  1. JP is not going to re-sign with the Bills unless it is after he tests the free agent market and gets no offers to be given a chance to compete for the starter's job. That could happen, and then JP, sporting his Super Bowl ring, courtesy of Trent Edwards, might just want to stay with a winner.

  3. Not senile, just thinking with the little head.
  4. I hear Sarah Palin read an advanced copy of Lynne Spears' book "Mother of the Year" and recommended teenage pregnancy to her daughter.
  5. Once again we hear the nonsense that fans are getting ripped off because the NFL makes ticket holders pay full price for pre-season games. Today it was from Bob Matthews. Funny, it comes from a guy who probably hasn't had to buy a ticket in years. The reality of the Bills ticket pricing is that the preseason game was discounted big time for most ticket buyers. For season ticket holders, there's a 10% discount on the entire season (at least my seat is 10%). My ticket costs $360 for 8 games. The price on the ticket says $45. But without season tickets, it would be $50. So if I didn't buy seasons, but only purchased the 7 regular season games, I'd pay $350. Doing the math, the real price of my pre-season game is $10. That's 80% off the regular season price. In addition, it was kid's night. That means anyone who bought tickets for their kids also didn't pay anything near full price. If there were 35,000 no-shows as Matthews claims, chances are pretty darn good that the adults who brought their kids also didn't pay full price. Like many season ticket holders, I give my preseason tickets away. Many of the parents at kids night were most likely either season ticket holders paying 20 cents on a dollar to go, or recipients of tickets from a friend who holds season tickets. Now it may be true that other, less fan-friendly teams do charge full price-you'd expect no less from the Snyders or the Joneses, but if you're writing about this, don't use the Bills game as an example-Bob.
  6. Take a look at the 53 man roster. Assuming Peters shows up soon, this is the deepest roster we've had in a long time. Within the next 2 years this is an elite team, possibly even this year.
  7. Murphy to IR, book it. If Peters doesn't report, Murphy to IR when they pick up a TE. I wouldn't be surprised if they're looking for a veteran TE off waivers since Royal is the only one currently on the roster who will be active next Sunday. Then either Fine goes on IR or they cut a receiver if Peters has reported.
  8. More like Harriet Meiers. If she was pro-choice or the cons were unsure, they would be blocking her nomination in the name of being unqualified. Since she fits their agenda, she's a "great choice".
  9. Then Robert is just flat out blind.
  10. It's Bryant Mckinney, not Ryan Denney. You need some friggin glasses!
  11. It wasn't Steve Dils, who was picked 97th that year, it was Steve Fuller, who was picked in the 1st round at pick 23 who was the QB that Walsh wanted. We had his pick from the OJ trade so he didn't have a 1st rounder and missed out on Fuller. The 49ers didn't pick until 29th. He settled for Montana at pick 82.
  12. I agree, that's why I keep arguing with the "stat boys" who say they're not sold on Edwards based on last years stats. I've been watching football for over 40 years & sometimes you can see the greatness before you get the stats.
  13. No. Injury has to be a pre-existing condition at the start of camp.
  14. No joke-I really expect this team to be among the elite teams in the NFL. Anything short of winning the AFC will be a disappointment.
  15. Since Brady hasn't played, and he makes everyone around him better, while Cassel might be playing himself out of the NFL and is probably making the starters look worse, I wouldn't be writing off NE yet. We know they have problems on D, but they'll still win a lot of shootouts as long as Brady is there. I still think we can win the division, but it's going to take us winning 12 games to do it, not because NE is going to fall off the face of the earth.
  16. The last 4 years the Colts have stunk in August and came out winning big in September & October. That's what happens when you have a top QB who can carry a team who doesn't play much, (or at all) in preseason. Preseason means nothing other than individual player evaluation. The best example is the year the Jets went undefeated in preseason & then went 1-15 when it counted.
  17. How well do you know Ralph? Were you his dinner guest tonight?
  18. Why not let this season play out, evaluate Trent Edwards after the season instead of projecting possible failure before game 1, and don't project a player who might not even enter this year's draft as a possible pick for the Bills.
  19. Polian once had Bruce Smith followed.
  20. There is no such thing as hell, it's a metaphor for the center of the earth. Hell is not even recognized by all religions.
  21. The Patriots will get off to a fast start because the 1st 3 weeks they have KC at home, Jets on the road & Miami at home. If they lose any one of these games, the end is near, although we might have to wait until the playoffs to write them off. I'd love for the final game to be for the AFC East. Can you imagine the Bills & Pats tied with the final game at the Ralph? It would be pandemonium! I say we're both 11-4 going into that game.
  22. Night games always get less coverage than day games because they are running up against printing deadlines & don't cover them as well. One time I was headed home the day after a night game & got a Rochester D & C in Rochester that had to go to print before the end of the game. I think because most preseason games are at night, they get less coverage.
