  1. Every time the choice is between 2 Joshs, Rosen always loses.
  2. There's a Tweet posted with 55 guys who were at practice. You can find it & do the math.
  3. Marshawn asked to be traded because the Bills drafted Spiller in the 1st round and cut his playing time.
  4. The big problem I see is that SF went to the NFC championship game last year and is viewed as ready to win now. If Lance struggles, do they act like a team with championship aspirations, or do they accept that they're in a QB rebuild and take the growing pains which might cause them to go from the NFC championship game to out of the playoffs. We've seen coaches bail on young QBs during the drought. In 2005 JP got yanked for Kelly Holcomb & more recently EJ got yanked for Kyle Orton. In each case there was talk of the coach having to make the switch in order not to lose the locker room. So, does SF have the intestinal fortitude to keep sending out a struggling Lance, or do they go for more instant gratification with Garoppolo? Interesting that both Mularkey & Marrone quit after the season that they pulled the young QB.
  5. Jimmy has seen Lance play in preseason & is thinking to himself "I'll be starting by week 3"
  6. I'll side with Schefter's conclusion: The contract contains no-trade and no-tag clauses, assuring Garoppolo will remain in SF this season and have the freedom to leave in 2023.
  7. I guess you missed the no trade part of the contract.
  8. That's only because neither one has ever come out of his mom's basement.
  9. I've never seen a Pierre Kingpin rumor about the Bills before that didn't end up happening,
  10. Martin is the guy who hurt his ankle before the Bills game & couldn't play. I don't know how well he is. Might still be hurt but not bad enough for Denver to have to keep, but we might not want a P with a bad ankle. https://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/broncos_punter_sam_martin_suffers_ankle_injury_during_pregame_warm_ups/s1_127_37793727
  11. Interesting you brought up Al Davis. When Matt Millen was GM (Technically title was CEO) of the Lions he interviewed JaMarcus Russell and called his friend Al Davis & begged him not to take Russell because Russell was so bad in his interview with the Lions.
  12. Maybe times are different now but I remember the 1st thing they stressed in freshman orientation was the age of consent in NYS. They wanted to make sure we knew that if we picked up a local high school girl we could get in big trouble.
  13. I had the Giants radio postgame show on a few minutes ago & the guy said he expects the Giants to cut down to the mid-high 40s so they can pick up guys off waivers.
  14. Just wait until we sign the new punter. 300 page minimum.
  15. He & about 850 other guys who get cut by Tuesday will all be filing a class action suit Wednesday morning. 😄
  16. Beane & McDermott have arrived.
  17. They're in the fieldhouse. If you see part of a field & a door, you've got the right stream.
  18. Presser still hasn't started but I found the right link: https://www.wivb.com/secondary-live-stream/
  19. I wonder if this still exists & offers the best solution until they can get all the legal stuff figured out: https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2014/9/17/6333759/nfl-exempt-commissioners-permission-list-explanation-adrian-peterson-greg-hardy The Minnesota Vikings took advantage of a rarely-used NFL protocol Wednesday, placing Adrian Peterson on the exempt/commissioner's permission list while the running back goes through the legal process after being indicted for child abuse last week. The list, used to allow players who are dealing with significant off-field situations, will allow the Vikings to remove Peterson from their 53-man roster. Peterson will be barred from all team activities in the meantime, which sounds like a suspension except that Peterson will be paid during his leave. The decision whether to pay the player falls on the team. Players placed on the exempt list can be held with or without pay at the team's discretion. Players must consent before being placed on the list, allowing the NFL Players Association to call Peterson's placement a "voluntary leave with pay." As the name of the list suggests, players can only be placed on the exempt/commissioner's permission list with clearance from Roger Goodell. From the NFL Player Personnel Policy Manual: The Exempt List is a special player status available to clubs only in unusual circumstances. The List includes those players who have been declared by the Commissioner to be temporarily exempt from counting within the Active List limit. Only the Commissioner has the authority to place a player on the Exempt List; clubs have no such authority, and no exemption, regardless of circumstances, is automatic. The Commissioner also has the authority to determine in advance whether a player's time on the Exempt List will be finite or will continue until the Commissioner deems the exemption should be lifted and the player returned to the Active List.
  20. If he gets cut, he will have no income in Tennessee & there will be very few NFL openings.
  21. The problem is that if Araiza had sex with her it's still statutory rape even if he wasn't involved in any of the other stuff. If they have any proof they had sex, consensual or not, he's toast.
  22. He's the Giants only punter & is their emergency kicker.
  23. There are currently 3 teams with 2 punters, the Chargers, Titans and Bengals. Also, when Haack signed with Indy, there were about 5 punters trying out. There might also be a punter or 2 from the USFL who is good enough to bring in for a tryout.
  24. Darnold has the durability of Rob Johnson.
  25. Watched too many games with Drew Bledsoe at QB.
