  1. What other guy? The homeless bum on the street? Anyone very impressed listening to this airhead on her ABC interview wasn't listening.
  2. The Jets have top priority because this year Ch 6 had the Jets preseason games, making them the Jets station. I figure we won't get many games, but we'll be flexed 1 or 2 times in Nov/Dec to national games.
  3. We'll be pretty jammed up capwise next year with Evans, Peters, Stroud and EDWARDS all with new contracts. Edwards is going to get around $8 million or more a year. Plus a good backup will cost $2-3 million.
  4. I do not believe Jacksonville can score on us with that beat up line. Now their D may be tough, but they'll have zero offense. Just look at how bad their running & passing games were last week against Tennessee. This will be a low scoring game. Bills (win outright)/under.
  5. Nobody circles the wagons like the Albany Bills Fans.
  6. Are there any good places in Berkeley? I'll be there for the November 23rd game vs KC and I need to know where to watch it.
  7. James Brown , Chris Collinsworth, Warren Sapp & Phil Simms are the hosts. Only Collinsworth returns from last year's HBO show.
  8. I'd like to know if the writer flunked math. He said the NFC went 4-0 against the AFC.
  9. I just called. She was polite to me. She told me as of now it's still Indy-Min BUT THE MANAGER IS TRYING TO GET THE GAME SWITCHED TO BUFFALO. So, keep those calls coming.
  10. He's very good at being a backup-he's been doing it for the last 7-8 years. Belichick would rather have a backup who knows how to be a backup, than some disgruntled ex-starter. I remember looking at the QB crop before the 2005 draft. When I went over Matt Cassel's resume, I thought of (ex-Brave) Swen Nater the backup center to Lew Alcindor (now Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) at UCLA. Nater was a 1st round pick even though he was a backup in college. He went on to start for teams in the ABA & NBA. My thoughts on Cassel were he's been buried on the depth chart behind Carson Palmer & Matt Leinart and he may be better than a lot of other college team's starters. Now we'll find out if he's been a backup for a reason other than being behind college & pro superstars, or if he's another Nater.
  11. Here's my answer: The original question has nothing to do with whether one is liberal, conservative or something in between. Here's why I'm pro choice. I'm in my 50s, I was around when women were dying because they got pregnant and either couldn't afford to have a kid or were scared out of their minds that society would ostrasize them as a single parent. Have you ever known anyone whose mother died having an illegal abortion? I do. He grew up without a mother because she was too poor to fly to a place where abortions were safe. The rich had no problem getting their daughters safe abortions. The poor risked death. So really the anti choice crowd a) promote class warfare b) endorse the death penalty as an option to a young pregnant woman too poor to travel to where abortion is legal. As far as the death penalty-I'm against it unless the person is apprehended at the scene of the crime. That's the only sure way you don't put innocent people to death. Ever hear of a death row inmate freed due to evidence that exonerated them? So my question would be: 1)Why do some people want to make something illegal that would cause more otherwise healthy women to die? 2) Why are some people so quick to endorse a death penalty that puts innocent people to death?
  12. I was just on their site. I was hoping to e-mail them, but the only messages I could find were for news tips. So, I'll be calling them tommorrow when I get home since I don't want to call from work. I'm hoping I can keep my cool-that's why I would have preferred an e-mail. The hope is this is a mistake-one time a couple of years ago, the site had some ridiculous two midwest teams like this & when I called they told me they were showing the Bills. So until I hear it from them & tell them they are not showing a NY State team so they can show 2 teams with virtually no fans in the area, I'll hope the early listings are wrong.
  13. The biggest thing working against April is his age. Of the 32 coaches only Romeo Crenell & Rod Marinelli got their 1st head coaching jobs at an age in April's range. They were a little older, but most teams hire 1st time head coaches who are in their 40s.
  14. Yep. It's amazing when you get a QB you trust, you give him a season to learn the NFL and you let him play, you've suddenly changed. You get a run stuffer, better LBs and suddenly you've changed. The real story-up until this season when they added key defensive players, groomed the QB they trust, the RB has more experience than last year etc, they did not have the talent to play any other way than to play not to lose. Now this team has talent. Watch how dumb the genius Belichick looks without Brady. He's going to suddenly seem a lot more conservative.
  15. WGR just said they were stopped at the airport by Pioli & told not to bother working out, they decided to go in a different direction. Maybe it's Testaverde. Vinny's been there before & has had more returns from retirement than George Foreman.
  16. When I looked at the roster towards the end of pre-season, I thought, Wow this team is loaded! There is a ton of depth with the exception of TE. LB isn't too bad with last year's starter, DiGiorgio now a backup & DT is loaded with Stroud, Williams & Johnson playing well yesterday & McCargo still around even though he was inactive yesterday. One of the best special teams players, John Wendling wasn't even mentioned in prior posts. People laughed at me here when I posted about my purchase of Super Bowl futures & then posted my 13-3 (+Super Bowl Champions) prediction. I'm telling you, this is an elite team!
  17. The day after Whitner guarantees a playoff spot, I'm walking with a bunch of guys from work during break. One guy says "Some guy on the Bills guaranteed the Bills will make the playoffs." I immediately answered back "I guarantee it too!" Well 2 of these guys, who couldn't name more than 2 players on the entire Bills' roster, offer to bet me $10. When we finally put it in writing a couple of weeks ago, I kidded them it was like taking candy from a baby. Well now it looks easier than that. Thank's for getting me an easy $20, Donte.
  18. What could turn out to be Marv's (+ Brandon's/Modrak's) greatest hit when added up: McGahee, Spikes & Holcomb for Edwards, Stroud & Steve Johnson.
  19. We've got a real good chance to go at least 5-1 in the division.
  20. He really struggled in the bad weather against Miami last December at the Ralph.
  21. Favre vs Matt Cassel-the line may be 7 by Sunday.
