrick. You might be able to put Tyrod ahead of the last 2 but that makes him no better than 7th. I'd rank all 4 ahead of Tyrod, making him #9 among all time Bills QBs and that's only because I didn't include Lamonica because he only started 4 games for the Bills. Overall career Lamonica & Bledsoe tower over Tyrod.

I went to a football game and a hockey game broke out

How else can a player make it through a game at what has to be the lowest level of "professional" football? -
There were rumors that Doug Flutie had a voodoo doll of Rob Johnson & every time he stuck a needle into it, RJ would get injured. 😈

When the Bills signed him I penciled him in as the starter because I figured he couldn't be worse than EJ or Matt Cassel. I was psyched by what Rex Ryan had said about the people in Baltimore who loved Tyrod and had told Rex some very positive things about Tyrod. I sent an e-mail to a friend and titled it "We have our franchise QB." and in the body of the e-mail I put a photo of a tie rod. He wrote me back that I must have made a mistake because I sent him a picture of a car part. I guess he hadn't heard about the Taylor signing yet. I was a fan in the beginning, even going as far as buying a T-Mobile golf shirt (I had to find it on the internet since the T-Mobile stores around here didn't have any shirts for sale). I still have it & since I'm going to the Giants home opener vs Carolina, I might wear it. By the end I was calling him a "wheel spinner", my definition of a QB who can only get you to a certain point, within a game or 2, + or -, around .500.

They already paid him a $5 million bonus & they guaranteed $12 million of his contract. According to the link, cutting him gets the team a $9 million dead cap hit. They're not cutting him & then turning around & signing him to the practice squad because they immediately get dinged an additional $5.33 million on the cap over what they have keeping him & working him into shape on the 53 man roster. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/tampa-bay-buccaneers/leonard-fournette-21745/ On Karlos Williams, you beat me to it. I was going to post a joke that he trained with Karlos in the offseason.

Here is your chance to star in a commercial with QB1

Why don't they just hire Jason Allen: -
If that's the case I'd advise that instead of betting him to win COY you make a better bet: Any team to go 17-0 is +1500 at Caesars. That way if ANY team goes 17-0 you cash. Yes the odds are half as much, but you have 32 chances instead of just 1. WILL ANY TEAM HAVE 17-0 RECORD IN 2022 NFL REGULAR SEASON SEP 8 | 8:00PM Yes +1500 No -4000 TEAM TO GO 17-0 30/1 x $3 =$90

Since Ryan's father is named Norman, if Ryan has a son & names him after his father, that's who.
-
Boettger wasn't on the practice squad either. Ryan Bates
-
Bates was never on a practice squad.

SI cover story on Stefon and Trevon Diggs
Albany,n.y. replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Missed him by 3 picks in the 2nd round. They had already sent their #1 to Minnesota for Stefon. -
All Carolina needs to do is sign Josh Rosen & they can corner the market on top 10 QB disappointments of the 2018 NFL draft. If they then cut Rosen, he can say "Two mistakes were made on the QB depth chart ahead of me, and I will make sure over the next decade or so that they will know that they made a mistake."

Re-watching Old Games-- Bills @ Ravens, Sept 9th, 2018
Albany,n.y. replied to Rocky Landing's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was at that game. I got drenched even though I had a rain pancho. I had one of the NFL approved plastic bags and all my stuff still got wet. I still have a rain damaged program from the game. I wanted Josh starting instead of the QB I called "Nathan Marangi" to start and when Josh came in I went nuts because I finally had something to cheer about. -
