The QB history of a college's QBs can be really bad-UNTIL IT ISN'T. Example: What QB from Wyoming ever achieved stardom in the NFL before the 2018 draft? There's a long list of Ohio State QB failures in the NFL, but it looks like the best QB from the 2023 draft came from Ohio State. If Carolina used the past history of Ohio State QBs to decide to pass on Stroud, it was a pretty poor decision. The past failures of other players from a university is irrelevant when scouting a player. Same is true the other way. Stanford had produced some pretty good QBs over the years (Elway, Plunkett, Brodie) before Trent Edwards was drafted, but when Trent Edwards was with the Bills, the legacy of Stanford QBs didn't mean anything.

Brett Favre was a 2nd round rookie who barely played behind a veteran starter who made the Pro Bowl that year & then was traded for a 1st round pick a year later. That does not fit the definition of mostly a bust. If so why was a team willing to trade a 1st rounder for a 2nd round pick from the year before? A bust would be Brian Brohm, a 2nd round pick waived after preseason his 2nd season & not claimed after going on waivers & allowed to go on the team's practice squad, or Christian Hackenberg who in 2 seasons was never allowed to play a down & was sent away after those 2 years & failed everywhere he went including spring minor league football.

TV Broadcast Maps and Schedule - NFL Week 7 2023 (October 22)

Giants are automatic in Albany. -
Why? Because some clown in the media made up a story that cannot possibly be true based on the NFL's rules?

What kind of football background do you have?
Albany,n.y. replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall
Here's my football experience: when I was a teenager I was tossing a football to myself in my room, went for a diving catch and my knee (unhurt) put a hole in the wall. It took a few days but my mother found the hole after I put scotch tape over it trying to hide it. I don't remember what excuse I used, but I remember getting yelled at. -
I don't fight, too old.

I'm reporting that the Bills got special dispensation to have their salary cap $100 million higher than any other team. I haven't confirmed it yet, but that what I'm reporting.

So basically, whoever was the 1st in the media to write this garbage didn't know what they were talking about.

The Bills totally screwed up trading Lynch and only getting 2 mid round picks. My take is if they were set at trading him they should have done it before the draft. Instead they kept him when his market value was higher & then drafted C J Spiller with their #1 pick. Once they drafted Spiller, they were announcing to the world that Lynch could be had. Then they cut into his playing time & further devalued him. I remember Buddy Nix admitting he wasn't the smartest guy in the room, and his handling of the whole situation affirmed that.

He got hurt playing on the bad turf in London.

Who will be the first coach fired?
Albany,n.y. replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
Frazier will never get another NFL head coaching job. Chicago will go offense to mentor Caleb. Fields will be traded to whatever team thinks they can turn him around. No team is passing up Williams with the 1st pick unless he refuses to sign. Chicago has Carolina's pick so either with that pick or their own, they're drafting #1. In order to assure Williams signs, they'll either go after the hottest assistant available or bring in a big name proven coach possibly through a trade. -

He's spending all his money on the 30 something woman who was next to him at the game. She's gone as soon as he really runs out of money. -
What is going on with the offensive juggernauts?

Fire all the OCs, that's what the message boards are saying.🤗 -
His parents told him to knock it off with the Tuurod stuff. "We named you Ty-rod and that's how you'll pronounce it son."

Back in the Rob Johnson days the 49ers kept interfering in the end zone right before halftime and the Bills were forced to kick a FG because they succeeded in running enough time off the clock Wade couldn't risk going into the half without scoring on the drive. For the Bills during that time it should have been titled "Quarterback tears"

McD and Daboll hate each other probably 🤣

I'm supposed to believe Dan Marino's brother? 🤣 -
I wasn't surprised the Bills had problems with the Giants last night. Brian Daboll knows Josh better than just about anyone else in the NFL. Assistant coaches who return as head coaches to play the team he was an assistant with seem to overachieve against their former team. I'll cite 2 recent coaches who left NE to coach other teams. Both got fired before their 4th seasons. Matt Patricia was bad in Detroit, yet he still was able to beat NE when the 2 teams met. Brian Flores lasted 3 seasons in Miami & was 4-2 vs NE. Now lets add Josh McDaniels who after yesterday is 2-0 with Las Vegas vs NE. The record vs NE for these 3 recent coaches is 7-2 vs future HOF coach Bill Belichick. So, lets hit the brakes on the Bills falling apart. The last 2 weeks they traveled to London to play a team that had been there the week before & stayed there, then they came back to play vs a former assistant who is very familiar with the Bills. I remember a time when the week after a game in Europe, the NFL gave the teams a bye the next Sunday. I'll attribute the 2 showings to travel and coming back to play a coach who knows them better than just about any other head coach in the league. Until proven wrong, I'm giving the team a break for the past 2 weeks, one of them a victory, which is more than I can say for Bill Belichick's recent games versus his former assistants where he's 0-2 the last 2 times he faced Josh McDaniels and 0-3 the last 3 times he faced Brian Flores. Add in the Patricia loss in 2018 and the last 6 games vs these 3 former assistants Bill is 0-6. The only one he's beaten is Flores in 2 of 6 games over 2019-2021, with 1 win each in 2019 & 2020.

The biggest blunder of the game IMO
Albany,n.y. replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
How many times have you seen Tyrod Taylor come from behind in a final drive? When he was Bills QB I never trusted him to come back late in the 4th quarter. However, if by some miracle he did, I'd rather try to get up by 8 rather than to give him the chance to beat me with a TD & punt with a 5 point lead. -
No Bills game on home TV in Albany next week vs NE
Albany,n.y. replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall
You obviously don't know Albany TV. How much clearer can I state this: THE STATION ALREADY ANNOUNCED IN AN ADVERTISEMENT THAT THE 1:00 GAME NEXT SUNDAY IS GIANTS/WASHINGTON. -
No Bills game on home TV in Albany next week vs NE
Albany,n.y. replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall
It's the Giants. They already advertised the game on Ch 6. I posted this after the advertisement. The Bills game has never been shown when the Giants are on the same time on the same network in the 35 + years I've lived around Albany-NEVER. CBS is carrying the Bills game & the Giants game. Albany will always get the Giants 1st. I go to the OTB where I get my own booth where I can hear the broadcast. The only time I'd go to a bar is for a Thursday night Amazon game or the Peacock game. OTB is closed after 7:30. -
When I looked at the schedule, I thought it was a lock we'd get Bills @ NE on 10/22, but Ch 6 will be showing Washington & NYG next week at 1:00.

Lose one of my suicide entries. -
I'm correcting my statement. When I said Malik Willis has the pocket awareness of Rob Johnson I was wrong. The pocket awareness of Rob Johnson would be a major upgrade for Willis. Sorry Rob, I won't insult you again with statements like that.

Malik Willis has the pocket awareness of Rob Johnson & the sugar highness of rookie Josh Allen.
