  1. A good example of putting numbers up by default is when we had Robert Foster in Josh's rookie year putting up decent numbers. Whenever I see someone who says that Josh sucked as a rookie, I point out how even as a rookie Josh was making his WRs look better. That's one of the reasons I was sold on Josh long before the people wedded to stats were. Even when he was completing passes in the 50% range (with bad WRs & bad O-Line), the talent was visually there.
  2. When you miss almost 30% of the games the last 2 seasons, it's tough to negotiate a long term contract. The franchise tag may be the only way to go for both sides.
  3. OBJ & Darryl Talley should travel together.
  4. To those serious about going: If you plan on driving on gameday, it's going to be tough getting parking anywhere near the stadium. The cheapest I found was $150 in a hotel garage about 0.3 miles away. Stadium parking is almost unavailable & the few spots I've seen are asking in the thousands. Anyway, here's a link to the $150 parking, it may be the only "reasonably" priced parking. The last time I parked near the Super Bowl site I parked about 5 miles from Met-Life and got shuttle bused to the game. The price was $105 & that indexes up to $130 in today's $s. https://www.groupon.com/tpis/deals/dee53753-f4b8-4f74-9ae8-08c3e932330c/booking?option_id=9f909c45-700b-41e1-8e54-b5939b9e0765 Imagine being in the stadium when the Bills win their 1st Super Bowl-PRICELESS!
  5. Gregg Rosenthal's track record on Bills moves in the early years of the Bills current management is pretty bad. Ironically he picked the best coaching hire of 2017 as the guy the Bills didn't want. Never trust a guy named Gregg who spells his name with 3 Gs. Here is his take on the Bills being losers when they drafted Josh: https://www.nfl.com/news/2018-nfl-draft-debrief-winners-and-losers-from-round-1-0ap3000000929261 Losers Buffalo Bills: The Billstraded out of their No. 10 overall pick a year ago, passing on the chance to draft Patrick Mahomes or Deshaun Watson in favor of amassing draft capital. This season, the Billsused significant draft capital to trade up for quarterback Josh Allen (moving from 12th overall to seventh). The kids would call that hustling backward, especially when Allen has an uphill climb just to surpass previous Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor's level of production. Bills fans will point to this being the first draft for GM Brandon Beane, who was hired last May, but that only emphasizes how tricky it is to come up with a cohesive roster when the GM and coach are always in flux. Allen could prove his skeptics wrong, and his athleticism is unquestionable, but Josh Rosen has clearly displayed a more obvious NFL skill set. Allen is reminiscent of a souped-up version of another Bills first-round quarterback: J.P. Losman, a player with accuracy issues who was a star in the pre-draft season because of his measurables. Losman was taken 22nd overall in the 2004 NFL Draft and proceeded to compile a 10-23 record in Buffalo. Give Beane some credit for his conviction in Allen and talented all-around linebacker Tremaine Edmunds (taken by the Bills at No. 16 overall), who should be a tackle machine in coach Sean McDermott's system. I hope I'm wrong about Allen, because a happy Bills fan base makes for a better NFL.
  6. 3 GMs on seats hotter than Satan's throne and one who already "stepped down to focus on his health".
  7. There have been plenty of great rebuilds in sports. In football they usually come with drafting the right QB.
  8. This doesn't need to happen. $44 million for 2 WRs is too much to pay. Diggs was a #1 WR when he got here. Judging from Pro Bowl appearances is pretty lame.
  9. Anyone who wants to know the context should go to the 7:10 point in this attachment. https://www.google.com/search?q=Xach+wilson+on+2023+QBs+on+Jets+video&oq=Xach+wilson+on+2023+QBs+on+Jets+video&aqs=chrome..69i57j33i10i160l2.28164j0j15&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:50dbdcde,vid:cS79eO_iDa8
  10. If the Jets trade him, they take an $11 million cap hit. Also I doubt the team that trades for him wants the risk of having to pay his 2024 guarantees (over $5 million) without just compensation from the Jets. My guess is the only way he's traded is if the Jets agree to pay his 2023 roster bonus & then agree to send the team that trades for him a 2nd or 3rd round pick, similar to when Houston traded Osweiler to Cleveland.
  11. I think he'll get another year before any decision to cut or keep is made. When someone posted the Josh Allen comparison, I looked up his size & couldn't stop laughing. Then I posted in the thread: more like the next Bo Levi Mitchell, the CFL QB that some people wanted the Bills to sign before Josh was drafted.
  12. I've only bet against the Bills once-I knew the Bills would be resting their starters in the 2019 season finale against the Jets and bet the Jets on the money line in a game the Bills were favored.
  13. When I saw this, I thought it was a joke, mocking Wilson. Then I searched it & found out he actually said this. What's he going to do, shoot spitballs at the veteran when he starts to throw the ball? If Wilson doesn't fix his attitude, pronto, the Jets are going to sign IK Enemkpali to knock some sense into him.
  14. So, when are they going to interview Kevin Murray, Kyler's dad?
  15. Th O-line needs some serious upgrading. The reason Josh has to improvise so much is he is facing a pass rush way too often.
  16. The current odds on the money line (team wins with no points needed) is Dolphins +425. So if someone bets $20 they get back $105.
  17. The guys in their mid 20s on rookie deals -Burrow, Herbert and Lawrence will get paid. Jackson & Tua are question marks due to injuries the past 2 years. If the greatest ability is availability, if I was running a team & someone else wanted to pay either one of these guys, I'd say sayonara. Rodgers 39, Wilson 34, Stafford 34 have a ton of mileage on them. Wilson & Stafford were traded by teams who didn't want to give a high mileage QB another extension and fleeced a trade partner, although in Stafford's case the Rams got a Super Bowl win, but they're starting to look like the last Raiders Super Bowl team that lost to Tampa and fell off the face of the earth. Murray is a unique case of a guy who didn't approach anything near elite, but had the team over a barrel because he was refusing to play without a new contract & could threaten to quit football & go play baseball. He used his status as a #1 overall pick to strongarm the Cards, which based on how bad the Cards were this year, they should have called his bluff, and planned to get a new QB in this year's draft. Instead they have a QB rehabbing his injury with insane dead cap #s the next 2 years. Putting his off field stuff aside, who knows what Watson will be with the rust off. He missed over a season & a half. It's too early for Cleveland to know what they got in the trade for Watson.
  18. They will be looking for a new GM too. There's an experienced GM out there with the initials D.W.
  19. I booked a flight to Phoenix-I can cancel & get a credit I'll use later in the year. A rental car I can cancel for late Friday-Tuesday morning and a motel I can cancel in Casa Grande Arizona, an hour +/- away. I still will have to buy my ticket to the game & find parking in Glendale. Right now the total costs for those 3 items if they make it before parking & ticket is $2,563. I believe the costs will be a lot higher if I wait until after the AFC Championship game. I figure around $6,000 for the ticket & a couple of hundred for parking or park & ride. So around $8,700 grand total, of which $4,900 will be covered by my futures bet to win the AFC which cost $950. So my total out of pocket costs will be around $4,800. If they don't win the AFC my future bet goes down the drain and I don't have any costs since everything is either refundable or in the case of the flight a credit for a future flight. Edit: I had to cancel my original motel because the reviews were horrific. I'm paying an additional $783 for the room and edited above.
  20. Dov Kleiman is wrong. Payton is allowed to talk with other teams with NO's permission. He is not allowed to talk IN PERSON with any team until 1/17.
  21. There was no bus, it was a home game. They used their remote starters on their cars the second they kicked off. When you move a team to a city that never had a team before, how can you seriously expect to have built a loyal fan base after 3 years?
