I get it in ok, but it sounds tinny. It's been that way for a week or longer.

I like them both. Just picked up Showtime in time for Dexter season 3. I saw season 1 on CBS & 2 on DVD. Californication is pretty good too, but is a totally different style than Dexter. I was home sick last Wednesday & watched 7 episodes on Showtime On Demand in the afternoon. It's not for anyone who gets offended by sexual situations on tv, but you can guess that from the title. They had some really good subplots involving various family & career situations. I also like the fact that Showtime has Inside The NFL. When I called up my cable company & was told it was only $8.30 more a month to add to my existing cable package, I was sold on it.

It's because a lot of Bills fans on this board wanted Favre. Here's what I said in post 59 of the attached thread, I stand by that as well as post 16 & my others, especially 76 & 81, but I've moved the Super Bowl timetable up by a year: Because you'll screw up the salary cap so badly you'll have no $ left to re-sign Evans, make Peters happy, extend other young players, and be able to afford your top rookies without releasing some players. Not to mention that you're not letting the team grow together with Edwards. This team can make the playoffs this year and the Super Bowl next year without Favre. Why bring him in and risk him playing this year, while the team may need one more free agent & draft class to reach the top, then pull the same crap he's done in Green Bay & "retire" again? Plus, do you really think GB is going to release him with no strings? It's not going to happen-they'll want compensation-further weakening the Bills long term goals. I just looked up the schedule for Sunday on WRGB's website. The game is on at 4, local programming at 1. They learned their lesson.

Sorry-You're wrong. I was at the game & I saw the play from the endzone that the ball was thrown towards. I saw the pushoff & as soon as the flag was thrown I told Petrino that it's on Evans. I also watched the replays on the scoreboard-the same ones you saw on your tv. Whoever was manning the cameras missed the play. The timing and angles occurred AFTER Evans had pushed off. So if you're at the stadium and you're watching Evans, you see the entire play. If you're just watching the replay, the replay starts too late for you to see the obvious push off that gained Evans the separation. I had to explain to the people around me who weren't paying close attention to the full play, that the camera didn't show the pushoff. Clearly the conclusion you drew from the replay was the correct conclusion from what was shown. However what was shown didn't include the infraction. So please don't say being at the game counts less-we see more than you do, see what you do on the scoreboard replay & don't have to rely on a late camera to draw a conclusion.

Will someone from the "he can't play in bad weather" crowd please explain why 1) He performed so well against Miami in bad weather last December & 2) When Fairchild finally took the handcuffs off in the blizzard in Cleveland he was crisp & accurate in his downfield passing on the drive in the final minute. You continue to ignore these facts and just keep up your rant, it's time to show some guts & address this. (I won't be here to see your response until Monday because some of us have a game to attend, where we can judge the weather far better than someone with a stat sheet)

I was confident enough on August 17th (after the Pittsburgh game) to spend $107 that locks me into 2 Super Bowl tickets at face value after the $107, if the Bills get in, otherwise I lose the $107. I was also confident enough so that when Whitner guaranteed playoffs & a guy at work was mocking Whitner, I bet him & another guy who was around at the time he was mocking Whitner $10 each that the Bills would make the playoffs.

He wasn't outplayed in the Miami romp-In Bad Weather, so you're wrong, he didn't lose them all. Also the 2 ridiculous weather games you site were against better TEAMS. That's because you are a fan who has to look for negatives when they don't exist. Anyone who says he can't play in poor weather has no real data to back it up. Just look at the QB stats on the other side of those games and realize there are certain conditions that NO QB can play well in. According to your logic Ben Roethlisberger can't play in bad weather because last week the Steelers couldn't score more than 10 points because it was rainy & windy. I remember another night game, 11/26/07 when nobody scored until 1:19 when Pittsburgh beat Miami 3-0. Therefore you should be all over the Roethlisberger can't play in bad weather bandwagon. By the way 2 weeks later, the Bills, led by Trent Edwards, beat Miami 38-17 with Trent Edwards throwing 4 TD passes-IN POOR WEATHER!

Even if I don't think he's very good, JP with 30 NFL starts is a much better fit to beat teams like the Browns, Chiefs, 49ers, Dolphins & Jets, the teams we play in weeks 11-15, than Hamdan who has never started an NFL game. JP is an insurance policy worth more than a 2nd day pick-the best he would yield. If Brett Favre's trade started at a conditional 4, nobody is giving the Bills a 3rd for about 80% of one season of JP. If JP was signed for 3 more years, then they'd have a better shot at your pipe dream.

Another reason stats are so meaningless. Elway was a lifetime 56.87% passer. JP Losman is a career 59.14 % passer. So according to your logic, JP Losman is better than a 1st ballot Hall of Famer-GTFO.

Looking back, Mularkey may have been a lot smarter than we thought. It's not mismanagement when a coach recognizes a guy is a bust & that player is hurting the team's chances of winning games. The Vikings can win more games with Frerotte and to a coach who is not entrenched, that's what matters. Funny thing about bad play-calling. When you have a QB who is a bust, the OC gets a lot of heat. First Gilbride was an idiot when JP couldn't cut it (yet he went on to become the OC of the Super Bowl Champs), then Fairchild was hated in Buffalo. Now Turk Schonert is a genius because JP is on the bench. If the Vikings had Edwards instead of Jackson nobody would be questioning the OC in Minnesota. Henne was looking good in preseason, and Ratliff was the best QB behind Favre-he was tons better than Clemens (with two Es). If the Jets hadn't acquired Favre, Ratliff would have been their best QB, not Pennington, Clemens, or Ainge. Albany had the Jets preseason games on TV and Ratliff was lighting it up.

That's not true. Miami drafted Chad Henne in the 2nd round and is developing him to be their QB of the future. In fact, if Miami doesn't start winning, Henne will be starting very soon. The Jets don't have the guy they planned to replace Pennington working out, because Clemens is a bust (to JP fans that means "he just needs more time for the light to come on & the Jets will regret letting him go"). But, they may have found a gem in an undrafted FA from last year who made their roster after spending last season on their practice squad, Brett Ratliff. Also, the Jets have 2008 draftee Erik Ainge.

They don't even suspend players who can pass a drug test after being arrested for coke. Matt Jones wouldn't be playing if the NFL was suspending guys who just get arrested.

Years ago, before IR became a season ender, teams would stash guys on IR who they didn't want to waive but weren't ready to play at the beginning of their rookie years. The inactives were part of a compromise that ended player stashing since if you put a guy on IR, his season ends and unless you're the Patriots, he's prohibited from practicing. The Polian Bills were masters of this art. they put late round guys like Carlton Bailey & Keith McKeller on IR while they got them NFL ready by mid-season. McKeller played in strike games while on IR. One time the move bit them. They stashed CB Martin Mayhew on IR for the entire season & Washington scooped him up on plan B. Polian was livid according to the news stories when washington "stole" Mayhew.
