  1. Richardson is no Josh Allen in spite of the comparisons. Josh started in JC, then after coming back from injury was a 2 year starter who resisted the urge to enter the draft in 2017. So while Josh had 3 years as a starter after high school, and started 26 games, Richardson has had only 1 season as a starter and has started only 13 games. Josh was widely criticized for his 56.3 completion % and Richardson's was even lower at 53.8, but Josh's success has muted many of the critics who would be howling about Richardson being picked at #4. I think he should have stayed another year in college and got more experience than sitting on the bench as a rookie.
  2. I went in 1997 draft 1st day. My parents scheduled their 50th anniversary party the Sunday of the draft (even though their anniversary was in March). They lived in Long Island & didn't have cable and the only way I could see Saturday's draft was to go to it. So I had my father drive me to the Long Island Railroad station in Rockville Centre around 4:30 AM. I got to Penn Station & waited until they were accepting people on the line to get the wristbands at the Felt Forum or whatever they called it then. I got my wristband, went back to Penn Station and waited in the Long Island Railroad passenger waiting area & read some newspapers. While I was reading the papers, security came in & asked for our tickets, since you can only be there if you have a LIRR ticket. Just about everyone but me was homeless & they all got kicked out & I was basically alone in the area reading my papers. Eventually I went back & took my place on line going to the spot my wristband indicated. I have a little piece of cardboard with the NFL logo that says 040, so I guess I was 40th on line. I ended up getting a seat right behind the rows reserved for the press & took a bunch of photos, including one of Antowain Smith after the Bills drafted him. I stayed until the draft ended that day, went to my parents' party on Sunday & when we got back to my parents house I had my sister's husband go on the computer & find the rest of the Bills draft choices who were drafted that Sunday.
  3. It's on the stations that carry Bills Kickoff pregame show on ch 10 in Albany. WIVB in Buffalo WROC in Rochester
  4. I'm so depressed that the NFL hasn't updated this list that I'm immediately going into a darkness retreat for a week.
  5. I was in the hospital in the post surgery area with multiple beds partitioned off by walls & curtains that everyone could hear everything the day of the Indy snow game in December 2017. The game wasn't on local TV in Albany & WGR blacked out the game on androids. After the game was over I put the postgame show from WGR on, on my cellphone. A nurse yelled at me to turn the sound down because it was too loud.
  6. JP Losman. Back in 2004 I used to study the draft a lot more than I now do & I would put together a draft board & draft the same time as the Bills. I "drafted" JP at pick 13 & cheered when the Bills traded up for him. Then I doubled down & brought two pieces of paper to a game, onewith J & one with P & when Bledsoe made a bad play I would chant J P and hold up the letters to match my chant.
  7. He was hired with the instructions "Never talk to Jalen Hurts"
  8. Here's the problem with what Donahoe did vs what Beane did. Donahoe gave himself very little room to trade up if his deal fell through. By trying to trade to 9 with a team that could veto the trade if their player was there gave Donahoe very little wiggle room since Pittsburgh was at #11. He should have started looking to trade up much earlier in the draft. As soon as Rivers went at 4, Donahoe should have been on the phone with every team from 5 down. I suspect he wasn't willing to offer enough-Penny wise, pound foolish. Beane, on the other hand started at 21, moved up to 12 and had a trade in place to move up to 5. Like Donahoe, the team he had the trade with backed out because a certain player was available. However, Beane had enough room to still trade up before either Arizona or Miami could put together a trade up deal & ace the Bills out of Allen. When the Denver trade fell through & Indy wasn't going to trade the pick, Beane still had the ammunition to trade up to 7. Chances are if things got more competitive, Beane knew he had the extra #1 which no other team he'd be competing with had. Beane showed the courage to make something happen, Donahoe didn't.
  9. I watched it last week on MGM + (formerly EPIX). As you say, it's also on Paramount +. So there are at least 2 places to see it if you already are a subscriber. It was OK. The stuff they did wouldn't happen in the real world. I won't give out too many spoilers, but there's no way some of the stuff would happen, like getting into the Patriots coaches box & talking to Brady through his helmet & getting into the game without valid tickets and ending up in a corporate box. Marshawn Lynch had a scene in the movie playing poker. It looks like they took real highlights from the game, the Atlanta choke Super Bowl. For those who hate the thought of watching it because of the Patriots, at the end of the movie they become Tampa Bay fans after Brady signs with the Bucs.
  10. Martin is signed for the next 3 years: https://overthecap.com/player/sam-martin/2246#:~:text=Contract Notes, per game and workout bonuses.
  11. The following guys got 15s : Dan Marino, Donovan McNabb, Jim Kelly & Terry Bradshaw. Is 2 points lower really that bad?
  12. If the Giants sign Hart, I'll know they're just signing anyone who played for Daboll in Buffalo.
  13. If anyone is still scared, go spend a week in total darkness and then realize how nutty Rodgers really is.
  14. Josh has already grossed about $42 million more than Lamar the last 2 years. At the time Josh signed Lamar was not missing games like he has the last 2 years. No matter what he signs for, he won't make up for the fact he could have already pocketed a lot more by now with an agent.
  15. I totally agree. On Facebook I've answered numerous memes that are saying he deserves 100% guarantees that since he only played about 70% of the games, the maximum guarantee should not be greater than 70%. Personally, I think he's very talented, but since the best ability is availability, I would hate to be with a team that is going to pay him all the money he'll end up getting. Until proven otherwise, his team cannot count on him playing more than 70% of their games. That's just not good enough for a franchise QB.
  16. He missed 5 games each of the last 2 regular seasons & 1 playoff game. That's 11 total games, not 15. So, he did not miss 15 games. In fact he hasn't missed 15 games in his entire 5 year NFL career.
  17. Even though he got paid the year he sat out, it worked for Watson.
  18. Turned down Ravens offer of 3 years $133 million fully guaranteed.
  19. After seeing what happened with Peterman & Fromm, developing a rookie frightens me.
  20. They also have both lived well into their 90s until Bud passed yesterday.
  21. I've always blamed Donahoe for not taking Roethlisberger, who he wanted. At the time he said he couldn't get someone to trade with to get ahead of Pittsburgh, but I've always said he didn't offer enough. On the other hand, I believe Manning & Rivers were out of reach, because he would have had to trade up to 2 or 3 to spoil the Giants/Chargers trade & that may not have been realistic.
  22. I hope you are a victim of a bad auto spell corrector.
  23. All you need is there to be one QB in the class if you're drafting #1 and you pick the right one. Trading up from 9 to 1 greatly increases your chances of getting a QB in a weak group. At #9 you're settling. At #1 nobody else can get your guy. Pretty smart move by Carolina if it's a bad class with possibly only 1 or 2 viable QBs.
