  1. If I ever start taking Bills' football as seriously as some of these Steeler fan's do, please slap me. First the guy who had the Steelers' funeral and now this guy who gets a heart attack when a Steeler fs up. Anyone who takes his football serious enough to get a heart attack has some really messed up priorities.
  2. Marv cut Haslett in 1987 and is a lot closer to Kent Hull, who Haslett threw under the bus. Plus Haslett was a scab 1987 LB for the NY Jets. Haslett would have had a better chance with anyone but Marv.
  3. So, in other words, Ray Handley just got some new neighbors.
  4. You'd have to change your name to Clam Painting-Yuk!
  5. Just like GW, Kay has learned a lot from his 1st head coaching job and is ready to become the 3rd head coach in Bills history to return for Act II. Don't give Ralph any ideas, Kay would come cheap.
  6. Begin???? There have been a lot of "Dark Days" in the history of the franchise: Late 60s. 70s before & after Saban, Mid 80s. Where have you been?
  7. Lou Saban. The team can say about Ralph, Marv & Lou: They're not old, they have 250 years of life experience.
  8. Haslett will be crawling on his hands & knees to coach this team.
  9. Grimm has been mentioned for head coaching jobs even though he's not a coordinator. Maybe he's really here to be the head coach if Mularkey gets off to a rough start and Marv doesn't go back to coaching.
  10. I hear we've offered a 4th to Houston if they name Gray DB coach, a 3rd if they name him D coordinator, and a 2nd if they name him head coach-we have the same offer on the table to the Jets, & since we play them twice a year, Marv is hoping the Jets grab that extra #2.
  11. Dickerson has been recommending Levy for weeks. I suspect he found out about it & did it to make himself look good.
  12. No team has ever made it to the Super Bowl unless it was within 2 wins of best record in the conference. NE would have to become the 1st. The stats show a perfect 78 for 78 using this method to eliminate teams. It will be 80 for 80 after this year & NE will not make it to the Super Bowl.
  13. If one is to believe your logic, Jerry Gray will never get a head coaching job. I believe your logic.
  14. Here's something from another article that's on the TBD front page: Gray said his chances are helped by the success this season of Chicago's Lovie Smith, Cincinnati's Marvin Lewis and Carolina's John Fox -- all former defensive coordinators who have led their teams into the playoffs. Earth to Jerry: Those guys all led their teams into the playoffs (and beyond) when they were coordinators. I don't think a coordinator whose teams were 0/5 in getting into the playoffs is helped by the likes of the men listed above. Do something as a coordinator, other than leaving upon your team's request and maybe YOUR success would help you get a head coaching job.
  15. The fact that by interviewing Jerry Gray, a team can meet the NFL's minority candidate interview qualifications is a sham. If the NFL is serious, there would be a list of QUALIFIED candidates that a team must choose from to interview. If, in addition, they want to interview a guy who is so unqualified that he's about to be fired (or resigns) as a coordinator, they can do so. But to have Jerry Gray as the guy who you interview as your minority candidate is disingenuous at best and basically flaunting the rules at worst.
  16. I just thought I'd get a head start rooting against NE in a game they could (and will) actually lose.
  17. Vikings | Childress chosen as new head coach; must now reach contract Thu, 5 Jan 2006 16:35:10 -0800 Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports the Minnesota Vikings have chosen Brad Childress, formerly the offensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles, as their new head coach. The two sides have begun negotiations and as long as they can work out contract terms, the team is expected to name him their head coach Friday, Jan. 6, at a press conference.
  18. http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews...ws/13559082.htm Robertson links Sharon stroke, God's wrathSONJA BARISICAssociated PressNORFOLK, Va. - Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson suggested Thursday that Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's stroke was divine punishment for "dividing God's land." "God considers this land to be his," Robertson said on his TV program "The 700 Club." "You read the Bible and he says `This is my land,' and for any prime minister of Israel who decides he is going to carve it up and give it away, God says, `No, this is mine.'" The Anti-Defamation League issued a statement urging Christian leaders to distance themselves from the remarks. Robertson made similar comments as the Gaza withdrawal occurred, it said. "It is outrageous and shocking, but not surprising, that Pat Robertson once again has suggested that God will punish Israel's leaders for any decision to give up land to the Palestinians," said Abraham H. Foxman, national director of the group, which fights anti-Semitism. "His remarks are un-Christian and a perversion of religion. Unlike Robertson, we don't see God as cruel and vengeful."
  19. Nobody has been "officially" removed yet, but Butch Rolle has a better chance of being at OBD next year than Brad Roll.
  20. Anderson was our best DT at the end of the season. He's not a bust. However, Kelly Holcomb was the best QB at the end of the season.
