Last year I paid around $3,900 in property taxes on a $200,000 home in the suburbs of Albany, that includes a STAR exemption. After the state's tax rebate, I paid slightly less than $3,500. The assessment is $179,000 because the last revaluation had a 7/1/05 valuation date. Now if the house was in the City of Albany, my taxes and water bill would have been higher.

Why pay an average of $400 per person per regular season game (because pre-season games are worthless IMO) when you can get a ticket to a Bills game for around $50 per person and the whole trip, including parking runs less than $100. You can go to 4 games for the price of one & have change left in your pocket. The rich Canadians they expect to buy the tickets didn't get rich by being stupid.

50-50, a totally baseless statement. The attached tables indicate it's much lower than that. According to the tables, McCain is expected to live another 12 years. Someone who reviewed the tables in a posting based on them pegged it at less than 14% for a one term and around 25% for a two term McCain-I can't verify that math. Never let reality stop you from posting that a 71 year old guy is on the verge of death. A week or 2 ago I posted that Frank Coyle of Draft Insider's Digest had Willis as a marginal 1st rounder, thought he overran & missed too many tackles and had Posluszny rated 22nd best & Willis 35th best palyers in the draft. He track down Arkansas running back sensation Darren McFadden on the perimeter, outrunning him through traffic to make the stop on the outside for a loss. He also chased down LSU wideout on a flanker reverse after flowing with the play, displaying incredible recovery speed to outrun the speedy receiver down for a loss and covering the wideth of the field twice. At the Senior Bowl, he had a terrific week and during the game once again displayed the consistency that makes him a blue chip prospect. He made both the first and last tackle of the game to complete an outstanding career. Ole Miss coaches rave about him combining leadership toughness and dedication over his career. At the Ole Miss workout, he had two sub 4.4 times in his 40 yard sprints with one NFL scout timing him in in 4.35. He also had a sub 4.4 short shuttle and 7.10 three-cone drill. He stood on his numbers from the NFL Combine for the rest (see Scouting report below for details). He completed an outstanding workout and postseason that probably has elevated him into the top 10-12 selections in April. "

The only RB I'm sold on is Peterson. Trade up to 5 or 6 and get him if Cleveland passes on him.

The Brett Favre story goes on from there. Ron Wolfe was the Jets director of player personnel in 1991 and had Farve rated the best player in the draft. The Jets didn't have a 1st rounder because they had selected WR Rob Moore in the supplemental draft the previous year. The Jets desperately tried to trade up & get Farve as the 1st round was coming to an end. Farve slipped to the second round and Atlanta, picking 1 pick ahead of the Jets, selected Favre. The Jets, with a huge need for a QB of the future, went with the next guy they had on their QB board-Browning Nagle (who ended up with the Arena league's Buffalo Destroyers). Obviously it didn't end there because the next year Wolfe had moved on to be the Packers' GM, Farve fell out of favor with Jerry Glanville and Wolfe gladly traded the Packers' #1 in 1992 for Favre.

Just like Butler, Donahoe's last draft is looking like a disaster: 1-No pick 2-Roscoe Parrish 3-Kevin Everett 4-Duke Preston 5-Eric King 6-Justin Geisinger 7-Lionel Gates King, Geisinger & Gates are already gone. Parrish is nothing more than a 3rd or 4th receiver and return guy. Everett has done nothing and is in danger of getting cut. Preston started last year but has already been mentioned (along with Everett) as a guy who is in a make or break year and he faces stiff competition at RG since 3 guys (Walker, Pennington & Butler-all Marv picks)are in the right tackle/guard mix and all might be ahead of Preston in spite of his place on the current depth chart. My guess is one of the losers of the 3 tackles ends up at RG. The possible mix being RT Pennington, RG Walker; RT Walker RG Butler or Pennington. I wouldn't be shocked if Merz beats Preston out for the last OL spot. Both play G/C.

I don't see a QB being taken in this draft. An undrafted free agent or 2 is the route the Bills will take. If these guys & the ones in Europe don't pan out, they'll pick up a young QB off of waivers like they did with Travis Brown years ago.

Culpepper may be all done. He did not get medical clearance for mini camp & may not be ready for camp in late July. Any team that signs him will PUP him going into camp. I wouldn't be surprised if he sits out 2007 and tries for a 2008 comeback. By then, it might be all over for him. With all the progress in surgery, sometimes a knee injury still becomes a career ender.

The biggest problem I had was the 1st press conference where one member of the team said she was scarred for life. She is either mentally fragile if she believes this, or, more likely, someone told her to say that. I'd like to know who fed them their talking points before that press conference was held.
