  1. Jimmy has seen Lance play in preseason & is thinking to himself "I'll be starting by week 3"
  2. I'll side with Schefter's conclusion: The contract contains no-trade and no-tag clauses, assuring Garoppolo will remain in SF this season and have the freedom to leave in 2023.
  3. I guess you missed the no trade part of the contract.
  4. I've never seen a Pierre Kingpin rumor about the Bills before that didn't end up happening,
  5. Martin is the guy who hurt his ankle before the Bills game & couldn't play. I don't know how well he is. Might still be hurt but not bad enough for Denver to have to keep, but we might not want a P with a bad ankle. https://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/broncos_punter_sam_martin_suffers_ankle_injury_during_pregame_warm_ups/s1_127_37793727
  6. Interesting you brought up Al Davis. When Matt Millen was GM (Technically title was CEO) of the Lions he interviewed JaMarcus Russell and called his friend Al Davis & begged him not to take Russell because Russell was so bad in his interview with the Lions.
  7. Maybe times are different now but I remember the 1st thing they stressed in freshman orientation was the age of consent in NYS. They wanted to make sure we knew that if we picked up a local high school girl we could get in big trouble.
  8. I had the Giants radio postgame show on a few minutes ago & the guy said he expects the Giants to cut down to the mid-high 40s so they can pick up guys off waivers.
  9. He & about 850 other guys who get cut by Tuesday will all be filing a class action suit Wednesday morning. 😄
  10. They're in the fieldhouse. If you see part of a field & a door, you've got the right stream.
  11. Presser still hasn't started but I found the right link: https://www.wivb.com/secondary-live-stream/
  12. I wonder if this still exists & offers the best solution until they can get all the legal stuff figured out: https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2014/9/17/6333759/nfl-exempt-commissioners-permission-list-explanation-adrian-peterson-greg-hardy The Minnesota Vikings took advantage of a rarely-used NFL protocol Wednesday, placing Adrian Peterson on the exempt/commissioner's permission list while the running back goes through the legal process after being indicted for child abuse last week. The list, used to allow players who are dealing with significant off-field situations, will allow the Vikings to remove Peterson from their 53-man roster. Peterson will be barred from all team activities in the meantime, which sounds like a suspension except that Peterson will be paid during his leave. The decision whether to pay the player falls on the team. Players placed on the exempt list can be held with or without pay at the team's discretion. Players must consent before being placed on the list, allowing the NFL Players Association to call Peterson's placement a "voluntary leave with pay." As the name of the list suggests, players can only be placed on the exempt/commissioner's permission list with clearance from Roger Goodell. From the NFL Player Personnel Policy Manual: The Exempt List is a special player status available to clubs only in unusual circumstances. The List includes those players who have been declared by the Commissioner to be temporarily exempt from counting within the Active List limit. Only the Commissioner has the authority to place a player on the Exempt List; clubs have no such authority, and no exemption, regardless of circumstances, is automatic. The Commissioner also has the authority to determine in advance whether a player's time on the Exempt List will be finite or will continue until the Commissioner deems the exemption should be lifted and the player returned to the Active List.
  13. If he gets cut, he will have no income in Tennessee & there will be very few NFL openings.
  14. The problem is that if Araiza had sex with her it's still statutory rape even if he wasn't involved in any of the other stuff. If they have any proof they had sex, consensual or not, he's toast.
  15. He's the Giants only punter & is their emergency kicker.
  16. There are currently 3 teams with 2 punters, the Chargers, Titans and Bengals. Also, when Haack signed with Indy, there were about 5 punters trying out. There might also be a punter or 2 from the USFL who is good enough to bring in for a tryout.
  17. Then how did she call him from the police station without knowing his name & phone number?
  18. There's a list called the Sexual Offender Registry, which if he's guilty & convicted he'll go on.
  19. That's not true. Terrell Prior was suspended for stuff he did in college: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/7040047/nfl-upholds-terrelle-pryor-5-game-ban-cites-integrity
  20. I'm going to do the prudent thing and reserve judgement until more facts come out. A few years ago the Bills had a player who was accused of sex crimes in the off season (I think it was peeping tom) & it turned out he was completely innocent.
