  1. Because this season is a rebuild year in Arizona & they prefer to take the cap hit this year instead of extending some of it to the 2024 season, where they hope to have a better team. They really have no idea how long Murray will be out and how effective he'll be in 2023 (Think Tre White 2022)
  2. Here are 2 reasons why the Bills wouldn't have re-signed Araiza; 1) Martin got a lot of money & it would be a dead cap hit of $2,265,000 if he got cut before playing this season. So at least for 2023 he's the punter. https://overthecap.com/player/sam-martin/2246 2) Martin is a proven veteran holder. Araiza is still a question mark as a holder.
  3. It's a lot easier for fans who never go to games and only watch on TV to switch teams. I've been to 264 Bills games and it's way too late for me to get another team.
  4. Giants fans #1 sidekick is Scott Norwood's Super Bowl XXV wide right. What? Too soon?
  5. I don't get the same MSG as Buffalo, so One Bills Live is rarely shown in Albany. So, since I don't watch the Knicks & Rangers, MSG isn't so great where I live.
  6. That's about my schedule. Sometimes I go 3 weeks. I laughed when I saw the OP asking how many days a week. This week it's zero.
  7. The 2020 line, when D. Williams had a good season at RT, was the best Allen has had, Hopefully, the 2023 line will become the vest so far. One of the things I point to about the 2018 season is that the Bills had a bad O-line & possibly the worst group of receivers on a Bills team in many years. In spite of that, Josh led the team to 5 wins in 11 starts (it could have been 6 if Peterman hadn't been put in the Houston game after Josh got injured) and made a pedestrian WR like Robert Foster look like a solid NFL player. Even as a raw rookie, he was elevating the talent around him. Yes, he made some bad decisions at times, but the good far outweighed the bad (at least IMO).
  8. This shows the difference between fans who don't see the games & rely on stats and those who watch every game. The most critical people in the media were national guys who rely on stats & highlights and never saw a full Bills game in 2018. There were also plenty of fans who didn't like the pick & were ignoring those flashes of brilliance. I remember on another board telling a Josh critic "You don't know how to watch football".
  9. On Jim Kelly's 27th birthday, he had played only 1 year in the NFL and didn't play in a Super Bowl until he was 30.
  10. 1971-1971: 1967 Plymouth Fury 1971-1978: 1971 VW Beetle 1978-1986: 1979 VW Rabbit 1986-1988: 1986 Mazda 323 1988-2001: 1988 VW Golf 2000-2010: 2001 Audi A4 2010-Present 2011 Mercedes C300 The only used car I ever bought was my 1st one. It was so bad I never bought another used car again. The only car that I didn't drive until it needed too many repairs to keep was the 1986 Mazda 323. I hated the car & traded it in after 2 years. It didn't help that it was stolen in 1987 & found by the police 2 days later when I was hoping I'd never see it again. The thieves burned out my clutch, left cigarette burns in the seats & broke my steering wheel lock which I obviously had to replace.
  11. The new left guard who is so good that all you have to do is call him by his 1st name & everyone knows who you're talking about.
  12. There's a new qualification for 2023: Wingman.
  13. So you would have drafted a QB who wouldn't play a down in the 3rd round? Glad you're not the GM.
  14. Aaron Rodgers will become the Jets version of Vontae Davis. Here's what will be written: During the September 11, 2023, game against the Buffalo Bills, Rodgers removed himself from play during the first half, stating he was "done." According to a statement made by head coach Robert Saleh, it was not immediately clear whether he meant to retire or simply leave that particular game. Following the game, Rodgers released a statement confirming his retirement. Rodgers' decision was initially not taken well by his teammates and later lampooned in the media. Rodgers later commented that his abrupt retirement was due to an abrupt realization that football was no longer what he was meant to be doing, and that he had moved to South America. He was never again seen in the USA.
  15. Wow! Once you get past the top 10, there aren't a lot of good QBs left. 2/3 of the league's teams should be looking to upgrade.
  16. Whatever Foles had left in the tank has been gone for years now. He should just go home, count his money, look at his Super Bowl ring and be a full time dad.
  17. When you have to keep telling others they're wrong, it's time to take a look in the mirror and see the one who is really wrong.
  18. This: https://www.timesunion.com/sports/article/albany-empire-miss-payroll-suspend-top-players-18000358.php#:~:text=The Empire organization has not,he has left the team. A missed payday, several suspensions and a misdemeanor charge has clouded the immediate future of the Albany Empire, the city’s arena football team. The Empire organization has not paid players or coaches since April 21, according to one of the team’s top players. Coach Damon Ware confirmed the lack of payment and said Monday that he has left the team. Ware, along with wide receiver Darius Prince, quarterback Sam Castronova, lineman Brandon Sesay, defensive back Dwayne Hollis, linebacker Nick Haag and lineman Melvin Hollins were among the Empire personnel who did not receive room keys for the team’s Albany Holiday Inn hotel. The acting team president said the players have been suspended due to an incident on the bus returning from their weekend game in North Carolina. The team is supposed to be paid the Friday following each week’s game; no one received direct deposits on April 28 ahead of Sunday’s game, and the team played the Carolina Cobras in Greensboro, N.C., without pay, one player said, speaking on condition of anonymity. Alberony Denis, the Empire’s acting president, said the lack of payment was due to issues with the payroll processor, which had put a hold due to a problem created when former team owner Mike Kwarta and most of the former front office left following Kwarta’s sale of his ownership stake to former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown, who now owns 95 percent of the team. The team has paid the processor, Denis said, and the players were told they would be paid Monday afternoon. Brown, whose career has been marred by controversy, joined the team as co-owner in March with father Eddie Brown, a former Albany Firebirds player, coming onboard as vice president of operations.
  19. As long as there have been televised drafts, the opinions have always been relevant. Things existed before the internet, whether you believe it or not. In fact, many of those things were recorded on videotape or printed in newspapers, magazines and books.
  20. Guys with criminal records often are classified as undraftable & unsignable by teams. Some teams had Richie Incognito on their blacklist due to all his problems in college, however all it takes is one team to draft a guy for him to get in the league. In the past teams like the Bengals & Seahawks were notorious for drafting guys with off the field problems. Lately the Chiefs have had some very questionable picks who they viewed as bargains because other teams wouldn't touch them.
  21. I remember in 1989 when the Jets picked Jeff Lageman Mel Kiper said the Jets don't know how to use the draft. Also when the Bills drafted John Fina they brought up the point that Kiper didn't even do a write-up in his draft report. I also remember John Fina defending himself. Both Lageman & Fina had decent careers. There was also the big argument on TV between Kiper & Indy GM Bill Tobin where Tobin basically said Kiper knows nothing.
  22. The other owners bailed & now Brown is the majority owner of the Empire. https://cbs6albany.com/news/local/leaders-leave-albany-empire-antonio-brown-assumes-95-ownership#:~:text=ALBANY%2C NY (WRGB) -,95% of the team's ownership. ALBANY, NY (WRGB) - Former majority owner of The Albany Empire Mike Kwarta has announced he is no longer affiliated with the team. His departure means former NFL player Antonio Brown and his father will assume 95% of the team's ownership. The von Schiller family owns 5% of the team. The release from Kwarta calls them "the only local ownership remaining."
