Muhsin Muhammad a FA after this season

Restructure Moulds & keep the receiving corps intact. -
The coaches obviously feel that if the game is on the line & Bledsoe has to go out, Matthews gives us a better chance to win. By having JP @ #3, he's eligible to play in the 4th quarter if the game is a blowout & no longer on the line. He's being brought along slowly, nothing wrong with that. Brady was burried his 1st year & won the Super Bowl his 2nd. Culpepper was not used as a rookie & made it to the NFC Championship game in year 2. Trust the coaches, they see these guys in practice every day.

Most likely to be Bills next year!

Losman not mentioned, and I love it!!!

In 1991 they never mentioned Brett Favre when they talked about the 2 first round QBs: Dan McGwire & Todd Marinovich. -
If I was on some team's practice squad & I had a shot from another team that was thin at my position, and I might actually get to play, I'd be signing that contract quicker than you can say only established players get to choose their team. A rookie should never choose a practice squad over an active roster because he wasn't good enough to make any team's roster at the time that he was waived, otherwise he would have been claimed. This opportunity may be a once in a lifetime thing.

In the late 1980s I was complaining about a kicker we had who didn't have a great leg for long field goals. My friends argued that he was automatic from inside the 45 and we have no need to replace him. Then he tried a 47 yarder on grass in the biggest game of his career...you know the rest. Replace Lindell before next season, because I want to win the Super Bowl for a change.

Not good enough for who? It's called rebuilding. If you shortcut rebuilding you get into salary cap hell every few years & suck again. Donahoe is building a championship contender that will not be like the 49ers ended up. Lets compare the 1999-present 49ers to the 2001-present Bills. I guess you would consider 49ers 1999 through 2002 better than what we've done. For the record: In 1999 the 49ers, with salary cap problems & Young's impending retirement sunk to 4-12. So: SF 1999 4-12 Bills 2001 3-13 SF 2000 6-10 Bills 2002 8-8 SF 2001 12-4 (0-1 playoffs) Bills 2003 6-10 SF 2002 10-6 (1-1 playoffs) Bills 2004 7-6 + ? But, after 2002 SF sunk to 7-9 last year & are arguably the worst team in the NFL in 2004. I'm sure you would be a lot happier if we were like the 49ers were by 2002, but TD has a better, long range plan. You may not like the 5 year plan that TD mapped out, but fortunately for everyone he's running things, not you. Show a little patience. If you wait another year I'm sure you will be happy with the results. Here's some evidence that it was a 5 year plan all along: 1) Gave Gregg only a 3 year contract (I believe he wanted Marvin Lewis & had to settle for Gregg because Lewis' lack of interest in the job caught him totally off guard-my guess is Lewis might have been given a better deal that gave him enough time to complete the rebuilding). 1st year coaches don't usually win it all (Gruden, who inhertited a team ready to win and Siefert who inherited a SB champ are the exceptions), 2nd year coaches do (Billick, Bellichick are 2 recent examples). So if he had to bring a new coach in in year 4, he had the extra year he needed. 2) Drafted McGahee in year 3 when it was obvious that he would contribute nothing in his 1st year. 3) Traded up for Losman so that if Drew had problems in year 5 of the reconstruction, he'd have a new starter with a year+ in the system under his belt & could win with either if Drew didn't fall off in 2005. Now, while there are no guarantees that we'll win the Super Bowl next year. I'm feeling confident enough to say See You In Detroit 2006!

Did Shaud Williams seal T. Henry's fate?
Albany,n.y. replied to The_Real's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bengals got a 2nd for Dillon. The Bills got a mid-low 4th for Holmes. The Bills won't get a 2nd but should do as well or better than a mid-low 4th. That's realistic based on previous trades. -

(OT) Anyone Fans Of Last Comic Standing?
Albany,n.y. replied to R. Rich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought Alonzo was the best & I think the only reason that he lost the 2nd season was because Heffron had the set of his life & was also a newlywed & got the sentimental votes because they kept showing his wife. I watched the "3rd season" finale on Comedy Central Alonzo got the big prize -$250,000. I liked Alonzo because he did the most sports related stuff. Best one : I was watching Olympic Gymnastics & didn't realize that I was a pedophile until... London is a trip. Some of his better lines included : I'm the third from the left on the evolutionary chart. I worked at Bed, Bath & Beyond, I was Beyond. It's almost over, You'll never see me again, Thank You. I thought Gulman was very average. My favorite joke was Dave Mordall's about his father confusing the remote for the tv with his cell phone that results in his father hitting redial when he changes the channel. I don't remember exactly how he told it, but the punchline is that every time his father goes to change the channel, he gets a phone call. -
Seems like every week we get shortchanged by this shell of the former Inside The NFL with Len & Nick. How can these idiots not even show this game with a ton of scoring. Every Thursday by 9:00 I'm totally PO'd at this farce.

The Clements to Notre Dame possibility makes me wonder how long we can keep these coaches. Clements-probably going to ND, if not he's on borrowed time before someone makes him a head coach. The ND stories have put this guy on everyone's radar screen. Gray-He's probably here for 1 more year. If we are as good as I think we'll be next year, he's going to be a red hot HC candidate. Krumrie-I hope he stays, but he's on the last year of his contract & sooner or later he's going to get a coordinator position & could be a HC within 5 years. Studesville & Tolbert are young coaches who could get noticed if the Bills continue to develop their RBs & WRs. Fortunately, McNally & April are lifers at OL & ST respectively.

Campbell AND Euhus done for the year?!

Euhus is doubtful http://www.buffalobills.com/team/injury.jsp -
Please let it be Weis. We need continuity & NE needs chaos.

Peters is obviously no longer a TE
Albany,n.y. replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I read the report that Euhus was starting & assumed that Peters wasn't in the TE mix, Then I went to the Bills injury report & Euhus is listed as doubtful, so I guess I jumped the gun for this week, but I stand by my 2005 camp statement, unless Peters has a bustout rest of 2004 at TE. -
For anyone who still thinks Peters future is at TE, the signing of Trafford should put an end to the speculation. He wears 71, has to report in when he's an extra blocker & they have no intention of playing him at TE, otherwise they would not have replaced Campbell with Trafford. Peters will be OL/ST and will have to make the 05 roster as that & not a TE

Wow...Simoncast is really missed more than ever...

I've turned to Bob Matthews evening show on WHAM 1180 out of Rochester. It's the only station I can get in that talks about the Bills (Tonight Felser & Roth are on). The problem is sometimes I can't get the station due to atmospheric stuff. More bad news about Empire: Their website still doesn't have this week's updates (Still on Seattle game) Only good news is that if it's still around after my cable company pulls the plug on 12/29, the sound is streamed on their website -
Congratulations Bobby April

Gregg-0 & Danny Smith had Antonio Brown returning kicks with McGee on the bench last year. -
Parcells must be getting a little POd
Albany,n.y. replied to Rayzer32's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was 22. 24 means we're in the playoffs. -
I'm watching the Giants-Redskins game and one of the guys called Gregg a defensive genius. I certainly remember him getting defensive in his postgame pcs, but I don't remember him as a genius.

Parcells must be getting a little POd
Albany,n.y. replied to Rayzer32's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We'll actually be picking higher because the NFC teams with worse records that make the playoffs will be drafting behind us. Realistically, even if we go 10-6 the odds of the playoffs are low because all our loses are in the AFC. If we don't make the playoffs, the lowest we can pick is 20. Right now we're 18-19th. -
We couldn't have started the season this way
Albany,n.y. posted a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sure we got close the 1st 2 games but: Willis didn't do enough in preseason to beat out Travis. Chances are the extra weeks on the bench were needed to bring him closer to 100% Coy Wire & Izell Reese were our starting safeties. Milloy wasn't ready & Baker was an undrafted rookie who needed more reps. McGee is playing better than Vincent was, so 3/4 of our DBs weren't playing & no coach would have made the change to McGee & Baker opening day. The O line wasn't heathy enough for McNally to work his magic on. Evans & Euhus needed more reps to get to the point they're at now. Euhus will be better next year, If Evans gets better he might as well get a timeshare in Hawaii for February. The firecracker behind Sam Adams hadn't been lit yet & Denney was still starting. Mularkey needed to get some gameday experience as a head coach. This year is getting good, next year will be SUPER! -
No Gramaticas!!! Get an extra pick for Henry, trade down in round 2 & take Nugent in either round 2 or 3. Pick up TE & OL in free agency & win Super Bowl XL.

I'm shocked! Who could have imagined that all that bulk & muscles weren't from hard work in the weight room. Did he know he was taking steroids or was he in the dark like Barry Bonds
