The Oakland Coliseum is a dump. It is so bad that both the Raiders & A's (deal reached to move, technically still Oakland but not for long) went to Las Vegas for new stadiums. When the Bills signed Tyrod I was convinced that he would start because of the rave reviews from his Ravens teammates. I was happy that he beat out EJ & Cassel & figured he was the best we could do. I actually mail ordered a T-Mobile tee shirt from the internet and wore it in the house while watching games in 2015 and wore it to the 2016 opener in Baltimore. By 2017 I was calling him " a wheel spinner" because as long as he was the Bills QB, we'd be spinning our wheels in mediocrity. Obviously Beane felt the same way and went for it all in the 2018 draft. Tyrod was a good bridge QB until we got someone in management who could recognize QB talent in the draft. That was not Nix or Whaley. The bottom line is Tyrod is a top level backup who can win 8-10 games if everything goes right, but if he's your starter he's a guy you'll always be looking to replace.

The Bills have had 16 head coaches not counting interim coaches during the Super Boel era. Only Saban, Knox, Levy and McDermott lasted at least 4.2 seasons. Imagine if we had just let those other 12 guys coach long enough to make a Super Bowl. They just left too soon. How can we have expected more Super Bowls when 75% of the coaches weren't allowed to coach long enough to get there? Considering how often coaching turnover happens in the NFL, the 4.2 years to make a Super Bowl in the OP is total nonsense. It's taking data that is beyond meaningless & spitting out a conclusion. I'd like to know how many HCs have made the playoffs 5 of their 1st 6 seasons. I bet the list is pretty small. How about a list of how long it took a coach to make the playoffs 5 times. If you take every head coach in the Super Bowl era, I bet the % is very small since the majority don't even last 5 seasons.

This sounds like the best advice in this thread. Nowadays, when I go to games I stay at a friend's house in Depew, not far from the airport and go back after the game. I get there early enough to park in the lot on California closest to Southwestern (going from Transit, after it turns into Southwestern I make a left at the corner light on to California). I go all the way on Southwestern/Transit since they live off Transit. The lot can fill up fast, so if you're a late arrival, you're toast. Another possibility is in a current stadium side lot on Southwestern between the stadium & California, but you have a lot of pedestrians making it hard to turn right on Southwestern. Another possibility is the stadium lot on Southwestern if you get there early enough to park in the 1st or 2nd row closest to the exit. Park on the northeast side of the lot (left after the parking attendants scan the parking pass) so it's an easy right hand turn out. I used to do that when I was younger & I could run out of the stadium to the car-I also used to drive back to Albany after the game, so I had to get out quickly. Also, it depends on how the game is going. If a lot of people leave in the middle of the 4th quarter, all the roads will be jammed if you wait until the end. The fastest I've gotten out of the stadium was games that ended on a final kick or overtime because I could outrun the other fans & when that happened the roads were clear enough to go Southwestern north, left to the 219 & the 219 to I-90. Under no circumstances should you wait 10 minutes after the game. All that does is lets the other people get to their cars and get ahead of you on the road. I'd recommend the OP puts on WGR's postgame show after a home game before they go to the game & listen to the traffic reports. They'll get a pretty good idea of how the roads jam up after the game. There were plenty of games it took 45 minutes to an hour for me to get to the Depew toll booths on the Thruway whether I took Southwestern/Transit all the way to the Thruway via Transit, or went 219 to 90. The good news is, even if it takes an hour, if the game ends at 4:15, they'll get to the airport in plenty of time.

I bought a flight to Phoenix, booked a rental car, bought a parking pass near State Farm Stadium, and booked a motel in Casa Grande for the Super Bowl last January. By the 4th quarter of the Bengals game I was cancelling the flight (got a credit for a future flight-used most of it to book a flight to California later this year), rental car & motel reservation. I ended up getting a credit from Groupon for the parking but since most of the stuff on Groupon is trash & I had spent $150 on the parking, I cashed the parking credit in for a refurbished I-Pad I never use & 50 AA batteries which might last long enough to end up in my estate.

Before McDermott, no Bills coach without prior pro football head coaching experience succeeded as Bills head coach. The most successful Bills head coaches before McDermott were all retreads. Now one reason may have been that no hot assistant wanted to work for Ralph when there were other options and other teams were paying more for the hot assistants than the Bills. But the bottom line is that in the 63 year team history only one 1st time head coach promoted from the assistant ranks has had any success. So, if anyone wants to fire McDermott, be VERY careful what you wish for.

The main reason Albany doesn't support minor league teams is because there are a lot of us, me included, who would rather travel to NYC, NJ, or Boston & see major league teams, than waste our time watching an inferior product. In my case I have lived in Long Island & Buffalo & I would rather travel and watch the real thing. I'm too spoiled to go to minor league baseball ( I went to 1 Bison game at the Rockpile years ago just to see the stadium after The Natural renovations.). I used to go to the Firebirds games when they were in the top Arena League. The current league the Empire was in is far inferior to the old Arena league. The only minor league baseball game I went to in Albany was an all star game in the old Colonie Yankees days when I 1st moved here & I was talked into going-there were too many bugs flying around the stadium & I never went back.

I liked Tulsa King and Mayor of Kingstown, but they're not worth paying for when there's nothing else I watch on there. I have Showtime already as part of my TV package so I have no incentive to buy the combined package. If the show fails to get enough viewers on The CW, the only place left to go will be NFL Network- they used to show episodes after they aired on Showtime.
